I try to get to know them as friends to see if there can potentially be something there later on. Some people are better off just as friends. If I find out he likes some other girl, I’m automatically not interested, heck I’ll even be his wing girl 😂 I’m genuinely their friend, and on some occasions that has gotten them interested in me, and by then I’ve gotten to know them enough to know if they’ll a good partner or not. Adrienne has spoken before about how prideful she is and I can see that she might go for guys that already like her because she won't have to deal with rejection. I do relate to her but I'm trying to become more like Jeannie. Go for what you want and be yourself. IF you get rejected that's fine, at least you tried. This happened with me and my friend a few times throughout our friendship. This was way back when we were early teens. We both liked the same guy and the guy ended up liking me. She told me that I shouldn't go out with him because I should choose friendship. She said it's wrong of me to pick a guy over her. I then asked her "shouldn't you be happy for me?" He ended up with another friend of mine, but we were never that close.
I was that girl in high school who would pursue a guy even though he did not like me. I've learned my lesson and still am embarrassed thinking about it. Everyone knew I liked him. I now have that mindset of Adrienne, and this is an important lesson for girlhood. I always thank God for the important lessons of valuing myself and finding someone who wants to be with me for being me at an early age.

Adrienne hit the nail right on the head for me. This is exactly how I feel. I don't chase, I'm the pursued. I don't play games at all. If the guy likes me and I like him, then I'm open and he knows it because I've confirmed it with him by communication. If he's interested in me and I'm not interested in him, then I'll let him know kindly but directly. I didn't date to just date ever. I dated for the purpose of marriage and I would let the guy know. If it scared him off, then I took that as a positive that my time wasn't wasted. When I saw he was playing games, I dropped him. Life is too short and I don't play games at all with people and their emotions. That's a loser. If anyone has this kind of time, they need to get a life.

This happened with me and my friend a few times throughout our friendship. This was way back when we were early teens. We both liked the same guy and the guy ended up liking me. She told me that I shouldn't go out with him because I should choose friendship. She said it's wrong of me to pick a guy over her. I then asked her "shouldn't you be happy for me?" He ended up with another friend of mine, but we were never that close.
I was that girl in high school who would pursue a guy even though he did not like me. I've learned my lesson and still am embarrassed thinking about it. Everyone knew I liked him. I now have that mindset of Adrienne, and this is an important lesson for girlhood. I always thank God for the important lessons of valuing myself and finding someone who wants to be with me for being me at an early age.

My friend did this to me. Me and this dude liked each other found out he liked someone else while he was still saying he loved me. Found out he liked my best friend. So when me and him stop being a thing she was flirting with him and I found out she liked him too. And she fucked him too which made me stop our friendship.
