I hadn't played guitar for over a decade, and then I discovered ichika nito. He has single-handedly made the instrument interesting to me again. I can't express how grateful I am to fall in love with guitar again, especially now that I'm stuck at home due to COVID-19. Thank you, ichika!
I lost my big brother to suicide last year and haven’t been able to play my guitar or piano the same way anymore, but when I listen To this I feel like you understand me, I feel like I could have composed this in my dreams. It’s because we all belong to the same family of humans and we share a common thread within music and that’s just amazing because you’ve helped me get through this rough patch and I’ve now got more styles I want to add to my own thanks to you ichi Love you brother
I know the feel. Lost my big bro to suicide too. My heart still aches 15 years after, but it becomes bearable in time. Pick up that guitar, sit in front of that piano and allow it to flow. It helps the healing process.
What people don't realize is that these are longer than the videos he posted of the riffs he used for these songs... smh. Ichika is an amazing musician. Anyone focused on the dislikes missed out. Peace.
When I listen to ice, I imagine a mountain climber getting separated from their group. They’re cold and they’re scared, but using the last bit of will and strength in their slowly freezing body they climb up to a comfortable spot to lean themselves against. They look out and their stirring mind calms, accepting what is to come. They take slow and strained breaths as they look at the glorious view of the mountains icy majesty, the barren yet beautiful peaks of snow cascading all around makes them crack a smile. And as the song fades out they draw their last breath, and their body succumbs to hypothermia. Their final moments of happiness now forever frozen like the ice they lay on.
I'm 65 and when I have trouble falling asleep due to insomnia., and now for some reason I can't explain this just puts me to sleep faster than anything I've ever experienced, and it feels wonderful listening to this
I get why people want these songs to be longer, but at the same time, within these tracks, every single chord change is so carefully thought out, as if every single voicing has its own journey at the same time as all the others. There are so many moving parts in its melodic structure that it must take several days to settle on what sounds the best. So many musicians are worried about filling up time, but you do the very opposite, and make 60 seconds the best it can possibly be. You’re an inspiration my dude, thank you for this.
Ichika Nito, if you read this, I just want to say that your music makes me feel things I never new could be felt. Orb is decidedly my favorite. Thank you for being such an amazing person
While, without a doubt, I love this ep, I kinda wish it had more songs! You have so many beautiful ones which really deserve a full version! But maybe next time c:
i have goosebumps. it's so authentically lovely that I get all giddy and find myself smiling lots. Orb feels like a 5am walk when almost noone's awake yet. Or after you've been crying a lot and someone gives you a hug/warm drink/covers/ you come in from the cold and start to feel okay again.

This guy is really taking the entire guitar music game to a whole new level. This EP is so soft and beautifully written it's like a warm hug I've needed for so long.
To my favourite guitarist , sir ichika Nito , I'll keep this comment here for my future self , in hopes of becoming as talented as you are one day. As of right now , I'm 18 senior year of high school , been playing guitar for a bit over a year and a half , own a beginner classical guitar . I am considered to be a grade 4/8 in the ABRSM . I'm the point in time where we are quarantined at home so I can't attend my guitar lesson . My teacher gave me a very difficult melody "parazula" because he knew im stubborn enough to keep going at it till i master something unattainable by my current skill level . As of now , i have almost mastered the barre chords , basic chords and am very proud to say that i got to play the melody part from your song , "i miss you" , The moment i got to play it felt like a dream . I so hope i can get an acoustic guitar soon , and then an electric one. I just want to thank u for the your beautiful music that always motivates me to improve and reach new heights , and the will to become one of the best guitarists in the world . So , future me , tell me how far your passion got you . Are u now worthy enough to call yourself ichika's rival? That's very unrealistic even 5 years into the future 😅 , but hey , I have a feeling u won't disappoint me 😊
This is beautiful. Truly beautiful. I can't believe the level you are at on guitar! You have wonderful composition! I like how it seems you build off of your ideas. You post your ideas and we can hear some of them in future songs, or you make full versions of them. I'm so glad I found your channel!
Your playing is so clean and the composition has so much emotion. I love this EP so much! I discovered your band Ichikoro and I am so glad I found such beautiful music ^^! Can't wait to listen to more of this! :D
I can’t play guitar anymore, due to a perpetual pain every time I start to play it. Can play piano, but it’s not the same. Now I compose electronic music and it’s likely a wonderful thing for expressing feelings. This EP has opened my memories and I revived strong and farfetched emotions that I never felt.
that's incredible how this music engulfs its listener, it's almost like you're part of it. you must be extremely hardworking and also very talented if you're able to make something that wonderful and emotional. 感動をありがとうございます!
I remember listening to this on the bus to and from a competition I was in during my senior year of high school. It was almost always dark, we would make our way to the site before sunrise and return to school as the sun set. Listening to this again, I remember the strange comfort of the dimly lit bus and the quiet chatter of other students while I watched the sky through the window. That competition was one of the few things I looked forward to in high school, good times :>
Just discovered this and damn, how amazing is this? Thanks man, you made my last couple of days. This is what brings people together ❤️ As soon as I can travel to Japan again I’ll be sure to see if I can see you live.
