UPDATE - IT RUNS GREAT NOW! SEE UPDATE VIDEO
• DT466e - WARNING! Afte...
**
Bought the truck with a stated "electrical issue".
After tracing everything including swapping ECMs and a new rebuilt IDM, still no start.
Replaced all the sensors even though no codes - still no start.
Replaced the IPR - still no start.
Replaced the chunked-out primer ball on the fuel filter housing - still no start.
47psi fuel pressure (at fuel filter) during cranking.
50psi oil pressure at LPOP.
So I removed the HPOP and took it apart. NO FERRY PLUG BALL! It was gone! I really didn't think this would cause a complete NO-START issue. Replaced the .25" ball with part 1833830C1, re-installed the HPOP and it started after a few seconds of cranking! Wow.
Now I have a 331 and 333 DTC (IPR too high and too low) as stored codes so I'll install the original IPR if those codes come back.
Now to tackle a leak at the fuel rail gasket.
But it RUNS! Finally! ;-p
Hello, Where did you get the ferry plug? I can’t find it with that part number.
Hello, I have a 1999 International 4700 DT466E. The problem is that it takes a while to start the next day. After it starts, it runs fine throughout the day without any issues. What could it be?
Man it should l be fng criminal for somebody to design something like the 466,e
Any help dt466 its crank but no starts
Was it not cranking before? Or just cranking and not starting?
I'm having the exact same problem. I bought the truck recently but it had been sitting for a few years. I check the perry ball and it is present but the oil is really dark. I haven't changed the oil yet.
Change the glow plugs.... dead glow plugs means no start .
got to get fuel in their right?
Did you have to time the hpop when you install it back
Nope - just push it back on and bolt it back up. The gears just mesh together easily.
