This song reminds me of the days at school when we sang it I think of all my school mate's from 1963 to 1970 but it brings tears 😢😢

I became an angry atheist after some bad things happened in my life. I heard this song at my uncle's funeral, and it resonated with me. Im back at church, and I partially owe it to this song.

If this song doesn't make you give your life to God, or you have strayed from him please ask God for his forgiveness, and if you haven't been baptized, please do so. It's NEVER too late as long as you are still breathing. Thank you Jesus for going through such brutal punishment and agonizing death just for our sins to be forgiven.

I live in a little place called Wales in the UK there are groups of Christians praying for a outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Prayer meetings are being said in loads of Church`s and Chapel`s every Friday. Wales was once Christian but has turned its back on God PLEASE prayer for us my country needs to come back home to God. how many and who among the Gaither's singing group have gone home? Is this group still singing? I am 65 nut I still love to sing with them even if its on yo tube only. I just love this group. God bless them all their lives.
They retired in 2002, but the one on the far right still solos.
And Harold Reid, the bass who is on the left, died April 24, 2020 of kidney failure at 80.
I love these hymns and nobody does better than the Statler Brothers. Listen daily

Amen to that! These songs of the faith are on the endangered list. Most churches in America today do not want these type of songs in their service.

Amen to that. Too much of what's in the church isn't church music. Good for home, driving around, keeping God on the mind, but seriously lacking in a church. But have to keep those happy in the pew or they will up and leave.

His name is Harold Reid, but unfortunately he died of kidney failure at age 80 on April 24th, 2020.
