I bought the original one and is fine. But the new one is so much better, considering it can handle more notebooks which is a win for me and I can change them, put cards and money if I wanted to, put stuff on the back pocket and so much more. I have yet to write anything on the notes yet but already... its amazing!!! It checks a lot of boxes for me that I wasn't expecting but am very and gladly pleased by it.
Hi there! I own the A5 Field Journal and from the beginning the front and back cover was "bumpy". I reached out to Lochby and they told me that there is a plastic sheet to give the canvas material more structure and that I shall press it down with some books and it should resolve. It did get better but after 2 more years it became worse. I can still use it and I understand that they use premium materials. But still due to this bumpy plastic sheet it does not lay flat and does not allow to write in comfortably. So I am hesitant to buy the mini field journal. What is your opinion? Do you think mine just happens to be a rare material issue? How about your journals, do they stay flat? It is stored in a dry place by the way. Greetings from Vienna, Janette
Thank you for the video. My brown mini Lochby arrived today!

What is the light that you referenced in the video?
Thanks for having me on the channel 😀 This is such a great piece of gear!
What is your straight edge and where did you get it?
Would love to see links to some of the accessories he uses.
The ruler is a KNAFS Aluminum Ruler + Knife Angle Finder
Love it!! I have the original Lochby and it's great!
Its a nice video, but the background music is too overpowering & loud. Please reduce the volume of bgm.
