    I remember rigging my trucks up in the past years back in the 90's when I was single with many girlfriends 😄. It was fun. There are more cooler options now. Now I have a family of 7 so I just have a cookie cutter 34 foot camper trailer. It boring but fast to get ready to camp. Cool truck. Man if I had that truck everytime I get out I would have to give it a second look while I walk into the store or just give it that second glance.Thanks for sharing.

      That is the raddest snorkel we’ve ever seen! He has a video in his channel talking about the build process of the snorkel. We don’t want to spoil it for anyone so go check it out.

    Just bought an OBD Ford to mix things up! I was in the same boat with you on tired of seeing Toyota’s and Jeep’s on the trail! Can’t wait to build her and get her into a weapon!

    He went with Ford and now there is a recall on the 2020 Super Duty transmission. There is a reason everyone goes with Ram.

      Haha. You must be a Dodge guy. Unfortunately no manufacturer is immune to issues and they all seem to have their own strengths and weaknesses. It’s just part of it. Dodge definitely makes a great rig too. No doubt about that.

      @@legacyoutdoorsfamilyadvent9127 To each their own. I will never buy another Dodge. Horrible experience with dealerships. My 19 Super Duty running strong without issues except moonroof but that was fixed in 2 hrs. Still have my 2nd gen Cummins. Pre EPA. It's a work horse. But anything dodge always breaking. Working the 19 hard and up until now just roof issue like all the big 3 have had. Find something you like and go with it. I was young when cummins came into my life. Always wanted Ford like my F150. Platinum F350 has lived up to its reputation.

    So what axles? What gears? The stock front end can not handle that load. How about steering? No hydraulic assist? The only stock pick up truck that can swing 40 inch tires and not need an axle replacement is the F450/550 with its 10 lug commercial axles and steering knuckles/ball joints. Also, the F450/550 has a much larger steering box that can actually turn tires that size unlike the F250 and 350. Also the 4 door is to long to be any use on a trail lol. This is all why I went with a 22 f450 regular cab dully. (4” longer wheelbase than a gladiator)I see a really well built truck with lots of expensive “stuff” all over it missing the really important things. The thing it needs to do what it was designed for without breaking. This will brake the front axle the first hard trail it finds.

    I do love this truck but rigs like this (and any full size for that matter) just aren't applicable to overlanding on most of the east coast where I'm at. The trails are too narrow and winding to maneuver a full size. I dig the build though and I'm sure it'd be awesome in the Midwest or on the west coast.

      If it’s a true full size Overland Build they won’t care about scratching!! They would use that fancy self healing PPF. I mean why not? Some spend 1000’s on a gas grill. 🤣🤣. Nice rig though

    Fake bead locks??? But why?

    • @legacyoutdoorsfamilyadvent9127
      @legacyoutdoorsfamilyadvent9127  2 роки тому

      For some it’s mostly for aesthetics but they do offer some benefits over other wheels. We are running a set of “street locks” on our GX because we like the look, it provides better protection of the valve stem, and while it doesn’t “lock” the tire onto the wheel like true bead locks, it does seem to help keep the bead on at lower pressures. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching.

    when you have bunch of money you can built anything you wanted . but it's cool truck, I don't understand the open bed concept as you drive thru the dirt roads all dust collects there. I'm not sure why people do this unless they do built but really never travel anywhere

    • @legacyoutdoorsfamilyadvent9127
      @legacyoutdoorsfamilyadvent9127  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Vadim! There is definitely a significant amount of money invested in a build like this. Most builds with racks like this that we’ve seen also utilize some type of storage for their loose gear to keep it out of the elements. They do a good job keeping gear stored and organized and allow easy access into the bed area as well as having a platform to mount a RTT (roof top tent). You should check out his channel for the video he did recently answering the “why” he built his rig. It’s a pretty cool story. There are plenty of builds out there that are purely show rigs, but he actually uses this one for the purposes he built it for as well as going to shows. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @phlfly10
      @phlfly10 3 роки тому

      I don't need to check anyone channel as I have titan xd and I k own very well how dust collects and where. Don't confuse people with video that truck equipment is 50k at least . Don't get me wrong but I know the cost and way to travel. He said tires 40 ! No way it can fit any truck without major mods of suspension and drive train. Just don't like bs videos

      @@phlfly10 these newer Ford and Ram HD trucks fit 40" tires with nothing more then a fender flares kit (fenders cut for flares) and a leveling kit. In America 40s are the new 35s. Thanks for sharing.

    That’s a build for show and not for practical purposes. He’s probably never slept in that tent. A soft shell (crappy tent) fold out at 12 feet high. Putting that cover back on would drive anyone nuts. Ridiculous. He cares more about lumens output then practicality. Also cut a hole through the subframe - genius ( aka Darwin nominee).
