Thanks perfect timing. I am tired of paying high prices for 5 star at Bali. Most are foreign owned a greedy post COVID. There are so many 4 star at $80 - $120 a night that are excellent value for money such as this Hotel. Have a great time living the dream in Bali !
Totally agree, We are always looking for good value, We believe you don't need to pay high prices for accommodation and stay tuned in coming months , We will show some good value options. This hotel ticked our good value box, Of course you can find fault with any hotel but there was no deal breakers with this hotel. Did we say GOOD VALUE.

We stayed at Kuta Beach Club in 1987, our first time in Bali, Tommy was the manager, lovely hotel
I'm sure alot changed in Bali since then.
KBC is still going and the owner still lives on the property.

Much changed with hotel? I know the front 3 story accommodation close to pool is recent. Mall out front just got done before covid.

Hi guys and thank you so much for all your videos. We stayed at Kuta Beach Club for years then it changed to Sol. We stayed there with our children and grandchildren and found the towels and sheets were on the grey side and breakfast wasn’t as good as it used to be. Our room was always #300 with the rest of the family in following rooms. Please, could you give us your update on the room as we would love to go back and stay there again. We visit Bali 2 -3 times a year 2-3 weeks at a time. Once again thank you and great following you.

Hi Nick, Thank you for your support and kind words. We have spoken to many people and the general vibe was KBC was better managed than Sol Melia ( typical big resort company). We actually stayed just before it turned back to KBC but just went back lately and walked through and noticed few maintenance things were getting done. (Saying that ill give Sol some lee way as it was shut for over 2 years, in which alot of hotels suffered) The sheets were good, Towels were ok but i would expect if we give KBC some time they will get upgraded.
Saying that room was excellent and for the money we paid it was hard to beat if you have a few people with you.
We just stayed at 6 different hotels and KBC still rates highly for what we paid.
We found breakfast excellent but if your staying at 1 place for a period of time, you seem to get over brekky but since covid breakfasts in bali in hotels have gone down in our opinion. Alot have moved away from buffett to A la carte.
If you can get it for the right price give it another go, Weather it will be same as old KBC but for the price is excellent value for money.
We were very happy with it as any negatives were not deal breakers for us and it fitted our good value for money.

@@BecMattAdventures thank you for your time, but in Bali it doesn’t matter 😂😂. Yes, the last time we stayed was Feb 2020 when we had to leave due to Covid. It was Sol at that stage, we’ve been going elsewhere once boarders opened but KBC was our favourite for us and family. I do hope Pool towels, Sheets and bath towels have been upgraded since 2020. Love that little Rib restaurant you ate at, fantastic food and cheap.

@@user-jw1em7wb6e Give it another go, i'm sureif we give KBC some time, it hopefully be the KBC of old, It really did tick the boxes for us.

First stayed at KBC in 1987, stayed a few times since. We'll be there in late June, can't wait. We got a bargain price of $50 per night..

Wow that's we love to hear at $50 a night that fits our good value, Love people finding great deals and $50 is a bargain.

@@BecMattAdventures they even allowed us to drop off a bag to leave there on our way to the airport in January. We leave it at our usual hotel normally but we thought we'd ask KBC while we were in Bali....yes, no problem. Made it so easy for us.

Planning on flying to Bali on March 12th - will stay for seven nights. Just did a price check on Kuta Beach Club - it's AUD$85 per night. Also checked Jesen's Inn 2 - it's AUD$30 per night. So will stay at Jesen's. Just wondering about how good the WiFi is at Kuta Beach Club? Even some of those bigger hotels can have weak WiFi. At Jesen's the internet is very reliable.
Wifi was good, no issues but i usually have my local sim, so didn't use wifi alot but was good when we used it. James i plan to go to Jesens inn later in the year as i just had a quick look at it when we were over there and looked good value. and will try it out late this year. At $30 how can you go wrong. At $85 is too much for sol , Bargain $50 to $55.

@@BecMattAdventuresI should point out that Jesen's does have the odd flaw. For instance, the shower (which is over the bath) lacks a curtain or screen. This means whenever someone has a shower, water goes all over the floor. Very annoying. This was in room 5, which is in the eastern wing. Perhaps the rooms in the poolside wing may be different.
Also, the breakfast isn't big enough for some people. I met a bloke from Perth in Warung 99 who had this issue with the Jesen's breakfast. I suggested he try the big breakfast at Bemo Corner Coffee Shop. Saw him the next day - he was elated with the Bemo breakfast. So problem solved there.
We hear ya James, At $27 your always going to find some things not suitable to you, But hey what it lacks makes up for price. To me what you mention are not deal breakers and for $27 if u get a clean bed and aircon and a shower, Rest is just a bonus. Bemo corner big brekky have been on our videos, You carn't go wrong, We don't mind no brekky in price as some days we want something simple, in the room and if you want something flash or big then you go and choose where you want to eat. As to big buffett style , We always say after a week your even sick of that too. So we like that flexabilty.

Great review I have stayed at Dynasty before with the family looking for a cheaper option next time. Over 3 weeks looking at splitting between two different places I was thinking Kuta beach club and champlung mas in Legian. Have you stayed at Champlung Mas before and does it sound like a good split?

KBC is a great choice, highly recommend and great for a group. We have stayed in many hotels in Kuta and legian and as a group its top rated, Febris is another great hotel ( budget friendly) those be our top 2 for a group.
As to Legian champung mas is pretty good but we would recommend either
Baleka resort & spa or Three brothers bungalows both in legian and good position.
Our personal choice is Baleka, same same but different like KBC.
Both Three brothers and Baleka are price friendly and very good. Saying that champung mas is fine but we rate it lower to other 2. Our opinion only though.
Hope this helps do searches and price checks as they usually sit around $50 - $60 a night per room and are like KBC
We use multiple sites to get best deals but mains ones we price check are Agoda,Expedia, booking, and trip.com and always check hotel site sometimes they can be expensive or cheapest options.

@@BecMattAdventures excellent and thank you for your comprehensive advice, I have looked at three brothers before but not Baleka ill add that to the search list. We did look at Febris whilst at Dynasty and it is really good value!

@@BecMattAdventures another Question...have you stayed at Grand Inna (Truntum) as have found a good price there as well. I know its near KBC.
What room did you pick? Booked to stay here
We just choose the basic room Deluxe room garden view.
We asked to be out the back, due to the quietness. Our preference is anywhere out back, all same same. We have stayed on pool access, not for us but that's just a personal preference.

Thanks. We usually stay in South Kuta. But never stayed here. Very helpful.
Hope you enjoy it, As we did and would definitely go back, especially if there's a few in a group as it can handle the volume of people. We are South Kuta people as well.
so they ddnt renew the contract with them Glad they didnt shame they changed the hotel from what it was to what it is now. Prefer the old version
Hopefully it goes back to old ways, we enjoy it still. Great position and reasonable price. Always been happy there.

Not really, They do more Indonesian (Local) , Western Style breakfast.
