It's like when surveys ask if one approves of the direction in which the country is heading or whether President Biden is doing a good job -- both the Left and the Right could honestly answer "no," but for very different reasons.
True. Biden felt like a compromise pick on the Democrats part. He was like bringing Coca Cola to a cook out, it is no one's favorite soda, but most people will drink it. It's my jab at just how ridiculous the politics have been getting and how unprofessional and immature it has gotten. I am like Keenan sitting back watching a show take place and laughing at both parties. At the end when it said you still don't get it. It just means you cannot exactly tell what political party they're part of. Yet, the public in this heat of politics are trying to make guesses and get on the defense or attack on someone for being either republican or democrat. Plus since trump been in office the republicans have been the most confused. They don't know if they stand with trump or not and are known to be flip floppers. "I grew up in Ohio; so I've been playing this game my whole life." This whole skit was freakin' brilliant. And, yeah, context is everything.
So with Biden being more center than most Dems would like, and further left than republicans would like, everyone dislikes him. Which is a sign of a good compromise. If no one is happy, it's a good compromise.

Poverty matters comparably to race.

@@thrawncaedusl717 also no affirmative action is basically the only conceivable policy that harms poor white people, who it barely harms it actually harms Asians who overachieve more per capita and are limited by it.
The vast vast majority of programs target poverty directly which tends to help black people more because more are impoverished.
And there’s no such thing as a CRT textbook.
@@Souledex Critical Race Theory: an Introduction, Third Edition is what I consider to be the CRT textbook (though I may have actually read second edition). Any quotas hurt the poor more than the rich, because the system was already biased towards the rich. Meaningful reform focused on addressing poverty (which helps poor white and Black people) is what I want, but most laws that overtly address race do disadvantage poor white people because they are not designed to control for class as well as race.
I am hopeful that this is a growing pain. The “age of information” has given more people a voice than ever before in history; it was inevitable that there would be some conflict at first. If we can get past the initial vitriol, we will genuinely be in position to make positive change that previously would have been impossible (and yes, education is a key part of that, but it needs to be focused on understanding people, including/especially those who are wrong, as much as facts).

He's not out chasing solo films that don't quite translate to the big screen. He has a venue to create memorable characters of fixed duration and seems to have such savvy in doing it. I don't recall him breaking character a lot like so many SNL cast do. Lots of respect for the guy.

I written the skit. It's political... but I am not republican or democrat. I just think it was really ridiculous to see both parties go after each other when trump was president. It was like watching immature kids argue. democrat's would say it's easy to spot a republican because they don't believe in science and the vaccine... I made it a game show and made 2 people guess republican or not and it's because it's not easy to the point where even a person that was part of the republican's party is no longer part of it.
