Bjork is her own genre. She's one of those few musicians/vocalists who is just driven by a weird and wild creative energy. She's Icelandic, so her accent is very unique and her pronunciation really adds to her unique style.
I once met Bjork in a tiny nightclub in lower Manhattan New York. Myself and a friend asked her if she was Bjork and she replied "Sometimes I am, sometimes I am not."
The first time I ever heard Bjork's voice, she was the vocalist for The Sugarcubes and the song was Birthday. I said out loud, "WTF is this? and how can I get more of it?"
The Sugarcubes are really quirky, but they have a vibe that's quiet cool.part of that is because Bjork is strangely unique with her creativity and vocal style.✌out

So weird....back in the day I never thought of this as a particularly weird song, this always felt as the most normal pop song Björk ever did. Only now that I hear it for the first time in quite a few years, I notice how weird it really is. Weird in a good way, she is just so unique in everything she does. And that voice....no one else on this planet sings like her.
your coverage is brilliant! There's a reason why Coldplay, Missy Elliot, Radiohead, and RZA love Bjork so much. Even more, each album tells a story that is a prelude to the next album. not only is her voice of a mischievous angel, her songs are sonically out of this world!
Definitely, definitely, definitely, uncertain, heh! "Human Behaviour" was the lead single from Bjork's 1993 debut album, appropriately titled Debut. She began her career as the lead singer for the Icelandic alt-rock band The Sugarcubes. Check out their song "Birthday" from 1988 when you can. "They saw a big raven \ It glided down the sky \ She touched it \ Ohhh! Ohhh!"
Bjork enchanted me from minute zero. Such a great song. I mean "there is definitely no logic to human behavior" says it all. The whole Debut album is worth a listen. So glad I live in a world with Bjork in it. Thanks for the review.
Love Bjork. You should definitely, definitely, definitely also check out Emiiana Torrini. She has a similar accent as she is Icelandic Italian, but a softer voice. My favourite Emiliana Song is a little known one called 'Weebles Fall' but she has done loads of original stuff and loads of amazing covers (to varying degrees of success). She also sang Gollum's song from Lord of the Rings.
She began in a punk-inspired band called the Sugarcubes (80s). I remember playing the hell out of their first CD, Life's too Good. They only produced three recordings and then Bjork went on her own. As you can probably tell by her name, she's not from the US (Iceland). If you're into the avantgarde and unusual, she's the girl for you. Go watch her videos. They are just as unusual as her music and singing. Good stuff.

Only now that I hear it for the first time in quite a few years, I notice how weird it really is. Weird in a good way, she is just so unique in everything she does. And that voice....no one else on this planet sings like her.
Watch the video for this. It's equally trippy, to go along with the music and her voice- it really does go all together.
Pagan poetry is a must.
You guys are bringing back a lot of memories with Bjork, Cake, Butthole Surfers, NIN, Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, Primus, etc.
her work with The Sugarcubes was also great. She's a unique talent.
your coverage is brilliant!
With Bjork, you definitely need to watch the videos.
All Is Full of Love, is my fave Bjork song, the video by Chris Cunningham is superb also. One of my fave songs of all time.
I really liked her too when she was in the sugarcubes. Such a unique voice. React to SUGARCUBES - HIT for old school Bjork
The video is mandatory to this song, any Bjork song!
I've been a fan since the Sugar Cubes, there are some great songs from that era.
I love this song uncut live.
Björk, Icelands gift to humankind.
Such an .. strange and interesting artist she is.
I’m so excited for you guys to get into bjork.
Good stuff.
