My grandpa passed away last week. He was a missionary who did God's work by spreading the gospel in rural places, while also holding healing crusades. Before finding Christ, grandpa was one of the richest businessmen in the state. He found God and gave up his wealth to serve the father. He died a man of God at the ripe age of 94 still praying for people. This song hits me so hard and i want to cry again cause i miss grandpa.

Lost my grandad in 1996. I miss him everyday and wish I could sit on the back porch and talk to him once more. This song describes his life. The most humble & loving man I have ever known. In his last week on earth he told me, boy I want to go home. I said grandad, you are at home. He said, no boy, I want to go home. I told him it's okay if you go home grandad, your work on this earth has been tremendous. His name was John Earl Clingenpeel . I'm forever proud and grateful to be his grandson. I'll see you again one day grandad and we will sit on the porch and chat all day long

20 years ago today is the day that my beloved Mexican wife died of cancer, She was only 40 years old. I have missed her very much but as per the words of this song 'Lord, I'm Ready To Go Home.' Thanks guys. A week ago I was ready to go. I've been so sick in bed for 4 years I didn't think I could go on. My Dr put me on some new medicine I've for the first without my walker in 4 years. I'm not going to get better their not much they can do. But I scared at God & said God why don't you help me. Then just a few days I had to go to the Dr & he put on the meds. I've been a new person since.

And the song,, well I've been asking God to take me since He took my mom with Him in 2017,, losing a loved one is really hard but losing your mom is a whole different type of hurr . The grieving doesn't stop,it is harder every day without her. And I'm 50 years old,, I tell a few people that I can't wait to die so I can see my mom again... I'm not gonna take my own life as I know I wouldn't see her again. So I'll wait til God's ready for me... I just hope it's soon
