Shimano FX1000FC An In-depth Look Shimano's Budget Ultralight Spinning Reel Thoughts and Disassembly

I picked up the new Shimano FX1000FC to see what their newest addition to their lower end ultralight spinning reels product line is like. In this video I will talk about what I like and dislike about the reel. I will also be doing a disassembly of the reel so we can take a good look at the mechanical parts of the reel. I start off by taking a quick look at other cheap Shimano reels. Shimano has a history of making good reliable budget friendly reels in the lower end of their product line. If you are looking at the newer Sienna 1000 (SN1000FG) sized reels, this one is very similar...in fact they are the same mechanically except for one extra ball bearing in the Sienna. If that one extra ball bearing on the main drive gear is worth the extra $10-$15 to you, then go with the Sienna. If you are looking for a good reel that retails for $19.99, you should take a look at this newer version of the FX1000. If you can deal with the 2 problems I have with it mentioned in the video, you will be happy with your purchase.
