Love your set up! Mine is still work-in-progress, similar to yours. l flipped our formal dining with the pool table room, got the Kallax units that are 4 up & 4 across. I’m going on yr 3 of this card making frenzy & collected all the “stuff,” quicker than l’m making so l have to rearrange my stacks to get to what l need. Thanks for describing your choices of storing products & providing the links to access them. This demo is very timely, you’ve given me ideas for using the space in the cubes more effectively! New subscriber here! 👍🏻👏🙏🏻💖
Awesome! So excited to have you as part of my community. I feel like I am always rearranging and sometimes get just as much joy as creating cards. Thank you so much for your kind and supportive message! It brightens my day 🥰💕🥰💕
Love the tour. Thank you for sharing. I was thinking that if you had a crafty carpenter you could have drawers made out of that built-in bench area. Great place to stash all your adhesives and other odds and sods.
Thank you so much Nicki!! Loved the tour. Just got my ink pad carousel and love it already. Got some great ideas from your video for things that have been bothering me...clutterwise. Thank you again!!
Love your video- I need to redo my craft desk which has everything out but now I am a Travel Advisor as well so I need to use the same space for my laptop and large monitor then shift to crafting in between. I will definitely use some of your suggestions after a trip to IKEA!
i love the back wall. All the pretty rainbow order things. Have you ever thought of painting the built ins to match the Ikea storage. The rest of your room is so light and airy. I have an antique drafting table that is brown but my room is all the white ikea. (i just can't paint the drafting table LOL)
Yes, I have considered it. Currently, I'm ok with the contrast but may consider in the future. It's quite an undertaking to paint and would like to paint the back wall as well. 🥰
I understand that. That is why my room is still the eggshell color that it is. I would have to move so much furniture and bookshelves out to do so. You do have a beautiful room with amazing organization.
I like the ideas you have, especially putting the logo of the company on a bin. Like Lawn Fawn! I wonder what to do with some Tim Holtz stencils/stamp sets? I guess I should keep them together but they are kind of tall and fall over. I have two of those carts because I don't have a lot of drawer space. I did have the refrigerator bins but one of them cracked so I started buying other plastic bins from Target.
The tall sets can be difficult for sure. My bins hold those big sets and if I put some grip material like shelf liner in the bin, it helps them not slide all over the place.
That built in is absolutely beautiful I’m bad though I would run wood the same size/color and raise up the Alex drawers to get access to the bottom love it.
@ you can always use corner brackets the strong ones on each side and run wood the length as long as the wood is think is shouldn’t bow. If you do eventually try something I’d love to see it.
I have to say that before you even opened the door, I knew you were very blessed! And that’s wonderful! Just the door costs more than my whole craft room put together! And that’s ok, God provides so greatly for me and I too am blessed. I am someone who is definitely a neat freak and I must own up to the fact that I have OCD about organizing and having clean well taken care of things. So I don’t like to see anything out if I could be given a free craft room of my choice, it would almost all be in cabinets and drawers. It’s my day dream to own a kallax unit with doors and drawers on the bottom 2 rows and to have Alex drawers and a new real table with a drawer unit on each side in an “L” with a working area and an inking area. Which is how I have it now but with 2 big plastic tables parallel to each other. I have some great tips that I have come up with being disabled and a single mom when I started and not having the budget I would love to have. enjoy your gorgeous room and your outstanding new house! I can tell!
Yes, I’m very blessed! I have considered some Kallax cabinet inserts but do love to see everything. My job is card making so I am happy to have a space to work. Thank you so much for watching! I have a more in depth video on paper organization and craft room coming this week. 🥰🥰💕💕
@@NickiHeartsCards Also those drawer inserts make the inside space on the kallax almost unusable. Did you notice that? Of course you can put some small amount of something in there, but do we have small amounts of anything? lol!
@ I just looked at the measurements online. I acted like I was making one to get the dimensions then backed out. might save you some extras you’ll end up with in your cart! lol! that store is a woman’s dream store!
Wonderful craft room! I love to see the changes in your craft room from year to year too. I would love some items from Stamp-n-storage but being in Canada I can’t justify the cost (our dollar is so bad) and shipping ☹️ but I also don’t craft for a living just as a hobby ❤
Yes, I tend to lean toward the mini ink pads. It's nice to have the bigger size if you are inking a large stamp. My favorite is Catherine Pooler mini inks but also love Altenew and Simon Says Stamp inks. I have quite a few videos showing these. It may depend on the type of colors you are interested in as well.
Only complaint I had about that vertical storage was that my stuff laid too far back inside the dividers. I solved that problem by cutting foam pieces from packing materials and taping the pieces onto the dividers, then sliding the platform or trimmer into the dividers. Now they are at a perfect angle for me to grab and slide back in. This was interesting, TFS. Edited to add: I cut dollar tree kitchen cutting mats to fit the backs and fronts of my various grip mats - it comes off easily, keeps dust off of them AND stores upright in that vertical storage!
Wow you are organized! Beautiful! Did I see a Sizzix Scoring Board & Trimmer? If so how do you like it? I am looking for a new trimmer. I have 2 older trimmers but I can not see the measurements. I also need a scoreboard.
I have the We R Memory Keepers ‘the works’ tool which is cutting and score board. I mainly use this for scoring. My favorite cutter is the Rotatrim rotary cutter. Thanks so much for watching. If you need links for any of these things, reply to me and I’ll send to you! 🥰
Beautiful craft room! Thanks for sharing an update. How big is the base of your Akron Mount? I have been looking for a good Phone mount and am considering this one. Thanks.

Yes, so since there are so many options - it only lets me link to the general category. So follow my link to the "storage cabinet" then when you pick the options, I have the "Double drawer" size that gives you 6 drawers. QUESTION: If I bought the Sanfurney Marker Storage unit to set on top of a shelf (not in my Kallax), can I easily move it to my desk to color or would it be too awkward to move?
It can be moved like that but I think you would have to be careful. Sometimes the dividers are loose so moving it makes them fall. I would pick something sturdier if you are going to be moving it around. It will be more expensive but will definitely last longer. Both Stamp n storage and Organizemore have some options made of wood.
It would be pure joy working in this room. Thanks for the tour, it has enhanced my dreams?
Thanks so much for watching! Glad it gave you some ideas 🥰🥰
Oh, I wish I was that organized. Recently, have been organizing more and also purging out things I don't use. Thanks so much for all the good ideas.
You are welcome! Thanks so much for watching 🥰❤️💕
Wow, great ideas. I’m wanting to do a major organization for 2025 of my craft room so this will help. My room is way smaller. Thanks for great ideas.

I love the organization. It looks like a very calming room to craft in. Do you have issues with your cardstock fading with the brightness of the room?
Thank you! No, I don’t have any issues with fading. My window has a shade on it and I don’t leave it up just in case.
That built in is absolutely beautiful I’m bad though I would run wood the same size/color and raise up the Alex drawers to get access to the bottom love it.

Yes but they are wider than the Alex drawers so part would hang off them.

I typically do not use crafters paper - such as 12x12 scrapbook paper. Most of my papers is 11x17 or larger. Do you have suggestions?
I’m sorry, I don’t have any paper that size. Most of my storage cubes are 13x13 so I’m not sure where I would put that size paper. Wish I could help 🫶
