Ha! Kirstie Knock-down-this-wall Allsopp...
😂
When was this filmed? 2010? No prices like that in those areas anymore in London
Possibly earlier.....she was taking photos for reference with a Polaroid! Pre iPhone! I think 2002.
@Ident man Yes agreed! I'd say around that time too. She'd be looking at over £500-600k for most of those places now *SOB*
Most of these shows were filmed late 90s early 2000s
It was filmed in late 2001
Madness, these flats would be £600,000 plus now.
Kirstie is awesome with her new hair cut
You do realize that this is early 2000’s?
2009
@@bellablow4287 This was filmed at the turn of the century (around 2000 / 01).
Still true because Kirstie is always awesome. ❤
Why would anyone ever buy leasehold who knows.
Why do you think? Only leasehold is possible for most buyers in London and other expensive locations. So you either have to move away from your friends, family, job etc or compromise with leasehold which is still better than flushing rent money down the toilet. Plus most people have done very well out of them - nearly all leaseholds have gone up in value over the last 5 / 10 / 20 years in London.
what price do you think freehold houses start, in London? I'll give you a clue...it's 7 figures
To this American viewer the idea of a leasehold sounds like madness. What if the lease is up in 10 years? Are leaseholder / freeholder disputes common? Are rowhouses generally leaseholds or freeholds?
I will fully acknowledge that my experience in a condominium here in the states was less than ideal. What started out with a wonderful neighbors ended up being a bunch of cranky cantankerous complaining folks. I managed to sell and get a single-family house, sorry detached!
When you think about it, USA houses are not really owned outright. If you don't pay the property taxes, out you go. And with 40-50 year mortgages and second or equity mortgages, how many people pay them off before they die?
my bro bought a 3 bedroom flat in london for £525k 2 yrs ago
Londoners ! 🇬🇧♥️
That should be a single family home.
Not in London, lol.
⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🤗
Kirstie do you have any idea how boring you sound flat after flat all you can talk about is knocking down walls. I for one do not like the all in one model of living that you are promoting. Who wants their whole flat to smell of whatever you are cooking? or having to have an impecable kitchen because it is always on show. DOes it ever occur to you that whilst I am cooking I am in my little happy world of my own and have no interest in having to listen to the News or Football, because my better half wants to? Stop telling people how they should live and let them make up their own minds
She sure is quick to spend other people’s money ... mid this wall led here, move the bathroom and plumbing over here and make the old bathroom the dining room...... at what cost when they are a,ready odd budget???? Makes no sense.
It's called investment.
It's not as if she's twisting anyone's arm.
She is thinking of adding livability and value when sold. Sound advice.
She realizes from experience that many people have no vision about possible changes or adding value, and as Phil says, the cost of making changes hasn't risen as fast as the cost of buying. It's always cheaper to buy a doer-upper than a done-up- already, but many people reject a property because of paint color or carpet because they can't imagine the place with different paint or carpet. She's telling people all their options. That's not domineering (since the people don't even own the flat). It's informing them to make them smarter shoppers and get better value.
Those older buildings are beautiful but I wouldn’t want a house I can’t change. I’ll take a newer house.
I bet this video is more that 4 years old. Why, the buyer is using a Polaroid camera!
Try over 20 years old lol
Interesting look she chose for her one and only time on t.v.
What a cunty thing to say
@@bellablow4287 Right on bellatui....
It was filmed in 2009 love, I don’t think you were looking your best back then.
@@glitter4ever10 Well before then, I think.
This was filmed years ago, Phil still had hair!
Poor Englanders. Imagine spending that much money on leasehold bullshit and not even owning your property.
