On the remote, I'm pretty sure the intent is to press down on the remote for the indent, and not pry the remote out. That's why the have the indent as well as the indent in the bottom of the speaker under the remote, to allow the remote to pop up when pressed on that side and then it just slides out of the unit!
yep thats how it works, took me a little time of playing with it to figure it out, but works perfectly when you press down on the indent between the 2 orange buttons.
To mitigate the screen issue you mentioned - mount the speaker on the top front rail of the cart (above your head in front of you). This will give perfect screen clarity and sound for the entire cart it’s the perfect spot.
Appreciate the review. I am walking more now since I bought the Alphard V2 and converted my Clic Gear 3.5 plus cart to accommodate this new technology. I do have a laser and do enjoy having music while I am walking. What I liked about this is I can have music and have yardages to the front, middle and back of the green. Critical for my level of play. I am a scratch golfer. I use the laser for pinpoint yardages but I want those additional yardages to select clubs better. The review here was more his preferences but I think it was designed for overall golf specific features, which on the surface, it appears it does. I just got mine and I will provide an update. Was just going to buy the phantom 2 for those front, middle and back yardages buy why not get the speaker too! It was only $40 more as I got the unit for $169 at Dicks on sale. I agree, having an additional attachment system for walkers was not a good idea. How difficult would it have been to include one? Overall it looks to be well designed for what I am looking for.
If you want to see the screen when you are in a cart, simply place it on the metal windscreen piece near the roof. It is just like getting GPS from A course owned system. I love mine.
Might I suggest a StickIt magnetic landing pad? It is a large surface that you can put anything magnetic. I use it for towel, GPS and the speaker. Works well (you can even have 2 landing surfaces on each edge of your bag).
Shan great vid , i played all 11 championship courses including the par 3 in which i got pretty lucky to play that once. (played most of the 11 courses alot of times over an 18 months period. ) TOP Courses - 5. Els Course 4. Leadbetter Course 3. Norman Course 2. Ozaki Course 1. Olazabal Course
if you're mounting on the passenger side, mouth it upside down. it has a gyro so will flip the display and will be pointed toward the inside of the cart.
Sean - On the first gen, if you push down on one side of the remote it pops up (the side with the indent). I’m guessing on the new gen the remote doesn’t do that?
Is the magnet better than the old one ? When going over a bumpy are, my old Wingman would fall off, that’s how I lost the remote. I could fit the old one in a cupholder, the new one will not fit in one.
Purchased this about 2 weeks ago, Have already had to replace the battery in the remote twice.. So far I'm not a fan because of that but overall its a cool little gadget to get yardage
I got one for Christmas. I HATE it! Now I need my phone to play music and park over my golf ball to get the yardage or park and carry this huge thing then put it back. So cumbersome. Just give me a number on a screen and a USB port for music.....jeez, is it really that hard? I went and a got a Phantom...another $100.
You can flip the speaker ups ride down and turn it to position the screen on the left or right side. The remote is “too secure”!?!? Bahah. This speaker sounds too good. I hate it.
I keep wanting to listen to your reviews. BUT, you are way to wordie. I look for people to show what the item does how it works not to go on and on then repeat old data. Just a thought.

I thought the same thing about the remote when I originally got this but realized it’s infinitely easier to press down on the indent to get it out.
Can you sync a wingman view with a wingman mini for surround?

The new gen remote does the same thing. I push down on the side with the indent and the remote pops right out instead of trying to pry it out.
Is the magnet better than the old one ? When going over a bumpy are, my old Wingman would fall off, that’s how I lost the remote. I could fit the old one in a cupholder, the new one will not fit in one.
Do you have the wingman mini? Wondering how’s the sound quality. The Wingman is to big for my golf bag
Facts. I left mine the very 1st time... we were havin too much fun
Do you have to have the app to see the front back middle distances? On the phantom you don't so i was curious.
I have the clip 3 and it’s awesome
Purchased this about 2 weeks ago, Have already had to replace the battery in the remote twice.. So far I'm not a fan because of that but overall its a cool little gadget to get yardage
If you buy this, Do i also have to buy the app to or is that free?
God, I miss my original Yardage Pro. Just bring that back and everybody's happy.
The yardage is base off your phones location, right? Or does this have the functionality to take the fob location for yardage?
Great question... Dont see a reply. Anybody know the answer to this?
It’s based off your phone. From Bushnell app
I posted this a while ago, but can confirm it’s phone based. Ended up super gluing the fob to the top of the speaker.
Great review.
I have the first gen speaker and believe it or not, I never use it. I never remember to stick it in my bag .
Having the screen makes everything much easier
I use the original wingman. Never use the gps function, but love the magnet speaker 🤣
Idk mine ain’t that loud. I figured they would be louder
Someone has pumped their head early this morning!! Fire DVH???? lololol
Push Down on the remote - Very Easy

Wait until it quits working at all, and you try to get Bushnell customer support. You have a new paperweight!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
