- Welcome ERRA to the UNFD family! Snowblood is out now: unfd.lnk.to/Snowblood
Blood starved machine in a feeding frenzy. Don’t look now, but the floor is collapsing. No escape, the plummet is everlasting. Sound awake in the bed I've made. Pull out the pin, sanity is a grenade. Dead and sound awake. You could lose yourself in the absence of loss. Reset and wander far away. Dead and sound awake. Ambitions thrown away. Spirits washed away. You should know. Nothing lasts forever. Following footprints in circles, going snowblind. Exits overgrown inside the maze of my mind. Crawling out of the crypt to bleed the living dry. In this fantasy, the villains win, the heroes die. Slow diving to despair. Fuck it, I’m done. This is a waking nightmare. Blood starved machine in a feeding frenzy. Dead and sound awake. You could lose yourself in the absence of loss. Reset and wander far away. Dead and sound awake. Ambitions thrown away. Spirits washed away. You should know. Nothing lasts forever. Black moon rising. Glimpse of madness. Blossom black rose. Withered. Abandoned. Sorrowed. Sleepless. Alone. Sleepless nights, hearing voices. Faint whispers expand like disease. The dead are not dreaming. Can’t you hear them screaming? This is a waking nightmare. Crawling out of the crypt to bleed the living dry. In this fantasy, the villains win, the heroes die. Slow diving to despair. Fuck it, I’m done. This is a waking nightmare.

After the solo everything got dark, and I felt disoriented only to realize there were now sunglasses on my face. Definitely not mine, and no idea how they got there but thanks for the free sunglasses Erra.

Erra is like the janitor at school everyone loves but doesn't get enough credit for what he does. Erra's music always cleanses me and I can always rely on them to be there.
Does your janitor cleanse you man
so true
I agree, I hate that shit, when someone talented isn’t recognized.
@@lenidubelinc000 That's just the music industry in this day and age. The shitty and mundane artists get the recognition they don't deserve while the good artists barely get any of it at all.

hilarious
True
tbh it's more Progressive Metal (some may call it "Djent") than Metalcore
prog metal? nah. metalcore? pretty much with exceptions

Doesn't matter if you liked old or recent erra before. The Erra now, is incredible.
I was sort of sitting on the fence for metalcore and I just couldn't get into any really heavy stuff like Polaris until I listened to this band. They _seriously_ helped normalize screaming for me.

Eye of God Part II and I'm all for it. That breakdown is next level
Yeah, I knew it sounded a little similar.
Eye of God Waaaay better, that this. This is just like forgotten bonus track from Neon. Sametime Eye was like a standalone hit or main single for new album (that I was thought those days it was released).
@@sergeyromanenko6329 I was thinking the same thing man. Can't believe no one really thought of that. Like this is somehow better than their last 2 albums, which is far from that IMO.
Yeah
Some bars are pretty similar to the Neon-style.
That “TOOL” bridge though
funny enough I got to it at exactly the same as I read your comment so yeah great timing
Straight into the gym playlist- didn’t even after to listen

SAME. ERRA better than a preworkout.
Sumerians roster dropping like flies lmao
As it should, garbage label ran by a garbage person
@@IbanezPlayer124 wait what's wrong with Sumerian? I hadn't heard anything about them
@@notmrcrowley9757 i think they promote way too much poppy/bad sounding stuff lately
Things like Bones Uk, Dead Posey, Juliet Simms, Palaye Royale, Starbenders,...
I personally hate half of their roster, and this is kinda annoying to follow. Labels like Sharptone or StaySick stay on the same register so it makes it mych clearer.
I'm not saying that pop is bad or anything or even that those bands are bad, juste that they don't sit well with the label
The fact that i like VOM, Bad Omens, Slaughter to Prevail and I See Stars does not make me like Bones Uk or Starbender, pretty much the other way around. It doesn't work together for me
They should have splitted it to be much clearer
It's kinda the same thing with Rise Records tho
They unfortunately just resigned Animals as Leaders too
@@notmrcrowley9757 they only care about promoting bands like Asking Alexandria and making movies like American Satan and the show that came from that movie. They are about the red state butt rock not metal or metal core for that matter.
now THIS is the Erra I've been wanting to hear. Song rules.
Same I hated their last few albums this is slick tho so much going on they brought back the chugging instead of the open low string breakdowns like every prog metal core band does
@@aprioris.knowledge2765 you must be mistaking their other albums for another band, erra and only breakdowns? Ya right
This whole song is gold. I particularly enjoy that transition right after the first chorus back into the main riff. And then again when J.T. says, "Slow diving TO DESPAIRRR!!"
Man, JT's vocals are still so fucking strong. Glad the production is better than their last record. Lots of energy
That's it. Erra is now the top of the genre. God damn best thing in 2020!
Always have been 🤘😝 these guys r gods. LoL. This track is another masterpiece.
God I will never get sick of Erra's mix of vocals.
Really liking how heavy their music is getting. It sounds a little chaotic but I love it.
Chaos metal and progressive groove at it's finest. No one can ever put these dudes in a box
Same. I always felt their last few albums were too soft. They had heavy parts, but I always considered them more easy listening. I love seeing how much heavier and energetic they're getting.
Yeah they deff getting more chaotic and I love every bit of it. You ever see them live ? fuckin bonkers.
@@mentaltelepathy24 Yeah on the Neon Alien tour. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to!
Spencer Whiteout damn I’m jealous of that lol. I’ve heard that Northlane puts on a great show then add in ERRA. Had to be great. Would love to catch a show but not a lot of bands make it to Pittsburgh or when they do it’s middle of the week.
During this time we have been forced inside, I found myself drifting (no pun intended) towards ERRA's music. From the chaotic, progressive riffs to the soaring, sonic choruses and crushing breakdowns, I feel like every and any emotion can be captured in their music. Truly a great combination and balance that I find hard to get sick of; literally a verse for every mood possible. Can't wait to see you guys live when the pandemic subsides
I haven't gotten to see them live yet but as soon as live concerts return I'm running to the freaking venue
Well said!! Perfectly encapsulates me as well. They’re sick live!
i’ve seen ERRA twice now and i can confirm they are absolutely amazing and put on a crazy show
YEP!!!
What about a tour spiritbox + erra?
Is it dreaming too much seeing you guys in Portugal with them next year? 😏
There's so much going on in this song and that's exactly why I love ERRA.
So many layers its fucking unreal
Okay JT bringin some of the cleans in on that chorus 👌👌
When harsh vocalists start singing, it usually means the end of a band. Wage War being a fantastic example here.
@@icanmakeeverythingilovedie9861 except this is fantastic and pressure was not
@@trevorgreen2339 So was Low, even if it was similar to Doomsday. A single means nothing until the album's out.
@@icanmakeeverythingilovedie9861 Ah yes every vocalist must only be allowed to do one or the other or they're doing something wrong. Don't gatekeep, it ain't cool. :)
@@icanmakeeverythingilovedie9861 Dude, it's not even that much singing. August Burns Red, Counterparts, and The Ghost Inside aren't strangers to this formula, and all 3 of them had a song or two with a lot of cleaning singing on their latest albums. Not a bad thing at all. It's part of what made Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Architects, and Every Time I Die grow their fanbases to what they are today just to name a few veterans.
Awesome song, this goes straight to my erra favs list. Killer riffs, top notch production and the vocal harmonies in the chorus are genius! Great job, love it \m/

You came here knowing you wouldn't be disappointed,
And you were not.
I actually came here expecting to be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised 😍
I'm sad, knowing I won't get another album like Augment again. Their new sound is alright but it's not the ERRA I fell in love with.
The xPoison well Alan Rigdon helped write impulse and augment and isn’t in the band anymore so obviously the band won’t sound like that again. Also, bands evolve...so yeah
@@xSubbbZER0x while i also lean towards the older ERRA as something magical, this new sound has me fired up. Ths is IMO the best they've made since Augment and i'm really hyped for a new album, whenever that is, if it sounds like this.

@@devinbender8428 lol ya I've seen you in a couple of other videos. Great taste in music lol
So it wasn't until I read through the lyrics along with this song that I realized the true brilliance of it. The song is about a nightmare, duh. But it's even written how a dream feels. It's sort of connected but doesn't exactly fit together. Something is off and it doesn't gnaw on you how off it is until you wake up from the dream and realize how off it is in reality. Nothing quite makes sense, but you only realize that when you are awake. The writing from top to bottom in this song makes it a damn near perfect heavy song. Maybe my favorite metal song that's come out in 10 years.
3:43 That breakdown is so hot, the floor starts to smoke a little bit.
Love the solo and breakdowns. It feels like a more mature Neon that’s heavier.
Perfect description, so hyped
Agree, 2:12 & 3:30 Favorite Part
What is the reason erra isn't bigger ? Jesus they are amazing dudes. Jesse's voice is great. Dude when can preorder new merch erra?? Love you dudes.
Mitch Hazel to be fair I think he’s gotten way better over the years.
@@bryanshively967 I've seen them 4 or 5 times now and he sounds good to me live. The last time we seen them with northlane was the best. He reminds me of cove reber a little.
Because they’re too good. Lol. Don’t try to fit in either I bet
@@somersfamily Honestly, if Slipknot, Architects, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Lamb Of God, or Parkway Drive decided to take them out on tour then they'd be a lot bigger. These are arguably the biggest bands in the scene now unless we count butt rock bands like Disturbed, Godsmack, Shinedown, Asking Alexandria or Five Finger Death Punch. Usually, from what I've noticed, that's how bands get really big. We've seen the huge growth with Ice Nine Kills, I Prevail, Beartooth, Bad Wolves, and Code Orange, and they just played their cards right.
@@somersfamily you are right. he has told that cove has been his vocal influence
This song still goes hard.

ERRA is the cure for 2020.... love this track! Good stuff guys 👊👊🤘🤘🤘
Everything you expect from Erra, just slightly better
That thing at chorus...that high, little down, back to high and that little "bending" in the high again....thats the shit.
I love how much this song just escalates after the second chorus, its just a vortex of pure metal
Why doesn't this have a million views yet?? These guys are S tier metalcore!!! Saw them live twice before the world went to shit and they are just as good live as they are on album.
This genre of music is not very marketable and if you let a hundred strangers listen to this they’ll think it sounds like a big mess. And that is while Snowblood is one of their few songs that’s friendly to a first time listener.
I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a song so quickly. Easily one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
the creative director and production crew absolutely CRUSHED this video
Don't get me wrong the whole song is amazing, but I live for 3:35 Erra. "This is a waking Nightmare!" \m/
Boys, what have you done here? THIS IS BEYOND EVERYTHING
1:14 giving me big irreversible vibes. I dig it. This whole track smacks hard.
First thing I l thought of as well...though I think they should have just sampled that sound...better sound than this, but the rest of the song is phenomenal. That solo tho...
The level of perfection this band has in musicianship, production, and just pure songwriting is something that is going to be looked back on as a legendary accomplishment by future generations. The absolute most underrated band I've ever heard ever.
im 90% sure I just listen to this 20x in a row.
Man, meralcore in 2020 is somehting insane. Keep em coming, thanks Erra!
3:25 "Pretend I'm not dreaming; did you hear the screaming?" **burst-fire machine gun**
*The dead are not dreaming
But I agree.
I dig that the heart of the track was a solo vs a breakdown and the abrupt ending.
A very visceral piece from a newly UNFD band whose pieces built a beautifully dark whole.
I _live_ for this bands choruses. Like hot damn, the song is amazing all ready and then the start harmonizing vocals and it's all over. One of my favourite bands ever.
I listen to this song almost every day and I find it to be one of their best songs
Why this band don't get the recognition they deserve
people rather listen to mainstream autotune shit instead of talented musicians sad but true.. feel you man
Because of boomers
Because the Era of Metal and Rock is all gone and once an era is gone it don't come again when it comes to music. It's the era of pop and edm music and probably will stay like this for a very very long time.
How did I go a full year without realizing this album came out... This is slapping hard!
The breakdown at 1:29 is insane. Always get pumped when I hear it.
