Installing Screw Inserts for Wood

For my central pivot camera rig, I need a sturdy base to mount it all to. Luckily I have a spare base cabinet top sitting around from when I built my workspace. This is the process I used for mounting the plate to the top.
1. Find the center and mark it out.
2. Position the plate and mark out the screw holes using a center punch.
3. Using a Forstner bit (I got them and wanted to try them out) I drilled the holes.
4. Install wood screw inserts using a socket wrench.
