  • In Part 1 of this look at WALKING Bass I take a look at some really essential concepts for walking bass line creation-and we're going to use 2 bars from a Paul Chambers style bass line to help...
Plus we look at what NOT to do ( like simply running straight up arpeggios)

Great content and really nice lines. Butch Warren is also worthy of mention. These guys seem to come up with endless variation and somehow never sound corny. Arpeggios definitely don't cut it!

Merci for this. I'm a Noob at piano taking it up as I retired. And I think I have to get a good bass rhythm to do what I really want to do. So I watched your video and picked up some good hints.
By the way, I'm a Chiropractor with a major bum shoulder and had to change my work techniques. But I came back from all my operations and kept working, with other techniques. I've got some exercises for the low back already, if you're on Twitter I can send them to you. But since I have become an expert on the upper extremity, I will be doing a video on exercises and self-treatment for the hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders.
My daughter will be filming and editing next week, I'm not interested in starting my own channel. But if you'd like to have it for your channel...
