  • A good way keep track of the twists in your cables is Left top, Left bottom, Right top and Right bottom. You also want to keep track of the twists that you have added or removed from your string.

    Cool! So question, if I have a 2 year old string that is original to the bow, the manufacturer recommends to replace the cables every 2, assuming the cable still looks good, could you just add twists to it to tighten it back up, or is that a disaster waiting to happen?

      I personally would not do that. I don’t plan to change my GAS strings every 2 years, I will change them as soon as they show signs of wear.
