Hi Aaliyah. First, thx again for the second great reaction today. Maybe a little context. Mulholland Drive is a great movie by David Lynch, even one of my all-time favourites. Just a little "warning" in case you want to watch it, it's a really weird and surreal movie, probably not for everyone. You need to be able to sit back and enjoy a wild ride.
Another interesting thing about this song is, that it's originally written and performed by Roy Orbison. And he is a stunning singer himself. Maybe I will add one of his songs to the next pool. Well worth a reaction.
Wow. Had not realized it's a Roy Orbison Song.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share🌺
This is a Spanish-language version of “Crying” originally by Roy Orbison. Unfortunately I don’t speak Españyol, though I would like to. As quite a few people in the complex where I live are Spanish-speaking. The movie this is from was directed by David Lynch, one of my favorite filmmakers. He also used singer Julee Cruise for nightclub scenes in the TV series “Twin Peaks”. Only want to mention his work is incredibly offbeat and super-surreal, though also brilliant at times. It can go into very weird territory, and he is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. But I greatly admire a capella singing. As long as my own vocal journey has been, and as much as I’ve grown on it, I would find it challenging to sing with no backing music, to help me with the key and pitch.
Another thing about David Lynch worth mentioning is his use of music and sound-design in general. He is not only a film-maker, but also a painter and musician himself. Plus he almost always works with Angelo Bandalamenti, who is a great and unique film-composer. His atmospheric scores matches Lynchs visuals perfectly. A match made in heaven. Like Hitchcock and Bernard Herrmann or Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone.
All of those are valid points. The only unfortunate thing to me is that Angelo has sadly passed away. But I still enjoy the many pieces he composed for Lynch.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share🥰🥰🥰

Please react to Maria Fiselier - Il mondo. A song that, for some reason, no one has noticed.
Love that song. I had only heard Il Volo sing "Il Mondo." Went and listened to Maria Fiselier sing it, and she was great.
Thanks for the recommendation
Maybe you could react to “Falling” by Julie Cruise. It’s from a David Lynch directed tv series called Twin Peaks.
Thanks for the recommendation
React to Motley Crue song Home sweet home
Thanks for sharing
the spanish k.d lang
K.D. Lang has no voice in comparison. That aside, it's a Roy Orbison song.
😊
