Blue pallet with octobrush is also really stupid strong, you can push everything out of the way at neck break speed and Stamper charges in no time.
I want to clarify the roguelike vs roguelite
LIKE is accurate, you die you start from scratch. Think risk of rain or binding of Isaac kind of thing, you can unlock new charcaters, items, etc. That will show up in your next run
LITE is a bit different than he described, not entirely innacratte but in my experience it's more like side order or games like immortal redneck or gunfire reborn. You get permanent upgrades that make the game easier on the next run when you die, say more damage, extra lives, more defense, etc.
90% of people dont give a shit about that difference tbh

It makes a big difference in games imo. Like I don't play binding of Isaac because it's hard and there's no it gets easier type thing. Compared to roguelites where there is a general sense of permanent progression.
It definitely makes a difference depending on the person.

i mean, binding of issac kinda does get easier though because the more you play the more items and features you unlock. you make things easier as you progress by getting more options.
a roguelike has to be a topdown rpg dungeon crawler (usually with textbased graphics) with permadeath and procgen mechanics. roguelite means its any other genre but still with permdeath and procgen
I tried this but with all the support palettes and with the charger, not once I ran out of ink, I had so much fun just firing non stop…
I enjoy sub spam with lucky bombs. You throw one splat bomb and everything dies.
I had to suffer through no pearl drone with this build
In Side Order, my personal favorite special is Killer Wail. It shreds portals and bosses, plus it makes pushing the tower easier. I just did a tri-stringer run with a pretty even split of range and mobility chips, plus a couple stacks of sound wave damage. I ended up only having to fire like two shots while walking to fully charge wail.
This entire run is just:
"Okay sweetie you hold my beer a minute."
"Sweet thanks dad."
Before I watched this I finished side order :)
i already loved rogue-likes/-lites, so side order was a lovely little thing for me. do i wish it were harder? yea. but some times, i just wanna feel stupid powerful off the bat and this game lets me do that and i deeply appreciate that.

You should try a fast shooting weapon with a lot of knockback, I tried it and it was so fun

I find it funny that the idol that almost everyone bullied during their debut for being short and having a big forehead, can carry people’s Side Order runs and is doing more to support the player than any of the other idols (excluding Marina) combined. Be careful who you bully, they might end up being the one you rely on
As one of the Pearl supporters from day one, the fact that Pearl can *Literally* carry you through runs fills me with joy

Did not understand the Pearl Hate. I also did not play Splatoon 2 because I don't play games that often anymore, so I might not understand it yet. But also I love all of the idols for their super cool designs anyways.

I’ve been finding that drone runs are easily the most powerful, you get a little bit of luck (EVEN 1 COMBO INCREASE) with a drone chip percentage easily gives pearl the raw dps to murder EVERYTHING

If you're interested in taking recommendations for various roguelites you could showcase, then may I recommend my favourite of all time, 30XX? It's a far cry from Splatoon (being more Mega Man X styled in terms of visuals and gameplay), but... I love it. Dearly.
Do a sub weapon chip run with the suction bombs, I accidentally did that for the slosher and my god it was the funniest thing

Does Stamp's rush mode count? I know the shockwaves are considered explosions but not sure if the hammer itself can be boosted by Rush chips.
@@bluekirby_64 hammer works, and does more dps than reefslider. But reefslider can mow down by basically turning into a truck.

Also also: Wisp/Frenzy are artificial, but they don’t have a ton of hyper-go-on energy. They have their own unique version of it, which is the result of the mutation that creates them in the first place. They fall into the category of Nega-Wisps.

I had a run where i get every single pearl chip and i think a range chip that helped pearl, i basically didnt even have to shoot

Roguelite is more characterized by the meta progression of the game, such as unlocks and boons for future runs
This is the first time a singleplayer mode has actually been really fun for me!! the other ones were ok, they were fun for the first playthroughs, but side order is really fun to replay AND it even encourages you to!!

I recommend prioritizing splash damage and splash radius if you can find them. Splash radius is invaluable for crowd control, and splash damage will scale way better on your splat bombs than damage on your main weapon. They both effect a lot of other things (a few specials, pearls bombs, lucky bombs), so there's a lot of ways to build around it.
@@tripsandwich its up to 4 hacks, actually. not 2. although i did end up only using 2 since i valued color chips slightly more. for me, i used 1 life for insurance, though i never actually ended up dying in my run, as well as 1.2x damage.

As far as my only-reached-floor-30-once understanding goes, the lore reasons for Marina needing to be constantly on her laptop wouldn't be relevant after clearing floor 30 the first time? idk I just like Marina more (also I was Team Order lmao)

the reason why we cant switch pearl drone for marina is cuz marina coded the memverse so that shes like a "final boss" to reconfig a sanitized octos memories while pearl is their support. she actually has cute dialog about how its like shes a princess trapped in a castle while pearlie is her saviour, thats why you cant change it, marina just doesnt want to lol. plus at the final boss marina has to be a dj for support, pearl only sings so she couldnt be able to play music to help us!

I did 2 mono chip runs last night. Support is BUSTED for charger. You can turn it into the grizzco charger but with max homing and infinite ink. I did the luck pallette with dualies and it's so fun. I love frolicking around all the items while the lucky bombs nuke everything around me lmfao

Lots of people like kraken. But crab and tri are just better for destroying portals. I prefer crab more just because of being able to easily pop one when your armor breaks(assuming u have alot of special charge related stuff.) same with kraken but kraken cant reach most portals
support might be the worst set of color chips, unless you're using charger. homing shots + ink saver main + insane ink recovery = infinite destruction

The moment I was told to just beat side order with just using pearl I thought it wasn't gonna be any use, no.. No.. They mentioned the pearl drone being op. Like. Asf. Literally made it through and beated side order with my first palette (marinas brella). Nowadays I'm able to breeze through side order with no issues at all due to unlocking more hacks :P

I was told that the difference between a rogue-like and a rogue-lite was the style of gameplay, where rogue-likes mimic the turn-based, exploration-focused gameplay of Rogue, and rogue-lites alter the gameplay, meaning that Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is a rogue-like, whereas games Hades and Binding of Isaac are rogue-lites.

I did find out during a Drone run is one can have 35 Drone chips total on a Palette... and that's it.
Any chips you get after that are semi-random, but Drone chips are out of the pool. This is where you ask yourself whether to collect a final chip or not.
Still, Pearl Drone is OP. Remind me to run both Sprinkler and Inkstrike on my next Drone run.

After watching this i decided to make my own pearl drone a god and i finally beat the DLC! Conclusion:make the pearl drone a god=free win

Also, fun fact: Rondo dies instantly when the three layers that are lined with LEDs are destroyed. You don't have to destroy the rest of it, technically... implying there's a minimum amount of layers you HAVE to destroy to beat the boss.
support is the worst? you can basically make the charger the grizzco charger with support with homing
If you had max drone battery drop and turf drone gauge this would genuinely allow you to just put the controller down after 10 seconds
When I play a support monotone run, I play on charger and I can shoot 22 times with griz charger speed and it feels too over powered to be real I am not joking

Not sure if I understand the effectiveness of drone sprinkler. I feel like the bombs she spits out every 0.5 seconds ink more turf than the sprinkler
One mild annoyance with pearl only runs is their aren’t actually enough drone chips to make a full pallet of them, it’s 1 short
Heres my proof that tri in strike beacon nuke thing is better than booya bomb. Tri stike can take out a portal with all 3 strikes, booya does not.
