- I am the greatest tier list maker known to man. All of my opinions on the Splatoon 3 lineup of hairstyles is the MOST objectively correct, and you are just nit-picky for thinking otherwise. My opinion remains king, much like my skill level in this game.

My only real complaint about the hairstyles in the game is that Octolings only have short hair options so if you wanna wear a hat 9/10 you'll just be covering up all of your hair making you look bald 💀
The Octolocs hairstyle is, hands down, my favorite of them all. I chose it, since it’s also the closest to my wavy hair. You know how people, usually LGBT people, say that something is “very gender”? That’s what I feel about them. A just right haircut that anyone can sport, regardless of gender.

i think the crunchy hair really matches the vibes of the splatlands too!! its supposed to be a super harsh n hot environment to contrast alterna so its fun thag the wear and tear shows on the tentacle :] i wish they did more like it tbh
The crunchy hair is my favorite for the inkling it’s kinda like a choppy/messy cut (plus it’s short so it gets a bonus for that) and personally that one to me was a good gender neutral style :D

Splatoon 3 was my first Splatoon game, and I have super thick and long curly hair. I always kinda expect hairstyles in games to exclusively have straight hair or maybe wavy, but when I saw the octoling curls I was genuinely so happy to have hair in a game similar to my hair irl
As someone who rocks the octo ponytail cut constantly, I can confirm that I am still in school and still see cat videos as peak comedy.

the octo afro hairstyle is so fun, it just irks me that it doesn't follow the 4 tentacle rule

My favorite hairstyles are all over the place 😅
As an Octoling I usually wear the gender neutral/masc locs, the Jojo cut, or the single loc (Octo expansion).
As an inkling I usually wear the slick back, hipster, the masc ponytail or the popular girl hairstyle.
2:22 they were so close to including the mullet mushcut which is so much better than the divot one (divot looks a lot better with a hat but still mullet vintage supremacy)

I’ll give pigtails this, I have very thick, curly hair and when I put it in a pony it just explodes and I love it. Pigtails in a cap look exactly like my hair and that is one of my only reasons to really ever swap off ponies

I think the OG fem 8 hairstyle (the down one) looks WAY better in splatoon 2 tbh, it looked a lot more voluminous and the curls at the ends of the tentacles were bigger. They deflated it in splat 3 :[

Right away the hair I use is is at the bottom, that was very expected 😂
switching from sp2, I had no idea genders were erased. I did all of sp3 story mode with the fem octocurls, then went to go customize my hair and was like "holy shit I can do any hairstyle and still sound like a girl??"
it's been 2 and a half months or so and it's worked out well. Wearing the teddy band with the afro gives me a very cute look, it reminds me of a bonnet a lot. I'm not poc tho but by god does the afro go hard. If I were an Inkling, I'd chose Agent 4's hair, or the masc shaved hair
