Haha same here but the behind the scene videos come out about once a month! The release date, I heard in an all access live video, was anticipated to be in late 2024. Maybe November or December.

No movie gets a release date until the major filming at least is in the can. They may announce it before the post production is over.
@@digitalnomad9985 I believe they’ve wrapped filming months ago. On their social media, it seems like all the stars are back home. It’s not unusual to have at least a spring 2025 at this point. In the post production.

Well every movie is shit on location. That is not a big deal
Some are shot on sound stages so not all are done "on scene".

I still have yet to read the books, but this seems well worth watching.
The books are terrific. It's a slightly odd series of books in terms of structure: the third novel tells the Arthur story from beginning to end and the two remaining books are further stories set during Arthur's reign, with 'Grail' having a lot of similarities to Stephen Lawhead's third Song of Albion novel. I presume seasons two and three will blend the final three books together. 'Merlin', the second book in the series, being told in season one, might well be my favourite.
The books have been tied as my favorite books of all time (tied with Lawhead’s Song of Albion series) for three decades! They’re fabulous and in the same vein as Tolkien and Lewis.

So I subscribed to the daily wire site and they sent me a free tumbler as a welcome gift. The tumbler was made in China. Absolutely ridiculous, total joke.
It would be cool to have The DailyWire do something with Neil Oliver, much like his UK show, Coast, where he tours around the coastal areas of the UK. Could do a US version.
This is something one should see weeks or months AFTER the movie comes out. It kind of takes the magic away from it knowing that down parkas kept the actors warm between scenes and a multitude of vans were in the parking lot.
New Line Cinema did this before the release of the Hobbit movies.

Not for me. These are small snippets. As someone who’s never read the books, I get hints about what the story’s about but not enough to spoil anything for me, which only entices me to watch the series when it comes out and find out! These are only pieces of a puzzle, they may seem like they’ve formed a picture, but the puzzle is not yet complete. With post-production, it will become a complete puzzle and a magnificent picture
Disagree, it’s making me look forward to the show even more.
Then don't watch it.... watch it after it comes out

Reading the books it makes sense. Elfin, Merlin’s grandfather, trained his Celtic warriors with the Romans stationed at Hadrians wall so they could defend themselves when the Romans left. By this point we’re several generations removed but there are vestiges of the Roman influence. Merlin is part Atlantean and he and his mother’s side are essentially immortal (or at least, natural death from age is rare in the books. Mostly death from sickness or war).

@@jacksparrow9227 yes. Romans left quite a lot of stuff behind when they went homs.
@jacksparrow9227 Armor was passed down from father to son in these times. Also the skilled craftsmen, such that existed at the time, would have learned from the Romans. In the books, the cities and small kingships in southern England were more Romanized than the kingships in Wales and Northern England. There's a variety to the culture. Of course it wasn't called England yet.

Considering the production quality and the way the directors and showrunners have adapted the source material in this case, it's likely going to be better than ROP and other fantasy shows made by Amazon and Netflix in recent years.
