I love this idea!! I have a feeling that this would help me a lot because I need and/or feel more comfortable in those more "practical" things but I struggle to find cute or classy ones.
I've come to realize I actually love fall... you can have so much more range in your fashion, the leaves make driving anywhere gorgeous, the crisp air, buying produce when it's the freshest and most delicious, enjoying a warm tea, hot chocolate or Starbucks drink, lighting a candle while reading a book and all the fun Halloween movies... but Christmas is still my fave lol

In your care box you might want to add needle and thread in your neutral colors, dressmaker tape, safety pins and a good shoe brush. I definitely agree with the other items that you mentioned. When you buy quality products you want to take care of them.
I'd also add crochet hook to fix pulled threads on sweaters. But sewing kit with threads that match wardrobe color palette is definitely a must have!
I find black sheer tights to be classic and white tights to look somewhat “ granny like” white tights makes people look old🤔

White tights are quite unflattering actually. They look great on Freddy and Blair Waldorf, but I personally feel like I’m in ballet class (I used to hate them and cover them with skirts or use black ones whenever my conservatory teachers allowed us to get out of our uniform/dresscode) and I feel they make my thighs and calves look huge

I am honestly surprised that Freddy finds umbrellas ugly most of the time. I inherited my grandmother’s umbrella collection with a bunch of beautiful, chic, and detailed umbrellas. I would suggest searching for vintage inspired ones over the collapsible ones if you’re going somewhere where you can afford to put a chic outfit over convenience.

My mum has an amazing umbrella collection too, she matches them with her outfit whenever it rains and she looks so stylish. She actually always buys new ones when she goes to London because there are some amazing umbrella stores there, very old and “handcrafty” shops that have real umbrella gems haha

Don't get me wrong, I also have a wardrobe where black would just clash with most of my outfits, but for most people, black tights are the perfect finishing touch for their look.

I am also old enough to be your mother but I still tune in from time to time ( really enjoyed your apartment reno videos). I also like when you and Josie hang out 😁. Anyway...the content was informative and useful and refreshing to see that side of your personality.
To be honest, there are just some clothing items where my father's saying "We cannot afford cheap" really holds true, because if you buy cheaper tights, wool items (coats or jumpers) or shoes you will throw them out much quicker and then end up spending much more on these items in the long run....

I just want ladies to know that you do not need to wear a luxury brand in order to look stylish. Any pair of well made and taken care of clothes will make you look put together. My work wardrobe leans toward darker colours, I have grown a fondness of navy and or gray tights. I also personally agree with Freddy, that a good quality pair of tights makes the world a difference to an outfit.
The curated care box is super important. I enjoy wearing leather handbags/tote, belts, shoes and boots, thus I take the time to apply the appropriate treatment before I wear it.
22:14 besides cashmere, here in Peru you can get alpaca wool knitwear as well, it's super lightweight as well and you never get cold with it. It's super expensive though!
I was so embarrassed of my feminine side two years ago because at high school some people are just mean and girly stuff is like "a must laugh at". However, last year during lockdown I discovered your channel and completely changed my wardrobe into what i actually like which is all pink as well hahahaha. I stopped dressing for others and started dressing for myself and I also feel much more comfortable because I started going to fashion school, I'm majoring in fashion design so I'm definitely allowed to dress cute xD

My clear domed umbrella is 100% one of my favorite practical items. If I have to have an umbrella that is the one I want. I also have a very chic raincoat, to throw over every thing. I agree about turtlenecks! They instantly make a look more sophisticated. They are timeless.

Hahaha Fall is my absolute favorite season. I LOVE the rain, the chilly days, dresses with tights, pumpkin everything, Halloween, apple everything, snuggly sweaters and coats, and I hate turtlenecks, scarves, berets, and over the knee boats. To each her own 😂

My mum bought those like camel/dark beige zara trousers you mentioned and she loves them! She’s a size 12 and she’s very conscious of wearing tight jeggings but she said they slimmed her down and made her look amazing so I’d say deffo worth a buy!

Lol at when you despise the rain. I actually grew up in the Sonoran desert in Arizona where there is very little rain. Rain is something to look forward to as a rare treat. It offers a rare time of refreshment and with rain comes a sky newly washed of pollution. Yes to rain. But in London I guess it rains all the time and it makes for ruined hair and ruined shoes. I think Freddy you could try to do a raincoat and wellington type rainboots that are fitted and stylish and flattering rather than making you look like Paddington Bear. Although nothing against how paddington bear looks,, paddington bear was a great book that I read in the US when I was 8 years old lol.

A reason why you should wash your new clothes before you wear them is also because of a chemical product that is present in new clothes. Some textiles, in order to give them a certain aspect, have some sort of primer coat (“apprêt” in french) that is applied at the very end of its transformation to give the textile its final aspect. If you wear your piece of clothing without washing, there might be a remainder of this chemical product that will directly be in contact with your skin, and you might react to it. On top of that, the chemical residue might mean that if you stain your clothing, it might actually be harder to clean up than if it had been washed before.
Always be careful when buying new clothes !
Adding more info (sorry if I’m boring but my engineering school classes about textiles are coming in handy for once)
This coat is sometimes used for certain properties, typically to stop the clothing from getting wrinkly too quickly (which would not be practical when you have clients trying clothes, or when you are sending clothing by mail), giving the clothing a shinier aspect, any reason you can think of, you name it !

I have a steamer too,but another way is to put the item on high in the dryer with a small wet towel for a few minutes and take out before dryer stops. Voila no creases

I totally agree on the umbrellas. I've been coordinating my brollies with my outfits for years now, and dome umbrellas are classic 1960's chic. The more retro the style, the better. Frankly, I'd describe myself as a brolly dolly! ☔️☔️☔️
