Seems like most companies' skirts and dresses are sooo short nowadays, anyone else who likes the look of some of the designs but wouldn't feel comfortable wearing something that barely covers your bum? :( It's either maxi dresses (which isn't really my style) or super short stuff, there's no inbetween - 40s/50s style it is then.
totally agree! i see people on instagram wearing those super short skirts and the only thing i can think is "how do you walk/sit/live through the day wearing something that short???
PaulieSings i opt for a midi skirt, they're not too long, but not short at all! they also come in TONS of shapes, styles, colours and patterns!

Heidi Goatgirl Oh yeah, that's a nice trick 😊 I personally don't like to wear shorts underneath cause my country is very hot so it kinda defeats the purpose of the skirt hahaha so I end up going with some longer skirts
But if these items are terrible quality and extremely cheap, imagine how little the company pays their workers...
Yikes! Watched a video on this last week and Fashinnova pay below minimum wage, workers are paid per sleeve, neckline, hem etc equating to $200/week

It saddens me that you felt like you had to apologize for being honest. I personally LOVE when you tell the whole truth. You do not come off as a snob at all. People watch you because they love your style and they know you´re going to be honest. If someone doesn´t care if a fabric feels scratchy or like tissue paper they can still choose to buy it at least you gave your opinion on it haha. If anything thank you.
Right? I appreciate the honesty, not many youtubers will be so careful about the quality of products they recommend to people.
in fact im thankful for her honesty because it saves us viewers from buying horrible quality items that we either return with shipping money wasted or throw the items in a corner of your room and never wear 😅

Just FYI, fashion nova tends to photoshop their models like crazy! So you're still right that the only people who have crazy hour glass shapes are cartoons and people who have had surgery done
EDIT: hour glass bodies do exist, but if you think that fashion nova shows real bodies, I feel bad for you. They look like playdough aliens sculpted in photoshop LMAOOOO!
Their models actually just have intense surgery. One of them is named Jodie and she looks that super exaggerated in real life.

@@tiyannahrush2612 true. I go to uni with a girl who is naturally like that. And I used to school with another girl in high school who had a similar figure and even had a thigh gap. So it's not entirely unrealistic....it's just that presenting it as the only body shape that women should have is what is problematic and unrealistic.
@@jazharris2903 not just surgery, they probably do look exaggerated, but they photoshop like hell too. It's painfully obvious when you look at the head size and elbows warping. It's soooo easy to see once you've spotted it, really not hard at all. It's painfully obvious lol

They have crazy proportions with surgery, but then they push it further with crazy photoshop. It's so obvious to literally anyone with eyes lmao

hi freddy, can i quickly say how much i enjoyed this video! however, recently i have become away of workers in bangladesh who do not get paid for their hard work in some companies - fashion nova is one of these companies. as great as the clothes may be, i just want you to be careful.
yes this is so important!! so many of these fast fashion brands are not paying workers and influencers are promoting this
To be fair she literally says shes never ordered from there before until making this video and she often supports ethical brands over fast fashion
FREDDY, DONT EVER FEEL LIKE YOU'RE SNOBBY! Coming from someone who grew up thinking anything above $20 is expensive, therefore always thrifting from Goodwill and shopping at Walmart. Now that I have a solid income, I buy more investment pieces and oh it feels so good to wear high quality items. I don't blame you at all for not adoring these stores, the workers are treated poorly, the quality is abhorrent, the sizing can be off, etc. I don't think you're saying anything wrong or coming across as snobby; your family always seemed well off and naturally your closet is luxurious. There's nothing wrong about that, you don't look down on people who wear these things :)

It is genuinely eye-opening in that a lot of the time it's not one's body making the clothes look bad when shopping at a "fast fashion" place - it's the quality! I can't tell you how many times I've left a fitting room on the verge of tears because of how a piece looked on me. Seeing the difference in fit and effect on you, and how much less flattering and helpful the cheaper pieces were, gives me a much-needed dose of reality. I am way encouraged to never shop at a lower quality store again. Thank you!!!

I'm glad you're talking about the feel of the fabric! i recently ordered some dresses (not from any company you work with) and was dismayed with several things - one being, they felt like that stiff, scratchy fabric worn in scrubs!

Not surprised about NastyGal! I also made a large order as one of bloggers that I follow had a collaboration with them and the quality is so so so bad :( Had to send most of the clothes back and it wasn't even that cheap!
