      sort of but the people who listen to ERRA religiously, and there's a good amount of us, hold him at the highest. Him and Alan Rigdon.

    • @slyholio
      @slyholio 3 роки тому +6

      @@sarcasm4371 happy to see Alan get some love, he has had such a personalized and unique sound from the very beginning. You could always tell which songs were predominantly written by him and I also thought it was sick that he occasionally contributed harsh vox.
      On a personal note he wrote the song Heart about losing his dad and I lost mine when I was 16 so I always felt a connection there.

    • @sarcasm4371
      @sarcasm4371 3 роки тому +2

      @@slyholio Yeah, Heart hit so differently when I read the lyrics and found out it was about Alan's father. And his vocals on Impulse really added so much to that album, having three different people contribute to the band's voice makes it feel so much more alive. I felt a connection with ERRA ever since I listened to Eye of God when I discovered them in 2019, their music just does something that no other band can for me. The Artificials are really enjoyable to listen to, hearing Alan's guitarwork is so special.

      @@sarcasm4371 yeah man I see you like Invent Animate as well, another excellent band, there’s a guy on here named Everchanger that does spot-on guitar covers of both of these bands if you haven’t seen him before. Enjoy the new album in few weeks!

      @@slyholio yeah I've seen some of his videos, but Casey Walle is my favorite cover channel by far, you should check him out. Can't wait for the new ERRA album, none of the singles have been below a 8.5/10 for me and Snowblood was a 10/10.

      I think you have a misunderstanding in the definition of music and noise...
      Anyways, everything has to do with the conception of music and melody that the "modern" music (not all of course but most) lacks

      @@invay69 Sure, I agree. But Impulse and Augment are two of the greatest albums I've ever heard in my life, and I've heard plenty of the old and new. Those albums definitely do not lack the conception of music and melody. Some of the best guitarwork and song structures out there.

      This is probably the first time ever he had to consider what frets he was hitting lol
      Being someone who's played for as long as I can remember. Teaching people to play songs is a difficult task, especially when you have a song like this with 50 different fret hits in one riff LMAO
