      QPS prosecutors are the ones who elected for the matter to be dealt with in a magistrates court rather then indicting the guy into a higher court, they knew what the max possible sentence a magistrate could deliver, which is what he got, the maximum sentence the magistrate had power to hand down. Don't blame the judge, blame QPS because they could have sort a harsher penalty but chose not to.

      @@TheEnvelopeOZ _"So what do you do when you get called out to a job, only to find the suspects don't want to talk to males?"_
      Absolutely valid.
      We can't limit police to simply those who are the youngest, strongest, fittest, and most capable of winning a physical fight, because policing is also about engaging with the community, dealing with male and female members of the public, domestic violence, domestic disputes, etc. There is a place for female cops, just as there is a place for older, less in-shape male cops who are wiser, calmer, and better able to negotiate and diffuse situations. Different cops are better suited to different roles in the community.
      Ideally, no cop should _ever_ be dispatched solo to investigate an unknown situation like this, male _or_ female. Firstly, tasers are *not* reliable, so a lone cop is forced to either draw a firearm and escalate to lethal force, or cross their fingers and hope the taser functions as desired. Secondly, as demonstrated here, subduing somebody solo can be extremely difficult, and there's no way to control the taser while also trying to cuff them. That same scenario, with 2 cops and minimal grappling training, becomes next to trivial.
      This cop was clearly out of her depth, and she's very lucky he didn't seem to have lethal intent. We don't have teachers taking 2 classes at once, so we shouldn't have 1 cop doing the job of 2.

    • @jaseallen6042
      @jaseallen6042 6 місяців тому +6

      @@WeAreSoPredictable Firstly, no. Police are paid to enact justice and the letter of the law, not to be therapists and counsellors.
      Secondly, it is the law that if there are any female officers on duty AND nearby/available, they can attend, but when one is not on duty or available, a female cannot be demanded and the lead investigator completes the stop. Also, it is NOT a criminal's freedom to direct an investigation, nor to ask who to be directed by. If that is not someone's cup of tea - don't break the law. And if we are in an "inclusive" mindset, a person shouldn't have to LOOK like someone or be of the same gender to be respected as a human being and as a upholder of the law.
      Thirdly, even if she was being dispatched with someone else she would have most likely been a liability. The second cop would probably be a male (of course) who'd have to do the heavy lifting AND having to defend her at the same time. You can tell by the screaming (which is doing nothing but taking air out of her lungs) that her innate reaction is fear, and that she does not have the mental and physical fitness to deal with things alone or to provide adequate assistance to a partner. Your excuses work in a fairy tale land, but these are the streets and people's LIVES are at stake. A person should be able to do their job in such an occupation and not just fill a quota enabled by an agenda for a damn check. All I heard from you was a bunch of PC bs and smokescreens to uphold a delusion. GET REAL m8
