I’ve seen Prodigy 4 times live in the UK. It is one of only a few gigs I’ve been to where I have been able to both hit the mosh pit and then move along to the rave area. You normally notice with their gigs that the fans of a few different music genres are in attendance. You can easily see a 90’s raver chatting with a punk rocker and a techno head whilst getting a beer 🍺 😁✌️.
The album this is from, Fat of the Land, was absolutely essential in the UK in the late 90s. Prodigy were great, from their rave roots through to the later heavier stuff. Brilliant live as others have said. Transcend genres and boundaries.
These boys helped shape a rave generation without having what some considered to be a "main room/tent/arena" sound but the amount of artists that took inspiration from the Prodigy is insane. Sadly Keith Flint is no longer with us, a truly humble, thoughtful, and inspiring man, and so unlike his stage persona. RIP Keith, rest assured your sounds will live on long after we're all out of here. Guys, you need to listen to Breathe, absolute banger of a track.

Wipeout 2097 for me got me into this music. I can still see the French futuristic racetrack with the rain and industrial cyberpunk feel with this song. Can’t pull the thread of that game without this song to me. Good memories.
Love the Reaction, Lex totally getting the vibe. The old raves were 1000s of people all dancing and jumping about with mad energy. The rave scene was like a long summer of love with a punk aesthetic. One of my favourite groups. Lexes vibe kicked in bang on time.... you should check out more of their stuff. 'Charly' was my intro to them, released in 1991 but i am sure i heard it in 1990! Certainly weren't 'packed like sardines' either.... we needed plenty of room to dance! EKTOS anyone?
Charly....wow, good man....im pretty sure the Americans are missing out on some absolute classics from this period....
One of my favorite bands ever!!!
I just LOVE this song and I love to see that Lex has also a really good time while hearing it.
Great reaction, massive hit in the UK back in the day. RIP Keith
This band live was pure class, mental energy. Saw them a few times, fond memories :)
The Kings of UK dance music. RIP Flinty!
I went to a small gig at a leisure centre with these guys and it was wild. Just a mass dancing free for all. Awesome.
Prodigy!!!!! Hell yes!!!!! Hey guys~ :)
RIP Keith - the prodigy one of the greatest live bands experienced together with Rammstein.
The album this is from, Fat of the Land, was absolutely essential in the UK in the late 90s. Prodigy were great, from their rave roots through to the later heavier stuff. Brilliant live as others have said. Transcend genres and boundaries.
The video for this takes the song next level.
They have an incredible catalogue. Seriously a legendary group. My suggestion for next of theirs to listen to would be "poison" or "breathe".
I GOT THE POISON
@@ominousparallel3854 I GOT THE REMEDY
My parents brought me a bootleg cassette of the prodigy as a kid, changed my life. Loved electronic music ever since.
This whole album is great.
Y0 lex is an absolute treasure shes rly feeling all these rock songs were throwing at her love to see it man.
Two more by Prodigy you need to peep is “Breathe” and “Smack my B up”.
They should do the video for the latter. ;)
/insert Leo DiCaprio Django meme here…
Oh man, I was hooked on this song way back, it was on a racing game for Playstation 1 lol. One of those instantly recognizable tunes.
If y'all are feeling REALLY adventurous see if you can find the unedited video for the song Smack My Bitch Up.
It only aired on MTV like two times. I happened to catch it one night in college and can still remember Kurt Loder introducing it with a content warning.
The Prodigy are kings of breakbeat music. React to: Breath, Their Law, Diesel Power, Time Bomb Zone, Omen, Smack my bitch up, Woodoo people
That's a solid list 👌
+Naranaya
+No good (start the dance)
+Charlie (because it's funny 😆)

Lex reminds me of a kid tasting candy for the first time when she hears something she likes. Love it.
Although not metal...metalheads love the prodigy
True.
Reliving my teenage music experience through you guys, was listening to this song in my bedroom when I was young and angsty
R.I.P Keith Flint
The amount of nights I had as a teenager high on something or other just dancing for hours on end to these guys. Such good memories.
PRODIGY "BREATHE" & "VOODOO PEOPLE"...NUFF SAID.
Lol Lex reacting is pretty much how i reacted too when i was in grade 6😄 Watching it on Rage here in Aus on a Saturday morning. Head boppin on the couch trying not to spill my corn flakes.
Excellent 👍🏻
Saw Prodigy and Faithless on the same bill in Cape Town in the late 90's. I have never ever felt bass like Prodigy live. Awsome Awsome night
If Lex had actual reacted to the music video, she might have literally set their trailer on fire
I remember mimicking Keith's mosh type of head gestures at clubs and waking up not just to a regular hangover, but to a relentless neck pain as well 😂
Break your format and watch it again, but with the original video! It's well worth it... 🤪
You cannot deny the greatness of this song!!!
Try "Smack My Bitch Up" by these guys, and you MUST watch the video!
Its smack my bitch up, come on man
@@Brurarum You're right, I fucked up, I was excited to see them do Prodigy and since you know the song, I'm sure you know the video and can you imagine Lex's reaction at the very end? I got ahead of myself
Yeah, probably best if they watch the official video rather than a lyric vid - they'd get something entirely different from just the lyrics!
Despite his image he was a wonderful human being. A friend was in a U.K. rap group that toured with the prodigy for a year. Keith Flint apparently watched every single warm up they did and was dancing off the stage like a nutter. Sweet man, loved music and going mental.
RIP the legend Keith Flint.
Oh my word, your reaction was me when I first heard this in the 90's. :) Thankyou for a happy memory.
I am a more Rock Metal kind of dude but was lucky enough to see them when they did the tour for the Omen album in Greece! We are talking about ambulances at the end of the show for the dozens of people that were dropping like flies.
Huge moshpits, closed of ceiling in the stadium and people had flares and stuff!!
GREAT TIMES!
Prodigy are simply awesome so much more of their tunes to watch you guys #RIP Keith
Wipeout 2097 for me got me into this music. I can still see the French futuristic racetrack with the rain and industrial cyberpunk feel with this song. Can’t pull the thread of that game without this song to me. Good memories.
I wanna take Lex out an pop a few tabs with her and listen to 90s techno…. She’d have loved it in my day…
Love the Reaction, Lex totally getting the vibe. The old raves were 1000s of people all dancing and jumping about with mad energy. The rave scene was like a long summer of love with a punk aesthetic. Prodigy definitely worth exploring more. Then try The KLF, and you have to watch the videos for all of these.
