I had no problem with the idea of a pantheon of the Gods over which God presided. Not news to me. But, I am hearing a fuller development of these ideas, which lead me to some questions, like: 1) Was part of the motivation of Satan jealousy of humans? 2) Were the actions of the gods in Genesis 6 an attempt to corrupt humans so they were not suitable for God's plan? 3) Was the tower of Babel incident yet another attempt by the gods to wreck the plan? It seems to me that when the gods heard God's plan to create humans and to have relationship with humans, that the gods heard they were to be supplanted, replaced and to become second-class. After all, we humans were to be granted a spiritual connection with God that the gods never enjoyed.
So another teacher is Doug Hamp. He is a scholar like Heiser. Fluent in many languages. Hebrew. Greek. Spanish. Anyways. He develops all of these subjects deeply. I think between these 2 guys.. You'd get these questions answered...and more.

Who is at the top of the fallen world, Satan, or some other elohim like Abadon?
Satan was the first to fall and any other fallen being falls under the first father of rebellion, the father of lies. No matter ranking satan was the first and is the head of breathing this rebellion into existence

Interpreting Scripture through it’s ANE context is utter nonsense. But interpreting ancient literature through the English dictionary and a modern (2.5 millennia later) religious construct is A-Ok.

TO YOU" and then quoted a verse older that 1000 yo.
