I can't express how nice it was that you got right into the topic without plugging sponsors and a bunch of chatter. The please subscribe at the end was enough for me. New sub!
Hey nice to see you too! I think I'll always prefer the 4 inch look personally, but I definitely appreciate seeing the MUCH harder work for you brave reel guys! Cheers bro!
I just bought a motorless reel mower and didn't like the advice to use WD40 on it. I knew that couldn't possibly be good for the lawn! So I searched and found you! Thanks for the advice! Amazon's on their way!
Great video again George. I just got my reel mower sharpened and the guy said 3-in-1 is good to use for regular maintenance. I had never heard of that. What’s your thoughts on this? Def not natural like your suggestion
Thanks Brandon! appreciate that boss. 3 in 1 is my go to for all maintenance besides the reel itself, it would work for the actual reel im just paranoid about putting solvents on the lawn
Me either! I’ve been down the rabbit hole of rust proofing lately and through me research wd40 contains petroleum which will kill grass. You can also use Teflon and silicone to lube your reels but they are more expensive alternatives. Thanks for watching Ben!
Izzy! whats up my friend! I have a golf coarse mechanic who services mine, he works at the oak brook country club, i can connect you with him if youd like. Email me at princesscutlawn@gmail.com
I just bought some fluid film to lube the chains on my C27. So it can also be used to wipe down all the red painted areas, as well as the engine? I was worried it may attract a bunch of dirt and gunk it all up…
@@PrincessCutLawnCare any reason why not? Some of their marketing material shows it being used on chains and it’s been recommended by a bunch of folks for use on reel mower chains.
No problem Morten, yes wd40 contains solvents that will harm your grass when the bedknife and reel contact it, some other options to lube it are cooking spray and silicone spray but I find fluid film works the best, thanks for watching 😊
@@PrincessCutLawnCare i agree I want one but my lawn is only 3k total if that lol I found a 14 blade but that is too much for a residential lawn right?
@@alceja3522 when you say "total" do you mean the potential reel mowed area is 3k sqft? also, yes 14 blade is way too much for a home lawn, it will bog down on grass higher than .25in and thats a greens blade

Nice tip with the natural lube George. Glad you found the answer for protecting mower without sacrificing lawn!
Jeff D! Nice to see you bro 😎 and thanks! This is the best solution to prevent rust! Did you get a reel mower yet?

Age is just a number my friend, this thing is crispy!
I can't believe that mower is 31 years old. It looks super great!!
Thanks Kyle! Toro makes these things to be used daily of golf coarses so that last forever!

🌞George!! Great video, man! That Fluid Film is great stuff! 🎄
Thanks sunny! What do you use on you allet?
Princess Cut Lawn Care - I use the Fluid Film and WD-40 makes a mineral oil based dry spray I’ve used before. Both worked great.
That seal and shine let’s me know that you’re into car detailing as well and you know your stuff!! Earned a sub!
Oh yes my friend - detailing is my “other” hobby. Not usually a fan of turtle wax but they did a good job w the seal n shine. Love that stuff:)
Btw thanks for the sub!
Thanks George, great tips:). Cheers pal
No problem JP thanks for tunin in!
Looks great, especially for being 31,
Wasn’t always like that but a little TLC goes a long way! Thanks for watching papa!

I wish my mower was that clean! Great tips 👍🏻 I did not realize wd40 could harm the grass. Guess I need to pick up some of that stuff

Good info man.
Thanks Brian ! What kind of reel you using?!
Starter Mclane 20" .... I'll see how it goes and then maybe join the big boys like you with a greens reel
Looking forward to allet review

I'm late to the party...thanks for the tip bro...picking some up later.!!!
Whats up dude long time no talk!
Does the grass stick to the reel after spraying it?
Hey George great video buddy. Where do you get the reel sharpen? I need someone closer to me to work on mine
Also what is the higher setting for the cutting unit?

@@Izzydromendez this unit is .50 inchs but i can squeeze it up to .60 if i try
Any issues spraying this while the mower is sitting on concrete? I’d hate to leave a mark in my driveway.

i wouldnt use it to lube the chains, only the reel. use chain lube for the chains

Why did u get rid of your toro?!
