talking of shipping are you going to ship your rub outside of the US or allow it's sale on platforms like amazon so the rest of us non US citizens can try it?
He's right though, Da Bomb tastes like liquid pennies. There are plenty of sauces that are both hot and have flavor, Da Bomb isn't one of them. They went all in on the heat and forgot to add the flavor.
Guga made rib meat lollipops recently. What was his side dish? The exact same thing but rolled up with cheese with a sauce! His side dish was an amped up version of the main course 😂
Gotta admit Guga experimenting with spicy food makes for some of his best episodes. Big dude’s crazy, but he does inspire creativity from his equally-crazy subscribers. With that said, I made an entire playlist of these for those new viewers for this reason. Enjoy. 🙂
They also have Da Bomb Ground Zero, which is claims to be hotter than Da Bomb Insanity. They have added jerk seasoning and pineapple juice to the sauce. Might want to give it a go on the next spice challenge prank.
I have not but I have ordered it for the same reason you just mentioned@@SimuLord I am wondering if the substitution of the pineapple juice with the orange juice changes the flavor.
The Buldak sauce really only amps up their noodles. Still pretty subpar on actual flavor its just hot red oil. Plus it gets everywhere and stains everything. There are much better choices out there for heat, starting with a gochujang paste, and definitely for flavor oil. Whenever I make the noodle packs I'll use the included oil, but I also pour in a bunch of chicken bouillon powder, then you actually get some of the "hot chicken" flavor they're going for. I think the next time I make a heat oil I'll try some ground chiltepin.
Perhaps Angel and Leo will book Guga’s appearance on _Hot Ones_ with Sean Evans in the foreseeable future. They’ll be there themselves, and they’re gonna die of laughter once Guga eats the eighth chicken wing (Da Bomb) and starts losing his sh*t. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I only heard of buldak sauce in a bottle. I know of them as a ramen noodle company. Their noodles are incredibly spicy but oh so dang yummy. Their creamy carbonara is perhaps the best ramen noodle packet ever.
I love the fact that Guga made both an appetizer AND a side-dish that's basically a main dish to kind of cover for the fact that most of the steaks will likely not be very edible.
The best thing about da bomb is all spice no flavor! I have used it to add spice to homemade bbq sauce and it works great. Just a drop or two adds a nice level of spice to recipes.
I bought a bottle of ghost pepper sauce and the only thing it's good for is adding extra heat to mellow but flavorful sauces. On its own it's just pain in a bottle.
duuuuude. try Blair's Mega Death sauce. it's half a million Scoville units, but it has an amazing taste. or try After Death if you're not up to that one. this is "only" 50k Scoville units and has almost the same taste
"it's not made to taste good. It's made to be spicy" Exactly. I never understand why people are expecting it to taste even decent. Making something that hot taste good is the challenge and most people looking for that kind of heat want punishment or high, not flavor.
Hi Guga ! You always use garlic powder to season your steak, but I was wondering if it would not be better to use other garlic seasoning like fresh garlic, garlic paste or some kind of garlic compound better ? Would you make a video about testing different kind of garlic seasoning to find out the best way to use garlic with steak ? Love you
Hey Guga! This may sound outlandish but it would be awesome if you could make a video collabing with Ed Currie who bred the Carolina Reaper. It would be awesome for you guys to collaborate on a spicy but tasty meal or have him show you the ropes with peppers!
I love spicy food. I make my own hot sauces. But when you start dabbling into the extracts, then it loses everything. My current favorite hot sauce is a Carolina Reaper. It is a dangerous red-yellow. It is hot, and tastes amazing.
Guga: I would love to see a preview of projects video. I mean you come every week with some amazing stuff and some of them 'well I did a 40 day dry aged with kambucha' and here it is. which you do this every week! I think us fans and viewers would love to see inside your fridge and dry ager a whole show about what you have on tap for later on when they are ready. You must have superior time management since we have video of you doing 'ok i let this sit for 6 months in MSG lets see how it goes'. So us viewers know you have how many strange things waiting ? Let us see how your process works a little bit .. that 2 year old pickle brined hallibut must be ready! thanks so much enjoy your cooking -- a background show would totally rock -z from Langlois
"This one (side dish) is so good it can almost be a main dish." *watches Guga prepare his main (side) dish* Till today, Guga's idea of a side dish is always a main dish. I swear if we ask Guga for an actual main dish that isn't steak, the man will literally make a Michelin star worthy course.
They are spot on with da bomb...because of the pepper extract in it the taste it produces is always very strong and very off putting, and this goes with every extract regardless of the company. Guga, try Reaper Squeezins and Gator sauce...both made with reaper and pepper x from the man Ed Curry himself. Very warm sauces but the flavor is amazing everybody. First has a more fruity spice and the second very earthy...think the gator one would be better on a steak to be honest.
I wish Guga would look for sauces that are as spicy as Bomb but actually tasty, there are delish reaper sauces out there, and hoping to find a good pepper x sauce soon
I use Da Bomb when making slow cooker chili as it does not offset the flavor when using very little of it but adds enough spice for my wimpy friends. Let the Spice flow!
Guga out here making the a bomb hispanic spanish paella inspired fusion dish using argentinian chorizo and peruvian ají amarillo. Something I definitely wanna try doing.
The other day we made steak fingers from ribeye steak. Man my life changed the moment I chewed into the first bite. Why this isn't the most popular steak I don't know.
10:01 You can say this is an edible torture device and I'd believe you, otherwise why else would they not add even the slightest bit of flavour to it,you literally have to be a hot sauce sadist to enjoy Da Bomb
As a Valencian I appreciate that you call it “rice” and not “paella”. Just because is made in a paella pan it has to be called paella, you can cook many rice dishes with that pan. But paella is only one 😘.
Da Bomb is not meant to be used like a normal hot sauce. It is actually a extract. Its mainly used by dropping a few drops into a pot of chili or something to spice it up. It's surely not used for flavor lol.
One time me and a group of friends were doing a spoof on hot ones and we got this sauce. The setup took too long and in the middle of the interview with a cabin full of 30 people we microwaved up the wings that had Da'Bomb on it. We had to clear out because it pepper sprayed everyone in the building.
Hey guga, i have this idea. What about making a sous vide steak with charcoal grill. To make it try to "cold smoke" the steak, instead of using wood chips u can use a hot charcoal and pour some of wagyu tallow to the charcoal to create the smoke just like charcoal grill steak (i get this idea by indian or middle eastern cooking for biryani, they use hot charcoal and ghee to create a smoke to smoking the chicken or the rice) maybe by this way u can get the juiciness of sous vide and the taste of charcoal(?) It would be great
The samyangs buldak sauce comes in regular, 2x hot and Carbonara flavor. I recommend the carbonara for you guga. it's not as hot with a great taste. The noodles also have a 3x hot flavor that Im still trying to get my hands on.
Was lucky enough to pick it up in a speciality shop in my town, it's quite literally the same as the 2x but a bit more peppery and with a steep increase in heat, atleast for me. Still tastes really good tho
I got a chance to buy a 3x one and I do agree, it's the same as 2x but hotter. The interesting thing though is that I actually ate around 2/3 of the pack compared to when I did only one bite with 2x way back. I actually tried Matpat's food theory experiment where I had my nose plugged and the spice actually went away. The only thing that repulsed me was the "chemically bitter" aspect of spicy flavor. Other than that, it was barely warm that I even had the urge to slurp the noodles.
So glad I read this, I just picked up a multi pack of the Carbonara noodles and wondered what I might be doing to myself. :D The one Guga used is the same that comes in the packets with the spicy noodles is it not? If so, add some to your choice of mayo product for a nice condiment. The fat from the mayo really helps tone down the heat level. But it does not get rid of it.
I'm a bit disappointed Guga didn't try the Da Bomb steak. One of the important rules to experimental cooking is that something you feed to someone else you need to try yourself.
Guga try get your hands on some Grace Jamaican Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce. Very flavorful with a nice spicy kick. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the bag because that never seems to work, i recommend dipping.
Try a sauce called “ the cauterizer”, guga. It’s hot don’t get me wrong. But it has hints of apricot blueberries carrots and honey Ingredients: Trinidad scorpion peppers, cider vinegar, apricot preserves, water, blueberries, carrots, honey, onion, soy sauce, sea salt, garlic, ginger, white pepper. DA BOMB is clickbait. It's intolerable every time and no flavor. Let's see more innovative ideas, I know you have them
"It doesn't taste good, it doesn't smell good and today we're going to use it to cook our steaks". Guga. Gotta love his candidness and enthusiasm.
must be another Hot Ones collaboration coming up to make a new sauce to replace Da Bomb
They'll probably just call it The Guga
He's right though, Da Bomb tastes like liquid pennies. There are plenty of sauces that are both hot and have flavor, Da Bomb isn't one of them. They went all in on the heat and forgot to add the flavor.
Candor*
I love how guga makes a whole main dish and calls it a side dish
When you eat da bomb steaks you'll need a whole other dish to actually eat lol
When you have steak on the table, anything else, even a full thanksgiving dinner, automatically becomes a side dish.
And how he says it's super easy to make, but requires a smoker and a specific pan
Guga made rib meat lollipops recently. What was his side dish? The exact same thing but rolled up with cheese with a sauce! His side dish was an amped up version of the main course 😂
No kidding, this one is a whole one-skillet meal!
Gotta admit Guga experimenting with spicy food makes for some of his best episodes. Big dude’s crazy, but he does inspire creativity from his equally-crazy subscribers.

I don’t like Angel’s commentaries so much - but here he has just NAILED IT SO HARD 😄😄
I love the spicy videos!! I could watch them all day. Love Guga and the crew so much
Kinda surprised to see Da Bomb again, considering how often you've used it already, and every single time, you all agree that it tastes awful.
Considering he used two sauces, it kinda makes sense. Da Bomb is, if nothing else, iconic. It makes a good “ultra hot control” so to speak.
It's for comedy.
It's probably cause those videos do really well cause it's known to be super hot etc.
Not going to lie, I'm tired of seeing Da Bomb.
Guga should use all 10 sauces from @hotones on steaks
Guga's side dish is more filling than a main course lmao
The Buldak sauce really only amps up their noodles. Still pretty subpar on actual flavor its just hot red oil. Plus it gets everywhere and stains everything. There are much better choices out there for heat, starting with a gochujang paste, and definitely for flavor oil. I think the next time I make a heat oil I'll try some ground chiltepin.
I agree, I'd like to see Guga use some mega spicy ingredients that actually taste good, they are out there plus Da'Bomb is getting kind of old.

Leo never gets tired of describing a control steak
duuuuude. try Blair's Mega Death sauce. it's half a million Scoville units, but it has an amazing taste. or try After Death if you're not up to that one. this is "only" 50k Scoville units and has almost the same taste
Buldak + Korean fried chicken = chefs kiss
"it's not made to taste good. It's made to be spicy"
Exactly. I never understand why people are expecting it to taste even decent. Making something that hot taste good is the challenge and most people looking for that kind of heat want punishment or high, not flavor.
Hi Guga !
You always use garlic powder to season your steak, but I was wondering if it would not be

Would you make a video about testing different kind of garlic seasoning to find out the best

He tested that in the early days of this channel, but it deserves a revisit.
Yes, there’s a video and it’s great!
Its crazy how that hot sauce has gotta be one of the most popular in the world and ive never heard a single person say a good word about it
I love the progress from being fcked up by spicy stuff to absolutely being chill with it.
Hey Guga! This may sound outlandish but it would be awesome if you could make a video collabing with Ed Currie who bred the Carolina Reaper. It would be awesome for you guys to collaborate on a spicy but tasty meal or have him show you the ropes with peppers!

I know, hot needs to be paired with tasty otherwise its just pepper spray for the mouth. BTW any good pepper x sauces out there yet?
@@nicholaschisholm7018 THE LAST DAB XXX is made with Pepper X
Have your editors prepare some of the items from your book to demonstrate how easy it is to make them
For me, Buldak sauce should be put on top. I think cooking with it doesn't work as well. It's absolutely delicious on just about anything ^^
You should try the Pepper X sauce in one of your experiments. Just be very cautious, extremely hot! It has the world record for the most heat.
Get Guga on Hot Ones asap
I love how you used buldak. It has been my favorite spicy sauce/ramen for years and it's SO delicious.

Angel would make the very Luigi Mario on the next Mario brothers movie! Come to think of it, Guga would make the perfect Mario!
I have done the hot ones challenge. everything they have said about da bomb is accurate….from experience, just go straight to the last dab.
Não sei como Casemiro nem nenhum streamer BR não reagiu ao guga!! Aprendendo diariamente!!!!
Guga, when will you learn... Those boys will always escalate the spice wars!
Gotta have Smokin' Ed Currie on an episode and cook with some Pepper X.
Lmao, man I love these spicy food wars. I want to try making the "side" dish too
"This one (side dish) is so good it can almost be a main dish."
*watches Guga prepare his main (side) dish*
Till today, Guga's idea of a side dish is always a main dish. I swear if we ask Guga for an actual main dish that isn't steak, the man will literally make a Michelin star worthy course.
That line reminds me of Jamie oliver
I know you guys love steak but you should try a poultry meat challenge, like chicken Vs Duck Vs Pigeon or something
The makers of Da'Bomb must be laughing all the way to the bank. The created a truly nasty hot sauce that has become legendary.
Guga concoct a weapon of mass destruction
Also Guga:"But it gave me enough time to make a nice side dish"
My mouth is watering, including the potential revenge coming from another Angel and Leo segment in the works.
This is the most Meta Guga episode yet. They pointed out both the discrepancies in “Super easy side dish” as well as Guga’s awful poker face
I wish Guga would look for sauces that are as spicy as Bomb but actually tasty, there are delish reaper sauces out there, and hoping to find a good pepper x sauce soon

Most of his side dishes are fairly simple to make, he rarely uses any super difficult techniques
Mix your rub in with the cheese filling mix and the poppers just get better.
Guga try get your hands on some Grace Jamaican Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce. Very flavorful with a nice spicy kick. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the bag because that never seems to work, i recommend dipping.
