Loved this video !!!! I say have at least 6 months to a year of reserves . Like what you said if God forbid you lose your job you have that saved . What hubby and I started doing is after tithing we take what’s left from our monthly income and 50% goes to bills 30% goes to play money (vacations , dinners , birthdays , clothing , nails etc) 10% toward emergency fund and 10% toward building another savings .

Tip that I’ve learned is with saving is pay yourself first. Just like they take out for federal and state, setup a direct deposit for savings. I think people get caught up in the dollar amount they should or can save, especially if they’re not making alot. No amount is too small because if you get into a habit of saving, when you start making more it will become second nature to save. At first if you can only afford to save $50 a week or month, than just save that.

One of the things that keeps me going when I get down and start to feel I'm alone and I don't know what direction to go in, is when I worked part-time and was broke until the next paycheck. I took a leap of faith and left a full-time job that I hated for the part-time job that I felt would eventually give me what I needed. I didn't want to keep bothering someone else for money because they might have been struggling too. I simply needed something to eat for the remainder of the week. I prayed asked God for $20 till I was paid again. Sure enough, THE very next day I was walking and found exactly $20 on the ground. I couldn't believe it!!
Idk what made me happier, finding the $20 or realizing that God is listening to me and cares about what I'm going through. This was long but I had to share my story folks because He's so good. 🙏♥️

speaking from experience myself... i think that money does make a person more happy. just the fact that you don't have that every day worry lifts an insane amount of weight off your shoulders. not having to think about weather you can order food cause you want to treat yourself, being able to go on vacation, being able to buy nice things for myself and for others and see their face light up.. i am 100% convinced (like i said, not hating, its from my own experience) that money makes you more happy.

It brings freedom so the happiness comes from the freedom. Freedom equals choice.
If it made people happy, rich people wouldn't get into trouble with the law. Rich people wouldn't get depressed. Having good health is happiness. If one is healthy they can accomplish any thing.

"my situation financially was not where my happiness lied. I never allowed my financial situation to be the marker for the level of happiness & joy I had in my heart." I love that!

I get you A. In a situation I didn’t have, I just got some money in my account. I was shocked. Waited to see if the bank will call to say it was a mistake so they had to refund. I tried calling them to tell them but no one picked my calls to the bank. Till date, there hasn’t been a call about the money. GOD IS GOOD🥰

I am so glad this video was suggested to me. Perfect explanation about investing and having faith. I remember 2 years ago my bank account was on -$10 and I had to depend on my sister financially. I learned so much from the bottom and I am grateful for where I am at today. Sometimes we need to remember that money doesn't bring happiness we can give that to ourselves and we can learn how to manage our money from our mistakes. I thought people were just born into knowledge I have realized so many people have learned just like me from struggling.I always thought the cheetah girls were rich. I love this video!
