- After his sudden appearance on the internet, guitar virtuoso ichika is gaining attention not only from inside Japan, but also from around the world, with his honed sensitivity and crystalline guitar sound. Effortlessly flying across the fretboard with his miraculous technique, ichika stirs up the emotions and imagination of the listener with his vibrant instrumental compositions.
About 1 year since the release of his 1st EP “forn”, the long-awaited 2nd EP will be released.
This time, ichika's world view is expressed not only with guitar, but also with the addition of bass.

I played this song for my mom when we were just driving around and she asked, "how can a guitar sound so beautiful?" She is a very stringent classical music enthusiast who is skeptical of guitars and so for her to say that shows how amazing and beautiful Mr. Ichika's playing is.

What i like about him is he doesn't forget that a song supposed to be enjoyable. His songs are melodic, emotional, yet technically mesmerizing and spellbinding.
As i once read in youtube comments, *Heaven Metal* is a genre fitting to Ichika.

Timotius Marbun I'm legitimately curious and not trying to pick up a stupid fight, but why? What is "metal" about this? Everytime someone is very proficient at his instrument he gets thrown into a metal sub-genre or people will ever create new ones, I feel this dude is more in the jazz fusion/neo-soul ball park, again I'm no expert I'm just a listener of music and thus could be wrong , you're not the first comment like this I see and I'm just really curious as to why would ichika be metal.
Saul Hendrix I agree with you on the jazz fusion neo soul influences, but I think he gets dropped in the metal category a lot because of the techniques he uses such as tapping are most commonly used in metal. Same with extended range guifars, The only other guy I know who uses extended range ibanez to make music other than metal is that Josh Martin tapping guy
Abuv Entertainment and I'm sure indeed he listened to/played a lot of metal to learn those techniques, but I also think he necessarily plays metal now, he completely put those techniques in another context, if you'd suggest ichika by saying it's metal they'd never imagined this, maybe something more math rock like chon, plini polyphia etc.
I don't even hear math rock sound as much as I do classical. Uk he just a really great composer for the instruments he plays. I don't think he really intends to fit into any given genre, but really just ambient guitar tapping and amazing song arrangement are what give him his sound. I would just call it heaven music not heaven metal lmao.

I feel like in the future this song will be those examples of unique masterpieces that shows up once in a while in history. People will talk about it as an example of magnificent technique, melody and expression. Simply breathtaking!
One of the few guitarists that we can discern who is playing from the sound.
3:20, this part where the melody is repeated but with a slightly more, uh, 'flamboyant' (for lack of a better word in my vocabulary) harmony at the end of the melody is definitely my favorite part of the song.

This is definitely the most beautiful song i've ever heard. No words to describe this, parallel to this not having any words either, but still being able to tell a complete story just with sound. One of the only times i'm saying that this song is life changing
This is some of the most chilling, yet euphorically astounding music I've heard. This song alone makes me feel like I'm releasing thousands of birds from one, small cage as they soar amongst the clouds dabbling the sky with black and white until everything fades back to a pale blue. To put it simply, this song is absolutely gorgeous.

This song hits hard when you are sad, it makes you embrace your emotions and before you know it you might even have streams of tears flowing down your eyes. It reminds you of those emotional shrapnel lingering in your mind. You feel sad, tragic, devastated, but the song isn't over yet. It sends chills down your spine. As the song nears its end, it shows you a glimmer of light, a ray of hope. You may feel like it is a dead end in your life, instead it is a gorgeous blissful scenery. It's not the end, there's good days to come. Masterpiece.

It is only when faced with their own reflection that they see the true nature of the human "self", that it is lonely, flawed, small, insignificant, and unable to discern its own true purpose. She is devastated and led to an existential crisis, but ultimately in knowing that the truth is mostly incomprehensible to the human in her current form, she finds liberation rather than hopelessness. Just my opinion, and it's not a worldview I exactly adhere to (cheerful nihilism, I guess you could call it), but that is what I gathered from this video.

This was recommended to me after watching a bunch of Miyavi songs and videos. I am honestly glad to have found him. Both of their styles are so different, but the way that they are so intimate with their guitars to make such beautiful sounds is a blessing.
