I had a 97 Ford Ranger that I bought from a guy 2 years ago.
I was under the bed one day looking for corrosion. I was checking the leaf spring brackets, which are trouble spots for these trucks. But being a Florida truck, they were
very good condition. As I was putting my hand on it, there was something on top of the bracket that felt strange. I tugged on it a little and it came
off. It was one of those key holders with the key in it. I called the guy I had bought the truck from and asked if he had put it there. He had put it there within a week of buying the truck brand new. So it was there for about 25 years. 👍
Do you know the exact brand and model?
Aside from all the prototype testing, I enjoyed so much the ride with all the trees and open space.
You state is very beautiful 🙂
Thank you
#LockBoss
That's one clean video.😎
Glad you had good results with yours. Personally, I see too many on the side of the road every year to trust them. Thanks for the experiment though 🙂
LMAO at 6:01 i was looking at the scenery going " hmmm, i've seen this before..." and then the road sign came up! I live in spokane! LMAO!
Haha, nice!-PJ
never thought about this! lol
PJ is always trying to find a reason to leave the shop to go goof off 🤪🤘🤣#Lockboss but it fun to watch great info too. Thxs crew
🤣 any excuse to go through the car wash!-PJ
My extra car key is an electronic remote key. No magnets allowed, Right? and need to be kept dry. How do I handle this? Can anybody suggest anything?
Feel free to take a drive out to Michigan and check out some of our potholes and rail-road tracks....good chance Ur gonna lose some of those magnetic ones.....my $ is on the Velcro....only type i stock/sell.... lowest profile, works on plastic, aluminum and steel in any orientation
Marti- The velcro ones are good!
Velcro fails and so does the adhesive on the back. Duck tape the key to something.
@@basanistes359 Im sure "Duck"(Duct) tape would Fail also....as most adhesive tapes can/will...with Ozone/heat/elements etc...I inform ALL those who use the Velcro option to Check the Hide-A-Key 1-2 times / year!....as I myself have saw the Degradation of adhesive over time(2-3yrs). A couple of reasons for this: Depending on environmental/weather/heat scenarios, things tend to fail.....that said, checking its existence not only lets one check its Integrity, but reminds them of its Location.....as ive had Many tell me they cant remember Where they placed it!....as well, checking it 1-2x/year(during Oil Changes?) is a great way of checking its integrity/existence/and Remembrance of location!
@@martih7533 No it doesn't because I wrap the key around an object and even after excessive weather the damn thing is near impossible to get off. You are dead wrong and Velcro is a joke. You're asking to lose your key with that crap.
@@basanistes359 "even after excessive weather its still near impossible to get off".....Not what I'd think most people wld want to deal w in Rainy/Snowy conditions. I know what works for My customers and they hv had No complaints.....your circumstances may vary upon knowledge etc....good luck retrieving the "near impossible to get off" key hider......to each their own!....and No, I'm not dead wrong
Typo in the title - 'key hinders" should be "key hiders". Good video! #Lockboss
good test, but most people just stick them inside a fender well. #lockboss
Glade your hide a keys held up don't know if I would have trusted them that many times in a car wash my luck I would have lost them # lockboss
Haha, right-PJ
I seek Velcro ones #lockboss
You need to jump a couple of railroad tracks or do some bullit jumps
"hey guys were down on the ground getting a little dirty"....what kind of video is this
