Hi! I started crafting during the pandemic as well, it was a good healthy distraction💗 That’s so cool that you turned it into a business! Hope you’re having a great week🫶🏻
Very nice space! The little nook space could house a metal shelf rack on wheels for items you don't need very often. Then you just roll it out when you need to and roll it back out of the way. Just a thought.
I enjoyed your enthusiasm. I’ve been crafting with cards and photo albums with scrapping but don’t get to do it often so forget what I did… and now retired so looking forward to playing❣️
Fun to watch you organize 😊 I would put a closet rod or two in that little nook and utilize some hanging storage organizers for (like shoes) but I have done that are specific for wrapping paper that I got on Amazon. Makes organizing gift bags and tissue paper a dream!
In regards to the odd, deep and narrow nook, you could purchase (or build) another shelf or cabinet of any depth. Place it on a plywood deck to which you attach GOOD, sturdy & smooth rolling wheels. Also add a wheeled deck to the purchased shelves. We have done this with most of my studio furniture, as the configuration is constantly evolving over the past 25 years. You can then place one of your shelves (or cabinet) behind the other, containing extra supplies or less often used items. Of course, you could replace the purchased shelf entirely with your custom unit. Hope that helps give you options. Thanks for sharing your project.
Thank you for the tip about the wooden dowels and command strips. I live in an apt and needed an idea for hanging things. And your craft room looks like it is so much fun. Happy for you with your mom cave/craft room ❤
Hi! I’m Missy! I enjoy craft room organization videos , especially right now, as I am actively working on my craft room! Thanks for sharing your space! Mine isn’t ideal, as I can’t spend a lot of money on it right now, but it’s coming along! I have one box and one craft bag of beads to sort and organize, and then pick up ALL the beads on the floor, disinfect them, and sort them, clean off the papercrafting table, then think of better organization for my paper scraps, stickers, and embellishments! Get rid of extra silk flowers to repurpose the basket they’re in, and move jewelry supplies into the basket… then go through two milk crates and find another home for the stuff in them, and vacuum!😅 I have a ways to go! Thank you for sharing your awesome craft room! I wish I had as much storage as you!❤
I just caught your video and really enjoyed watching you have so much fun creating your own fun space. I think I enjoy organizing as much as crafting some days! Lol I’ve been crafting for 3 decades and now that I’m an empty nester for the last 14 years I’ve dedicated most of that time to cardmaking. I use clear stamps and have several die cutting machines. It’s so much fun and I love bringing joy to others when they receive a handmade card that I made just for them. 🥰 I also make wreaths, crochet, watercolor, cross stitch, make resin projects, clay projects, and floral arranging. I also have the Cricut maker 3 and the heat press. So I need lots of space! Lol I hope you truly enjoy your new craft room and I look forward to seeing you create your own joyful moments there!
Awe thank you so much! I definitely see myself doing a lot more crafting later in life! Since my kids are still young, my crafting is mostly with them but I also love to make home decor. Homemade cards are such a sweet thing to give so I’m hoping to do the same💗
Good afternoon from NC. I’ve been a crafter for over 60 years. I sew, knit, crochet, card making, and create journals and junk journals. My craft room is a disaster right now and needs a major overhaul. 😁 thank you for sharing your time and talent.
I feel seen!!! I also collect lots and lots of organizers!! My friends tease me because I really don't have the space for them and it's kind of counterproductive 😅 Your collection is really organized! Thanks for the great ideas ❤
I redid 650 sq. ft. In part of my basement. That included a playroom for the grands and great grands, a large pantry and my craft room. I’m so in love with the finished product, as I’m sure you are with your craft room!!!
Your space is very nicely appointed and put together well. Evidence of a lot of planning shines. I am a paper crafter, machine embroider, and a beader who is in the process of redesigning my design space. You have given me hope and inspiration.
Hi! I'm loving your room transformation! In that narrow space, I would get a second identical shelf, and add appliance rollers to the bottoms! Add less frequently used things to the back shelf, and one or both can just roll out!
I love your video and your craft room you put together. I am in the process of getting my craft room together. I love the 3 shelves you had I would like to get them. But looking at your video gave me so many ideas. Thank you so much for sharing. Your craft room looks awesome.
Love this video. I will be getting my craft cave in a few weeks when my son moves. A whole bedroom with lots of light. Can't wait! Thanks for all the ideas. I make cards, cricut crafts, resin art and my daughter does bracelets.
I have gotten some ideas watching your video for organizing my craft room. I started crafting, last Fall, purely by accident. I came across a video on making a wreath. I thought I'd give it a try! It turned out so well, that even my husband loved it! I have made 14 wreaths for gifts. I have two people who want me to make them one for them and they'll pay me! I had to find a new purpose in life after i lost my 29 yo son in 2020. I'm not normally a crafty person but i have really gotten into it! I finally was able to go through my son's room. This will be my craft room! Thank you for sharing your ideas! Your room looks great! Happy Crafting!
I’m so sorry about your son, but I love that you have been able to channel your grief and turn it into a new passion and purpose💗 You are so inspiring my friend💕
@@MillerFamilyVibes thank you so much! It keeps me busy and occupied, especially on those really tough days! I'm going to eventually put up his sports memorabilia. I'm sure my son would be pleased with what I'm doing with his room!
Hi tricia wow how cool does your craft room look you must be over the moon. I don't craft but my daughter actually started her own business crafting, it's called scrap my memories she just loved crafting so much . I hope you are well and having a wonderful week ❤ vicky xx
A reaction from the Netherlands. I like your craftroom. I wish i had a craftroom. I like to make cards and a lot of other creative things ypu can do with paper.
Loved watching your video! It's so inspiring. I am a beginner at crafts, but love every day more that I try them. I think for the space in the back corner a suggestion is to store your candles or extra backflow supplies or napkins. OR use it for emergency kits- flash lights, batteries, extra blankets.
I love those suggestions, thank you so much! I feel the same way about crafting! I also know the more I do it, the better I’ll get so I try to be gentle on myself when a project doesn’t turn out🙃 It’s always fun to try something new🌈
What a great job! So clean and organized! I also designed a basement craft space that I dearly love. I used the Kallax 71” x 71” unit. It’s perfect! Enjoy and make time to relax and create in this beautiful space!
****** I would take your "nook" and put shelving there and then you could use plastic bins and have a ton of tucked in, hidden storage. Since it's so narrow, you could do the kind of shelving that just sits on top of three pieces screwed to the wall. Easy to do and doesn't take up side space. You could store seasonal deco there or really anything! ******
I have a similar nook like you do in my basement. I took a similar bookshelf like you have, except a bigger one with more squares, put it in sideways (with baskets in it) and put the shelving unit on wheels so I can slide it in and out and created more storage area :) Or, just put a backing on it so you can put stuff on it and nothing will fall off the back when sliding it in and out depending on what kind of unit will fit into that space.
You did a great job! One hint for making your craft paper more accessible: turn your paper holder vertically, that way it will be easier to grab a particular sheet without the weight of all the other pieces of paper on top of it! Really enjoyed the video!
I agree with you. In my new craftroom, I am turning my smaller paper sorters sideways. It will make it so much easier to remove the papers (especially in the sorters that are full). She doesn't have a lot of paper, so this could work for her right now. 😊
Love your new craft room!!! 🎨🧶 I was so looking forward to this video. I am inspired to tackle mine! You are the sweetest and did such an amazing job! You gave me so many great ideas! Thank you!!! ❤
VERY organized and fantastic use of all your space! I love your method of pre-organizing according to your containers/materials. Sadly, I’d need all of your seasonal boxes just for my Christmas. 🫣 I may have a problem. 🤣
🤣 Love it!🎄🎅🏻 I have a feeling I’ll be accumulating a lot more craft items now that I have the space! I see many declutter and organize videos in the future😁 Hope you’re having an amazing weekend☀️

Your craft room is so nice and organized. That small cubbies would be great for a tiered craft cart that you can pull to your table with all your most used craft supplies
This is so awesome congratulations I am hunting desperately for organizational ideas for my new business but it watercolor so I have all these tiny little pieces to try and find some way to organize. Hopefully, there are some things that I can use to get my watercolors in order so that I can fill my shipments without driving myself crazy. When your business blows up all of a sudden, you’re left with this huge mess and no time to get organized so looking forward to subscribing to your channel for my sanity
Great video. I do think you are going to have trouble with the folding table. I tried it and found that middle would bow when I was working on it. The lights are gorgeous. I showed my husband, and we are going to buy them for our bedroom, because of frequent power outages.
I love your shelfing and the lighting sconces, I am awaing some shelves so I can finally start on my stuff to do, going to do a box for my teabags first I think😊
Great job! I really enjoyed watching the process. You could get a rolling cart for that cubby hole or if you are anything like me that is a wonderful place for a couple of cheap kitchen trash cans to hold your wrapping paper. But you just st discussed the folding table so you could place the table in the cubby hole
COMMENT, Ms. Miller … regarding video o.d. 26:24 wherein you asked what we’d do with the bitsy alcove in your space. IF THEY’d FIT, I’d probably use it to stash those oversized bins you were putting seasonal items into. Until each season rolls around, you’ll have no need to get in and out of them. Since you’ve dealt so nicely with the esthetics of the room up to now, you c o u l d put a tension rod across the opening and a drape to hide them. I think, however, I’d be inclined to make some sort of screen to put across it. You could probably find a narrow pair of bi-fold door panels at a Habi-Store (their proceeds, I understand, go to help fund less costly housing for those in need.). If there’s room, you could possibly angle that bookcase between the “L” forming shelving. It doesn’t really coordinate with the shelving you’ve already opted for, but with the kind of IKEA boxes you are using, they may camouflage the difference. Two additional things: That was quite clever to bring the shelving close enough together to create those nooks for the IKEA boxes!! And lastly, a caveat … you may not want to store your yarn - exposed as it is - in such close proximity to the hvac’s cold air return VENT. I don’t think it’d take long for those beautiful bundles to be full of dust and pet hair!! Just a suggestion …
I would put deep floating shelves in that narrow area this way you can use the back of it for things you don't use regularly but still have a lot more storage
I truly love them! I think they look so nice and the battery life has lasted really well. As with all electronics, you just have to remember to charge them when needed. I remember seeing a hack where people would put a puck light in a sconce for lighting but these are way better. I’m trying to find other places in our house to add them because they’re so pretty🩷
Hi! I love these sconces! I'm doing another collaboration with them for our bedroom next week so here is the info and a discount code for you: OFFICIAL STORE:link.hymela.com/YTB-Tricia-C02 Discount code: MFV11 for 11% OFF for the whole store AMZ STORE:link.hymela.com/YTB-AMZ-Tricia-C02 Discount code: 11TRICIA to this product
I wanted to get that colored set of letter beads but I didn't realize they were so small. would they even fit 2mm string like regular pony beads? and I have a similar table only left the leg extensions off so it's coffee table height
I would have started with Spring box on top & and worked down with winter on the bottom because it would have the most in it & be heavier. I find it hard to lift heavy items overhead. Just my thought since I'm old & my body don't work like it used to.
Happy Saturday! I’m so excited for today’s video! 🌈 Are you a crafty person? 🎨🖌️

Yay! I haven’t gotten into sewing yet but it’s on my list! Hope you’re having a great weekend💕
Perfect space for you! Hi from 🇨🇦
Hi Susanne! I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!☀️
Hi im new to your channel I am from South Africa loved your video
Hi Kathleen! Welcome! I hope you’re having an amazing week😊
New subscriber your room turned out great!
Thank you so much!
Such a cute space!
Thank you Marylyn! 💕
Nice Job!
Thank you!💕
I'm new here. Hi from British Columbia Canada.
Hello friend! I hope you’re having a lovely Autumn season🍂🍁
I like to make gifts as well as cards, paper crafts
I’m hoping to start making cards as well, I think it’s such a thoughtful thing to give someone💗
I love to make bracelets cards and rhinestoning ❤
That sounds so fun! Thank you for sharing💗
Great job! I really enjoyed watching the process. You could get a rolling cart for that cubby hole or if you are anything like me that is a wonderful place for a couple of cheap kitchen trash cans to hold your wrapping paper. But you just st discussed the folding table so you could place the table in the cubby hole
Those are amazing ideas!! Thank you so much!💗
COMMENT, Ms.
Thank you so much for the helpful tips! I greatly appreciate it!🫶🏻
I like scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is so fun!💗
A French glass door would let in even more light 😊
I love that idea!💗
New subscriber to your channel.❤❤❤❤
Hi Maggie! Welcome!💗🍁🍂🍁🍂
Chuckled at the size of your labels! You won't have to worry about being able to see them as you get older! 😂
😂 No I will not🤣🤣
I would put deep floating shelves in that narrow area this way you can use the back of it for things you don't use regularly but still have a lot more storage
Love that idea! Thank you so much!
A rolling wire shelf unit, for your thin long space.
Yes! Great idea! I’m going to start looking for one and then eventually I’ll get some shelves built in. Thanks for the idea!🩷
I love your craft room. It is so awesome to have one. I have one too. It is so exciting ❤️🤍💙❤️🤍💙
Thank you!! Do you have a favorite craft you like to make? I’m so excited to do more now that I have a dedicated space😄
I'm new to crafting. I mainly diamond paint but I also color and scrap book. I'd love to find other things I end up enjoying;
Those sound so fun! 💗
You could just pull the narrow bookcase out so that it's even with the wall.😊
Great idea, thank you!
I like your craft room. This video has inspired me a lot🤗❤!
Yay! Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked it🥰
I like painting and using plaster and sewing.
So fun! I’ve never used plaster before but it sounds like a good time😄
@@MillerFamilyVibes messy but fun
pull out Pocket shelves (2)
Two sided storage😍
Nice! I’ll have to check those out! Thanks friend🫶🏻
would love to know how you like the rechargeable sconces?
I truly love them! I think they look so nice and the battery life has lasted really well. As with all electronics, you just have to remember to charge them when needed. I remember seeing a hack where people would put a puck light in a sconce for lighting but these are way better. I’m trying to find other places in our house to add them because they’re so pretty🩷
can i ask for the link for the wall sconces? those are stunning

I would put books in that little nook
Great idea! Thank you!💗
Where did you purchase the cubby to store your 12” x 12” scrap book paper? I’ve been looking all over for one.
I’ve been looking for the same thing! The one I have only holds 8.5x11 paper🙃 I will definitely let you know if I find one!
Maybe it’s a spot for those long file cabinets
Great idea!
❤❤❤😊
💗💗💗
Where you get bins that hold your yarn
Hi! They are from Target, here’s the link: www.target.com/p/large-stackable-wood-kids-39-storage-bin-light-brown-pillowfort-8482/-/A-17478760
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💖💖 how do you get started
Hi friend! I’m a planner so I try to get a plan in place before I start a room makeover! That makes it so much easier to start💗
❤
💗
I wanted to get that colored set of letter beads but I didn't realize they were so small. would they even fit 2mm string like regular pony beads? and I have a similar table only left the leg extensions off so it's coffee table height
The beads that I have are very small! You are correct! I’m still looking for the right string!
Do u have craft books you could put them in the bookcase
I mostly use Pinterest for ideas but I do have a few books I could put on the shelves, great idea! Thanks friend!🌈
Can you give me information on the pink paper storage unit? Thank you
Hi! They don't sell it anymore but here is a very similar one in white: amzn.to/3Mh5R1l
I would have started with Spring box on top & and worked down with winter on the bottom because it would have the most in it & be heavier. I find it hard to lift heavy items overhead. Just my thought since I'm old & my body don't work like it used to.
Hi Brenda! I may have to switch them around, especially if I add more stuff to the boxes! I hope you are well and having a great week💕
I would customize bigger shelves that are deeper than this tiny shelf that you have now. Sorry for bad english i live in norway
I totally agree! Hopefully someday soon🤞🏻 Have a great week friend!💕
done
In that corner where your vinyl was I would have put my wool
Great idea!
Geez you could lean ping pong table against the wall. Clip on fabric board.
Great table for craftroom .
Great idea!
I totally understand the height difference. Lol! My husband is 6’11” and I’m 5’2”.
Yes!!! I’m so used to it but it makes me laugh when people point it out🤣 it’s very handy, he can reach all the tall things 😁
Put all the yarns there in the nook.
Great idea! Thank you🥰
