The "stop, drop and roll" x 3 before he starts shooting takes this from a shocking display of incompetence and turns it into a hilarious deleted scene from Step Brothers.
All I know is that if I did a "mag dump" at a police officer and my excuse was "The totality of circumstances surrounding my fear", I wouldn't be getting out of prison for at least twenty years. So the question was "Do I think the officer should be charged?" Umm, I'm gunna say "YES!"

the suspect not getting shot is fucking hilarious. bro turned into fucking neo in the back of a patrol car while his arresting officer has a PTSD attack over an acorn.
Meanwhile the acorn cop himself turned into Ahnold while crawling over to the sidewalk for some strange reason. All in all, just your typical afternoon in Florida. 😆
He resigned rather than deal with his fellow officers leaving a stuffed squirrel in his locker, pelting him with peanuts, and assigning him the call sign "Acorn". 😅
Ik people at this dept, and apparently deputies are going around throwing acorns at each other and saying shots fired. Dude isn't even there and they are busting his nuts....
While Donut didn't explain it clearly, apparently the female complainant had already told the officers of him being violent towards her. It didn't come out of nothing.
He rolled over a supposed "suppressed shot" that's assuming the person who "shot" had extensive knowledge of subsonic rounds and had access to suppressors, OR the rounds were fired, MILES away, what a dunce!
This is the problem with law enforcement, agencies allow officer to resign in lieu of being fired. It is a major issue in public safety. This deputy should have been FIRED & charged! The detainee is in the best position because the incompetent deputies made him very wealthy. PTSD my ass, try incompetent!

Obviously you have zero professional training, knowledge, experience, or skills in this area. In order for something to be a crime, it has to have all of the required elements of that crime. This incident doesn't contain all the elements of any crime.
@@Gurn_Blanston It's still gross negligence at the very least. All I'm saying is you shouldn't be able to start a shootout in a neighborhood and get away with it because of a fucking acorn.

Unknown if it had active warrants, if it did or didn't murder babies, may or may not be a drug addict. The police are doing a thorough investigation examining all possibilities, but the officer was protecting and serving the public, and any future criminals who may be in the neighborhood downrange from his car. Just like the Uvalde officers, please reserve judgement on these heros, those kids were probably going to grow up to be criminals anyway. It's very stressful and they are doing all they can with our tax dollars, tax paid pensions, tax paid investigations, and tax paid oppression!

I understand in high-stress situations you make mistakes, I'm a Marine Corps vet who served two tours in Iraq, and was in the first ones into Baghdad, been in many firefights and taken a round to my leg, I understand that when in a stressful situation and not having all info your mind is on edge, but what i see in this situation is lack of training, lack of communication, lack of assessment to situation, lack of keeping control of where those bullets are going, lack of keeping those girls out of the situation, lack of taking time to reassess the situtation and communicate. This is what we call a clusterfu*k.
@hawkeye5955 it doesn't even matter. Cause they even patted him down before handcuffing him. They knee for a fact he had no gun. That Cop is just a fool
THANK YOU. I have probably half to less than half the training you have. I grew up & did some Boy Scouts, then AFJROTC, Shadow IV, Summer Leadership School, Civil Air Patrol, & Enlisted in the Marines (didn't deploy, but was still in for 9 months training). I've been training by Police to Military in all walks of life, on duty, off duty, retired, active, reservist, you name it. I'm considered a CIVILIAN but I see that officer & I've been in more dangerous spots than that & acted better than that. All I see is INCOMPETENCE. There is no situation in the world were you wouldn't wait for a SECOND shot... or get down, & ACCESS to see IF a second shot was coming if you were THAT sure. You NEVER BLIND FIRE. What was the point of the shoulder rolls if not to get safe to gather info? Once there did he NOT notice no more gunfire took place? They had time to have an entire conversation. SHOTS FIRED? WHERE? SHOTS FIRED?? WHERE?!?! THERE?!?! THERE?!?! BACK OF THE CAR?!?! Well by then obviously no more shots were being fired.... time to think again buddy. At that point you might wanna take a breath. The difference between not being able to do that is life & death.
Dude has to have some sort of undiagnosed PTSD because that’s absolutely insane. Plus the fact that he thought he had been hit too. Edit: Some sources do cite he was a military veteran. Angry Cops stated he was a Special Forces Officer with 10 years TIS and 2 tours to Afghanistan. Take that for what you will.
I’m from New Orleans and hear all the time acorns from the huge live oaks that we have hit cars. In absolutely no way does it sound like a gun shot. And geez, what an idiot mag dumping (twice) into a vehicle holding an unarmed suspect.
I suppose his thinking was based on the fact they believed the suspect could be armed with a suppressed pistol, as he sent his GF an image of him holding one towards her car.
@@christianw6819Clearly he's not a good cop or former military. A suppressed firearm doesn't sound like little clicks or a Lazer gun. The main purpose of a suppressor is to disguise the initial discharge to sound like maybe cars crashing or a pallet of cinder blocks hitting the ground. Next it is to eliminate the subsequent crack from the bullet's sonic boom. In the military you hear a loud bang and listen for the crack, especially on combat and security patrols. You can't be in a jungle and a tree falls and think it's shooting and compromise a mission, screaming "sniper". The very best suppressors with subsonic ammunition even on guns designed for suppressors might reduce it down to 120 decibels for the best and maybe 100 decibels superior with maybe subsonic .25? There are maybe two guns with built in suppressors that get down to 90 decibels? I'm not in the game and not up on tech so correct me if I'm wrong and suddenly they got suppressors down to that little "chirp" sound at 11 decibels. You wear hearing protection when shooting silenced pistols. This is not Ghost Recon or Call of Duty. The cop was never in the military so the only way he got PTSD is if Daddy and big brother abused him with a nerf pistol.
It’s like that scene in Talledega Nights when Will Farell jumps out of his car yelling about how he’s on fire when there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him.
I can't even hear the acorn hit the car 😂😂 dude flipped out the smallest noise. Seemed like he wired him self like that and wanted a situation like that to happen
@@Yeet-bv7gi Auto-gain with a badge cam mic makes it impossible to judge the actual loudness. You'll notice in many badge cam videos, once shots break, you can't hear other loud noises (such as people screaming), because the auto-gain function has dumped the gain to try and keep the gunshots from clipping. If the release time is set particularly long, it might take 30 seconds for the gain to come back to "normal". An officer speaking or rustling the camera can also cause the AGC to dump the gain. Also, they're not particularly sensitive mics. They're crappy little miniature dynamic mics, likely with a forward-facing cardioid pattern. A sound loud enough to make you shit your pants will barely register if it's off-axis. An acorn falling and hitting a car roof or hood is louder than you think, particularly when everything else is quiet. I've mistaken the sound for a gunshot before. Our neighbors shoot all the time, and the slightly muffled report of their rifle a half mile away sounds almost exactly like an acorn hitting a car roof 20 feet away.
NO CRIMINAL WRONGDOING, for mag dumping at a person who was detained, HANDCUFFED, and no threat, in a residential neighborhood, because he heard a noise... I... am... speechless. How the fuck do these people get hired as police officers in the first place. This is scary. This could happen to ANYONE, during any interaction with police. Something needs to change, but I don't really see how this gets fixed. At the very least Qualified Immunity needs to go now!
They get hired because not enough people who would make good cops want the job in today's anti-cop world. (Not justifying this shit, the guy needs charges and definitely needs counseling)
@Adui13 There are also a lot of people that would love to be cops, but will refuse to do the job on ethical concerns as long the State overreach of Vice prohibition exists. Like me. I'd love to be a cop, I think I'd be good at it, but I just won't put someone in a cage for a plant or for selling something that belongs to them.
dude its nuts. 30 rounds and not a single hit. lucky for the suspect though. imagine his story when he goes to jail...... inmate: yo man what you in for suspect: taking my GFs car hostage inmate: they shot at u for that? suspect: no it was an acorn
@@TimmyTactical-dz4qg Yep. What this channel and others show is that you are definitely in a competition so be fast *and* accurate. Much more so as a LEO. One of the best police responses I've seen on video was a domestic situation where the initial officer chose not to shoot but rather waited for backup with a patrol carbine. That takes a whole different level of awareness and humility. Of course the situation wasn't life or death so he could afford to wait some but still. Backup with said carbine shows up, takes one shot, stops the threat, and they rescued the child. Then there are videos like this...
If you go from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds thats gonna mess your body up if you're not used to it, which is why his legs literally gave out. I’ve been iffy on the male cop. That looks like PTSD to me. A female cop definitely not though she thought her partner had just been shot. Of course she’s going to shoot at what he’s shooting at. Because she trusts him to have not just started randomly shooting things.
@@redactedredacted4080 I don't buy the PTSD argument. Granted I am not one who suffers from it but I run .22, 9mm, 5.56 and .308 suppressed and none of them sounds like an acorn hitting the roof of a car. As for her, your argument makes it even worse. This is what happens when hollywood makes people think suppressors make guns silent.

They're crappy little miniature dynamic mics, likely with a forward-facing cardioid pattern. the world is anti cop due to their own actions and nothing else@@Adui13
That officer is high af 😂😂😂
This is like something you'd see on an episode of Reno 911.
Oh so close 😂
😂
Yessssss
I can't believe how there was not one mention of these two cops having the accuracy of a storm trooper.
With optics on their pistols too. 🤦🏿 Can't buy skill.
dude its nuts. 30 rounds and not a single hit. lucky for the suspect though. imagine his story when he goes to jail......
inmate: yo man what you in for
suspect: taking my GFs car hostage
inmate: they shot at u for that?
suspect: no it was an acorn
@@TimmyTactical-dz4qg Yep. What this channel and others show is that you are definitely in a competition so be fast *and* accurate. Much more so as a LEO.
One of the best police responses I've seen on video was a domestic situation where the initial officer chose not to shoot but rather waited for backup with a patrol carbine. That takes a whole different level of awareness and humility. Of course the situation wasn't life or death so he could afford to wait some but still. Backup with said carbine shows up, takes one shot, stops the threat, and they rescued the child.
Then there are videos like this...
This is gonna be a hell of a lawsuit. Absolutely wild
If you go from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds thats gonna mess your body up if you're not used to it, which is why his legs literally gave out. This is another thing that people who never experienced this have no clue about. This was not ptsd, it was lack of experience/training.
His legs giving out is whats going to save him from a lengthy prison sentence, because thats the proof that he really was in fear and wasn't acting.
@@DesertStateInEU THe most you could do is tear up a muscle because you ask an effort from a cold muscle but that's all. A pain, not a fully numb leg.
@@DesertStateInEU Plus he's probably a typical overweight dumb cop, by my guess. his poor little donut legs couldnt take the stress
Am I the only one that's angry that the squirl got off scot-free?
@@DesertStateInEU He was special forces, with two tours in Iraq.... HE HAD TRAINING. THIS IS INCOMPETENCE
These cops should be charged, not only are they incredibly stupid they’re also a danger to the public .
90 IQ "It was real in my mind" cop
90 seems way go generous 😂
@@hitmanslayer3003more like 75
Mehh. His eyes are closer together than that...😂
90 ??, really, more like 65
@@tudwortyjmcguern5689 yall being real generous with this, that man is borderline brain dead.
How is this not reckless engagement? Both of these "cops" should be in prison. No civilian would be given this much leeway.
She had no PID on a shooter and just started dumping rounds into the car. She had zero confirmation that any rounds were even coming from the car. If this was in Iraq and these two were US Military they would be in Leavenworth right now.
@redactedredacted4080 nah that ain't no ptsd, I've been shot at over seas. Person handcuffed in the back seat of your car after you searched them, stop making excuses for this stupidity.
@@redactedredacted4080ptsd should disqualify you from being an officer.
@@was6transam01 To be fair, you don't "run" suppressed weapons from inside cars while you're outside of them. This deputy is a West Point graduate and a special forces combat veteran of two deployments to Afghanistan, you ought to have a little more compassion. Imagine the perfect storm of circumstances lining up to create the worst day in your life and it living on the internet forever where every mouth breathing cretin and armchair quarterback who has never so much as touched a gun weighs in. It's gotta be just the worst thing ever.
Idk what I think is more hilarious. His combat roll, his thinking he was shot, or the screaming he did after.
"im hit!" 😂😂😂
the fact that after all of that they shot nothing but their car and the handcuffed person was unharmed...
bro that role looked like something you see in one of of those cheap low budget movies that are actually bad.
