Hello, people! Here is the "Havel Lender" Jens from Germany! Thank you very much for your help on my channel access! You have my video "mega Trestle" on your channel listings and prompted a lot of hits in the USA! My absolute favorite country! If I can do something for you, please let you know! Greetings from Elstal at Berlin in Germany! Jens
I’m proud to say that 90% of my collection is made in Germany. My sound car from 1994 still works to this day unlike the sound boards in engines I have that we’re made in China.
im sad it went bankrupt i guess right after this video was made but at least there legacy lives on heck one of its own trains appeared in the floogals episode train set i watched it and it was great and a full circle moment to see lgb back and living on its one of my favourite kids shows with this being my all time favourite floogals episode
I just came across this video........appreciate shadowvfx posting it. Unfortunately, the video's comment at the end states "LGB a company with a bright future" but soon after they went into bankruptcy but luckily Marklin bought it. Even though Marklin has their own approach to the large scale trains, I'm super glad they are continuing the LGB line.......better than having it disappear totally. Actually I'm pretty impressed with their new production of LGB locomotives, but I'm not keen on their mfx dcc decoder technology used in their locomotives. Wish they would convert back to using Massoth electronics, decoders, the mainstay of LGB successful baseline. As a retiree and LGB hobbyist for over 30 years, I now buy, sell and upgrade LGB locomotives with dc/dcc power/sound decoders. See my LGB line of locomotives for sale at: www.olddominionrailways.com You'll find lots of neat sounding locomotives there including the latest Marklin/LGB #23131 Grizzly Flats "Chloe" narrow gauage steam locomotive with an installed Soundtraxx Tsunami2 dc/dcc power/sound system.........super neat!
Additionally I've just started posting videos of some of the LGB upgraded locomotives I sell on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/5GESRYzKNKM/v-deo.html The LGB Chloe is the first one posted yesterday.........check her out!
Sorry, the correct link for my UA-cam videos of LGB locomotives with installed dc/dcc power/sound systems is located at: ua-cam.com/video/cPJpT2umZBM/v-deo.html
If you consider that the sort of commitment that goes into this particular scale then its not a rich mans toy it simply means that you've decided on the long time commitment to that scale and know it will be expensive (due to its sheer size and quality)so you'll build as much as you can by yourself and save until you have the money for the model, any garden railway is going to be expensive compared to an ho or oo or even 0 gauge its up to you....and how much you are prepared to a) make and B) save :)
I have an outdoor railway and so far I have an oval of track, 2 locomotives, 3 wagons and a lot of concrete and I've spent less than 250 pounds (Great Britain) I buy ip engineering easykits there great value for money
Aah yes so many of my childhood memories watching one of my favourite train vids absolutely classic
I received my first LGB set from my wife and family in 1986. It’s still up and running in 2021
Huh over 35 years and it still going awesome bro
Still the best trains running strong no broken parts LGB Quality
I love toy train but this one is improving love the sound ifate and smoke and light and good quality I am loving everything good job LGB
Took my train out of a box and after ten years of doing nothing, everything still worked like a charm. Pure quality.
The current LGB is still so good. It is a shame that it is so difficult to get in the UK. Thank you for sharing this video.
I love these videos more then any other video I've watched on youtube
I still have this video on VHS from 2003!
It's a bit sad to know that they went bankrupt.
I find the layouts very interesting that include not only electric locomotives, but the overhead electric wires that go with it.
