Thanks for showing how to program manually. I'm to far from any repeater to hit them with a HT my base station I can. Chirp on my Linux computer won't allow access to ports, I've tried everything under the sun for that. I couldn't read the manual even with my glasses. Appreciate it.

Hey thank you for a great video. I do have question though. I have just bought a pair of these radios. Where I am struggling is the terminology. You are very clear when you show how to change something, but I don't know what the changes mean. Is there a go to place that will explain "when you change channel" for example this will allow you to,,, blah blah,,. I find at the moment the transmission distance is very short, just a few hundred feet over flat ground here in Spain. Any help would be awesome, thank you.

These radios vary in their power ratings. I get 8 watts high on two of mine ( 2 meter band)

Be careful with reset it changes the voice to Japanese - text still English just a pain lol
