- I purchased the ROCKFORM G-ROK to use when I golf. One day out on the course was all I needed to know that for $100, this probably isn't the best quality sounding speaker on the market. Very directional sound, not loud, no bottom end. I would recommend going with a JBL or BOSE for the extra $50. If you want something for around the house, this isn't the worse option, especially for inside use. If you are looking for something that will be heard while on the fairway and your golf cart is on the golf path, not this speaker.

Good review! I was considering this speaker because of the magnet but doesn't seem worth it. I would check out the UE Boom or Wonderboom as an alternative. No magnet but very durable and can be used pretty much anywhere.

Y would you want your music blasting loud as fuck while you're playing golf?? You only need it while driving the Cart haha. Only terrible golfers listen to loud music on the course. This speaker is awesome for what it is.
Here's the thing about this and other golf speakers. They are specifically designed to direct sound in a single direction so as not to disrupt other players. Otherwise, you could bring a Bose Bluetooth speaker and bother everyone.

I disagree. I have to point the speaker away from inside the cart because it’s so loud. It’s so great I bought a second one to pair and they are the loudest speakers on the course.
It's a speaker. Play the fucking thing and let us judge the sound.
Judge the sound of the speaker through a phone recording to whatever sound you are using isn't really a good measurement of how it actually sounds live - hence my objective opinion.
