I remember 2 years ago I first time tinting with the super cheap tint and screw it all around hahaha and just by watching this tintstuff channel I've learn a lot about tinting. Now I've must say that I can tint way much better than I did 2 years ago with the exact tint. Thank you for all this knowledge sharing.
Right on. I'm not a pro but Ive tinted enough to be competent with it. Seems like I could always get Walmart (and some other cheaper films) brand to lay flat and look good but within a year or two the film fades and looks like a**
I am doing my Cadillac CTS Tomorrow Rear Window & back door windows. i have never tinted on any thing in my life and cant wait to get it busy and you have been the only UA-camr I watch for tinting windows! I will be videoing it to post to my Channel in the next month. Just working on a few personal things for work. Thank you for posting. SafetyMichael of CorvetteSuperCars.
I buy EVERYTHING in my life from Walmart and only Walmart so I will be using this video to start my tinting business. (I don't have my own car to tint because Walmart doesn't sell cars. But they do sell clothes so all my fashions come from Walmart).
Thanks for the cool video and everyone’s funny comments. Y’all have inspired me to return my film and and pay someone else to do it! I would’ve been a mess
I tried doing my windshield yesterday with the same 20% film from walmart and I didn't have as good results as yours my film did not want to shrink at all maybe becuase the windshield is more curved but idk it did not want to shrink at all
I know it’s an old video but with all honesty, fresh outta high school 13yrs ago. Did what I could back then. Did a few jobs for myself family members and friends. They didn’t care it was fading tint 🤣 it was getting the tiny on what counted. No heat gun 3 layer rear windows and that was good enough. Good times
I just used this yesterday on my car. I think for $10 tint on both front windows and rear quarter windows its not bad. Only thing I hate about the kit id the squeegee that comes with the kit. I ended up using a bondo card instead.
TintStuff i got the idea from your video lol. Thank you for the informative videos. Thats how ive learned to tint the windows on my cars for the fun and learning.
Very much enjoyed the video. Just something to know, I've used Black Magic tint on two of my vehicles. This tint worked great for first time use. In fact it lasted for 13years and I just removed few months ago. Worked great in summer using 20% around expected two front doors using 35%. Pretty cool first time experience.
Does anyone recommend to do the same with a front windshield? I just wanna gets some tints I’m my car and not willing to pay a lot on a professional job. Already did my side windows and they came out pretty good
Hey Man I Seen All Your Videos Of The Black Magic Tint I Wanna Tint My Car It’s my Daily It dosent Always Sit In The Sun I Wanna Tint It 5% and 35% it’s a coupe do u recommend it I’m on a tight budget 🤔 let me know please thx
Hi I just had mines done and I realized the outside of my tinted windows were never washed n cleaned. How did the shop prep the window for installation if they did not clean it or are they not doing the proper way? The tint has some debris in it and I'm going to bring it back to them to fix.
I'm new to tinting and got the black manic tint at Wal-mart as well. Do you have to use a heat gun? You only put the tint on the outside to get the perfect measurement of the inside right? You placed the film upside down on the outside, shrunk it, peeled off the backing revealing the sticky side which you then adhered to the inside? I'm hung up on the heat gun, it didn't call for that on the instructions..
At the end of the video you make a type of fist. Almost like you're holding your debit car out to tap or pass it to someone. Thats how you want to hold your knife brother! Also shorten the blade while cutting. Fallow those two things and you will get better accuracy cutting stuff!
ha yup! feel free, I got cheap RGB led strips 2 on each side. cheap color acoustic foam padding which helps break up the white a little more and also acts as a soft pad if I rest a door against the wall. 8pk of t5 bulbs. for the sides. all bought on Amazon
Ever since they marked my road I've been paranoid about road workers. Its not the noise. I just want the privacy. I wouldn't be able to handle knowing someone is out there for 8 to 10 hours a day for a whole month. I hope these do the job plus I got headphones for my sanity.
"if your buying this from Walmart... professionalism is probably not your top priority"....*insert Chris Farley "that is correct" scene from Billy Madison.
yea I hear ya, cutting on the inside would turn out cleaner if everything went well but I just wanted the extra time to try and cut on the outside since it was a one shot deal with the kit. Also a bit more relatable for people actually trying this for the first time.
Where do you go to buy quality tint that is wide enough for the back window? I used the Walmart tint for my side windows but there's nothing on my rear window because it wasn't wide enough.
I wouldn’t use this tint again. I tinted my windows with this black magic tint. It looked great initially but it turned purple after a year. Ended up replacing with 3M tint and it still looks great after 4 years.
How do you cut tint so straight? I've watched ton of your videos and you cut your tint to shape so effortlessly, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. But when I tried, my cuts are super wavy and I can't round off corners to save my life.
Years of practice but even my end cut on this back glass trailed away. most of the time there are guides such as the side seals or top edge of the glass. then on the back glass you usually have at lease 1/8" to 1/4" or more of tolerance. my hand is reasonably shaky but over time you can learn to compensate for that. when I was first learning a guy handed me a knife and a piece of film and had me cut 1/8" strips for a while. stuff like that helps get you comfortable with cutting.
Tried my first 2 window today with these I think I did alright for a first timer definitely not good enough for a real customer car lol Im a 16 year old trying to make this a career do you have any things I would need to know?
There is plenty to know, I have lots of video on the channel going thru different things so check out those and any other channels. try to stick to one method till you get familiar with the process. too many different things can make it harder. Practice with a less expensive film till you feel a bit more comfortable. more expensive films really aren't more user friendly.
TintStuff : thanks man i will try my best To get better , I texted u a couple question on ur instagram would mean a lot if you could help me , if not its fine
If I remember back to hanging with the cool kids who had cars in early 1990s I believe they cut the film on the defroster line after installing. First you'd install one piece and cut to the line, then install the other and cut to the line again....Don't remember if the defrosters ever worked again, but it was Florida... Frost was just one of those made up stories our parents told to frighten us away from driving too far north.
😂 the main difference there is I've been tinting for a little over 10 years. The tint doesn't make the installer. Takes lots of practice but keep at it!
TintStuff I was worried about the hand cutting cuz I always had access to a plotter when I used to tint semi frequently, I figured I would just pick up the shrinking again no problem. The side windows were perfect but I creased the back window in three places lol. Luckily it’s on my old beater civic that had tint so bad you couldn’t see out the windows, so it’s a big improvement anyways.
I’m literally going to buy some Walmart tint. my digital wall clock is keeping me awake watching this right now. It’s hard to sleep it’s so bright. 20% Should do. That would be great content if you could show me how to do that with the GoPro 😂
Not really necessary to use dryer sheets. You can wet shrink that pretty easy. Also it’s easier to seam it after it’s already installed. Just make sure you have a fresh blade.

Can you make a video doing a walmart 2 piece but the film rolled vertically [][] not horizontal like this video?

I remember learning to tint with Walmart tint when I first started over 13 years ago. Oh the memories 😂

starting with orielys tint and it looks dope as hell. i need to get better at cuting my lines but other then that i did it pretty good. no bubbles

Ive tinted 2 of my cars with this. Its held up really well over the years.
Thank you I was just going to buy some for temporary tint , good timing tintstuff!!
Who really is going to do this? Me!! It looks good enough for my purpose. Thanks dude. I'm following your guides for tinting my windows.
Used this to create a windshield visor. Looks good to me and was super cheap. Couldn’t be happier

wait which side of the film is on the outside window cos I see you peeled off a clear plastic part off it before you applied it inside the car??
Please do an update on this after a month of parking lot exposure lol
This tint film will turn gold or silver like a chrome mirror finish lmao

just curious on the point of shrinking the film with the heat gun? what's the purpose of that?
the film is flat and needs to fit the curve of the glass

How is it holding after all this time? I want to tint my front two windows
@@mariocr97 I used Walmart 20% on my truck probably 7 years ago and it still looks great. BUT, I do leave it parked in my garage a lot of the time.
