Finished the video - best one yet Jesse!! I'm reading now Can't hurt me and it's impressive. So useful of you to share the books that shaped your current mindset. And so good to see that we're reading very similar literature, at the same pace (1 book every 10 days for me) :) In case you haven't, check out these business-related books: - Rich Dad Cashflow Quadrant - One Page Financial Plan - The psychology of money (a bit entry level but still very solid) - The science of getting rich - Factfulness - Shoe Dog Other than that: - The power of now - The subtle art of not giving a f*ck - Born a Crime (trevor noah) - Why we sleep - An astronauts' guide to life on earth - Guns, Germs & Steel - All books by Yuval Harari
I'm so grateful to be able to see your journey, you make me say ME TOO!!! As I'm identifying with your way of being, so pretty much you're saying from your side "come here, life is wonderful at this side, come join me at the party!" So here I goo! Dreaming big, owning my life, 1% at a time, compounding every day and inspired
Dude I really love your videos for real and one thing I increased in my life is the amount I read I have a great list of books and thought I’d hear the same old , the great investor warren buffet list … but honestly I haven’t heard of 6 out of 10 of these and just added them all to my Amazon cart ! Keep up the great works man
THANK YOU!! Sharing the steps taken, experiences encountered and tools used during your journey is having a significantly positive impact on those who take the time to watch/absorb your videos. Personally, I've just added 10 new books to my must read list to help me on my journey because of this video. Again, THANK YOU!
your journey has been amazing. I have been following you across mostly TikTok for some time. the way you expose your videos is also very good. great job and motivational.
I love Libby! Cloud Library and Overdrive might also be available through your library! It's funny that you mention "How To Win Friends and Influence People" because when I read it a couple of years ago, I absolutely hated it. I read it because I wanted to learn how to genuinely be interested in people and what they had to say, but at the time I felt that the book was very much "fake it 'til you make it", which is what I was already doing and what was causing me a lot of stress at work. But I think my emotions and mentality have changed since then, so maybe I should read it again.
For sure try it again. One of the things I remember from the book is that a person’s name is the sweetest sound. So I try to remember peoples names now, and say their name while speaking to them. Or say at the end of the conversation…… hey, it was nice talking to you RakiOsrez 😁
SO excited to see this video posted today!! This is exactly the video I had hoped you'd make, and I even mentioned it in a comment on one of your videos. You said you were on it....and here it is! Thank you for taking the time to share the reads that have been especially influential for you in your journey. Coming off a hard year, and your videos have already helped me start to chart a better path forward for me and my kids. Agree investing in yourself and educating yourself is so important. Looking forward to being inspired to take my dreams to the next level as I read/listen to these books! Thank you very much for sharing!
Just the kind of content I want to see before closing the day.. Inspiring.. Full of facts, how you started your journey and where you are .. That helps relate to what We can really achieve.. Thank you
Currently finishing up Can’t Hurt Me. Wow. I’ve started The Compound Effect and have purchased most of the books on this list now. Thanks for the video! Great work.
Love it, everyone has their group of books, definitely have some overlaps with your list. Never split the difference really made me do some re thinking... keep it up
I haven't read these books yet, but this is how I live my life and how I am currently become a Cardiovascular surgeon and at the same time making more money per month then my higher-ups
LOVE the list! The big 1 for me that you didn't list is "Thick & Grow Rich"; just like HTWFAIP, it was written nearly 100 years ago but is so unbelievably relevant to today! Reading these types of books is exactly which led me on my path to sobriety, living a happy life full of abundance. For sure was a huge part in me conquering 2 huge Bucket List items; running the Boston Marathon & giving a TED Talk, which I accomplished both within a 10 day span in 2019. BUT it all started by reading 28 books total while in rehab for 7months, which also helped me write my own book (Stop Thinking Like That: No Matter What) that went on to become a national bestseller in multiple Amazon categories (link below). I quoted a few of these books because they were truly the reason as to why I was living the life I was (I read 4/10 on your list & now plan to go buy the rest @ a B&N thats going outta biz so 50% off! Perfect timing lol). Like you said, these books, along w/endless inspiring UA-cam videos, made me dream bigGER & taught me that I truly can do anything I put my mind to like mom always used to say! lol Anyways, stoked I came across this video tonight as I am writing out my 2022 goals for myself & my business! ua-cam.com/users/GemRippers This book absolutely will help anyone who's suffering right now in any aspect of life. You may be lost and hopeless now, but I promise you, reading this will get you back on your feet ready to attack life! If not, I'll give you your $10 back! 😉 www.amazon.com/Stop-Thinking-Like-That-Matter/dp/1984383515
thumbs up, jesse! 2022 going to be a good year with all this hardwork and good books! meet you at the other side someday! been watching your videos every time you post ‘em!
I would add ryan holiday's books + how to grow rich by Napoleon Hill: definitely one of the best mindset books that shifts your mindset in what matters, reaching (life) goals that you construct
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is an excellent read! Also, LOVE How to Win Friends and Influence People. It’s so much more than the title! Excellent for people in management too.
How to win friends is really one of the best books i read ever and I recommend it every time people ask me for books, which is sadly not too often. But read it, keep it in the CR and reread it as often as you can :)
WOW!!!! This is THE best video you put out! You are such an inspiration and you have totally inspired me. I am a pretty motivated person and needed just that extra little push to go harder to reach my goals and YOU just did that!!!
I read Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins back in the 90's and that's a great read to help understand how your brain works. Love your content, very inspiring for me personally.
6 out of the 10 books I have read and are in my top 10! Will read the other 4 :) Another great book from Jocko Willink (Extreme Ownership) is Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual worth a read! Keep up the great work Jesse
So there is a project released 6months ago super undervaluated, its a project that forces holders to be active and in every transaction adds $CAKE to a vault, and stake it. And will share among holders at the end of the cycle. Its rly different project. Right now this vault is over 178.000 $CAKE, 2 months ago was like.. 50k cake. Its called Cake Monster, its on the bsc.
Do you happen to do like a mentoring program? I currently oversee 30 restaurants as a director of operations but I have this big dream to be a ceo and possibly owner someday. I keep watching all the videos and reading all the books that I can to help get me there, but finding a mentor I feel would help also
I don't, honestly there are I'm sure some good mentorship programs out there but be careful as there's a ton of bad ones. I'd say just constantly grow your skillsets and understand your value as the director of operations. How do you produce an ROI for whoever you work for? How much of an ROI do you produce? That for one allows you to assess how easily you can get a raise (I taught this to my brother in law and he went from the lowest paid guy at this company to the highest paid in 2 years). It also allows you to identify opportunities for you to grow into new positions. Businesses have all sorts of problems, get good at solving the biggest ones and you'll have the ability to hold whatever position you want and everyone will want you to work for them. It also allows you to perfect your craft working for someone else before taking the risk of striking it out on your own. Good luck! Also if you guys ever want to do some marketing tests, I actually started a marketing company for restaurants early in my journey. We only ever signed up one restaurant but were able to make them an extra almost $200k a year through optimizing their Google my business SEO so they showed up more in the search results. It's been pretty consistent over the last 2 years working with them. We've always wanted to scale it up but me and my partner are both pretty busy and just haven't yet. But if you're interested let me know🥳
Hey Jessie, I've been following you for a while and I was curious if you had looked at the project police and thieves? (LOOT) I threw down a few $100 at it seems pretty cool so far but was wondering what your opinion of this project is?
great suggestions my man. I will make sure to read them all. But I strongly recommend the book: The science of getting rich by Wallace D. Wattles. I have listened to it over 50 60 times and over and over again.
Hey Jesse, any chance you could do a video stating everywhere you've still got money invested? You do lots of 'I've tried X' type videos, but we never know which ones you're staying in long term! Like are you still using pancake swap? Hector DAO? Would be much appreciated! And an update on earnings from them
About a month ago I got rear-ended in a Ford F-450 and I apologized to the other driver for braking so abruptly even though it was legally his fault. Great example, ownership is very empowering.
That's a good question! How to win friends, Atomic Habits, The 10x Rule, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Crushing It, Extreme Ownership, The Compound Effect, Can't Hurt Me, Contagious, Never Split The Difference. Maybe? Really no bad order to read them though
