I’ve been doing Yoga for the past two months and noticed some improvement in my stress management. Deep breathing techniques also help when I’m under pressure

Iam a health professional with 25 years experience in the health, medical, wellness, care and now education sector. This is a truly awesome video and the best one I have ever seen, that explains about stress, how it effects you and how to manage this.
Well done Marcus for presenting and delivering this information in a very accurate, informative and patient friendly way.
I will definately share and keep this video handy, when using this to teach students.
I personally find yoga, tai chi, DDPY Yoga, cutting out carbs and sugar, being aware of what I eat and drink, the environment I put my self in and being more mindful and grateful has really changed my life and that of those around me.
I really appreciate that you have put this resource together.

Informative video. To feel better reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations when taking a walk, before sleep, in college, at work, in the kitchen, when reading, etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Reduce negative social media, take morning sunlight walks and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I've been pondering whether to quit my career job as a chef due to the health risks. at the age of 22 I've just moved country for the first time and got a job at a high class fine dining restaurant. my initial excitement has worn off and the stress of this all coupled with my highly neurotic mind and poor social skills have left me exhausted and highly agitated during my weekends, to the point I cant even relax then. I've been constantly thinking of what do do if I quit this job, but I cant think of anything good enough so for now I'm stuck, I've sunk a lot into this career and its my only skill. I fear that ill never find the answer to my problem and that the stress with either strengthen me or kill me.

It’s really common to feel stressed about things that happen in life, but it much harder for all of us when we try to cope on our own. Please reach for help and support. There are many places that can help you to work past this and you don’t have to do it on your own.
Organisations such as Childline can help. You can confidentially call, chat online or email about any problem big or small. They also have a free 1-2-1 counsellor chat you can sign up without giving your real name or email address.
Youngminds also have lots of useful resources on their website including a guide on how to ask for help with your mental health.
If you are feeling very unhappy, upset or worried about hurting yourself, please reach out for help right away. Speak to an adult that you can trust, or if you can’t do this call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
Get support from Childline here www.childline.org.uk/get-support/
Get support from Youngminds here www.youngminds.org.uk/young-person/your-guide-to-support/reaching-out-for-help/
