- Kind of a short video this week because what do you know if you buy a cheap SD card it will eventually go kaput lol I lost a whole days worth of footage cutting this video short. Anyways , these are some moments from our slow living Fall and Winter here in South East Alaska! This one's pretty cooking heavy so I hope you enjoy!

Hey I’m Loui, A couple months ago my mom and I and our two dogs Lady and William arrived on an island in Southeast Alaska. We had never been to Alaska and after traveling almost the entirety of the US we decided that it was no better place own property. After a bunch of research we settled on a a 3 acre plot of land and bought it sight unseen. As you may know winter is approaching us and living in vehicles was not going to cut it for the cold season so we are renting out a cabin while we wait on building a driveway to access and live on our new property next year. We are SO excited to spend our first winter getting to know the people and land in our new home and share it all with you. My grandson loves oatmilk ❣️❣️❣️ I will be making some today. I have made almond milk but OMG what a savings. Thanks again 😃 and I just love how you two support each other. ❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯 My oldest daughter lives on the property with me and my middle daughter is building her tiny house here too. Building together is more than sticks and bricks. Blessings ladies 💯🤗💯
How do you make Almond milk? My son had to stop drinking cows milk since it caused severe psoriasis flare-ups, but he likes smoothies w/Almond milk. It's one of the ways I get him to take in more fruit instead of processed sugar.
@@LG-kx8xl I blend raw almonds in water and use cheesecloth to strain it. I can get fancy too and add honey, agave or a little vanilla whatever taste you want to give it.
I gotta try making almomd milk when I can get my hands on some almonds!!

Oh my goodness! Definitely keep your content moving in this direction. I enjoyed the building of the model and cooking from scratch. Hey! we’ve mostly been trying to acclimate to this new environment as we’ve only been here a few months,but trust there is lots of traveling and adventures here in AK in the works! Sometimes it’s nice to slow down tbh. We’ve been traveling for so long it can’t hurt to take a moment to be present in our current environment! Thanks for watching!

I buy bulk raw cashews online and I make cashew milk/ vegan cashew cheesy pasta/ cashew nacho sauce (not vegan but enjoy some vegan food) and it’s healthy 😋 also Alaska cashews are EXPENSIVE lol
