One thing with aging i am 51 i am not shy around women anymore and i gained total confidence, i meet women here in Montreal but i dont want to invest myself because i really want to retire in the Philippines. I cant wait to meet Filipina they seem to be such nice and amazing women.

I’ve traveled extensively in Leyte and other islands UA-camrs don’t discuss. Follow her to Leyte. It’s a different world from Cebu and cities. Glad it seems she will introduce you to Leyte. I’m attracted to SE Asian countries for the authenticity of the cultures. I could find expats and western comforts in the West. Congratulations. There’s something for everyone

The first time I visited Shangri-la, it gave me a Hawaiian vibe. I believe their day use is cheaper this time than 10 years ago. More competition, I guess. Thanks!
@@CarefreeChrisagree, the foods are quite expensive at Shangrila. Talking about food, have you been to Marco Polo Hotel? Its the hotel on the mountain hill in Lahug overlooking the city. It's not a resort but loved their buffet, though, it's quite pricey. Check out their top floor restaurant. You've got a keeper there. Very sweet and smart. Goodluck!

We've stayed Shangri-La Mactan many times the past 20 years now. The grounds are kept immaculate the facility is always first class the beach is larger than it seems. There are a number of interesting quality activities for young children thorough adults. The resort hosts a number of first class restaurants as well. We enjoy the Ocean Wing it's a bit more expensive but a great value.
Just found your videos! Very encouraging and I can't wait to go to the Philippines. But I don't understand this.... You're in one of the most incredible and low-cost parts of the world but yet went to a luxury property that's $30 to get in, $10+ for an hour of each activity and a $43 lunch! Heh.
Well that didnt take you long as predicted hehehehe. Its a very target rich environment. I'm flying into Cebu this month so maybe I see you on the street. Im staying at Felicity Island Hotel. I originally told you Clockwork Orange but this new one has a 10/10 rating, free breakfast, shuttle to and from airport and $10 a day cheaper. I just got my new head camera to start recording for my channel. I was going to get your 360 but think I will wait for the next gen on that one. The way its focus is weird, sometimes things look big and then small and back and forth etc.
She just wanted to go on the slide, Kuya! Lol, but fun fact, I believe it is statute 52, ALL beaches in the PH unless a rare privately owned Island, are ALL open to the public! Meaning you have access to ALL waters, and ALL beaches, up until the beach turns to land that is owned by a property. So you can walk along all these beaches everywhere freely. However, you cannot just hop in a chair on the private resort. However, you could take a kayak and go from resort to resort and walk along the beaches, and swim in the waters, and that is law. Few people know that. Bottom line, you can use the waters and the beach up until the beach turns from sand into land, ANYWHERE, FOR FREE, in the Philippines! 🤘😃

I went to Plantation Bay too. It was 1800 but included lunch. I would say I liked Plantation a little more but both are nice. The beach at here was really nice
Yes, this resort is better than Plantation Bay beach wise, but like Chris, I also prefer Plantation Bay. Stayed 3 nights at Shangrila, loved the landscape and all, but prefers the Plantation Bay lay out. I can get to the water in seconds. They even have room on the water lagoon. But yeah Shangrila is a 5-star hotel in the Philippines, and there's one in Boracay, too.

I'm guessing that the lunch price included a one-day resort fee? Maybe next time check out the prices for various activities? SCUBA, Jet Ski, pool etc.

Rates of the listed activities are overpriced though...especially considering that guests (hotel occupants and day users) would already be paying for access to the property. Their golf offering is not even a standard 9-hole Par 3 course. Perhaps it's why I didn't see anybody engaging in those activities; and the schnorkelers probably brought their own gear. I think the white sand was imported as with most other resorts in the area.
My late mother's side of the family were also from Leyte. My 2 Aunts went to the beach, my one Aunt was wearing shorts underneath her bikini and a t-shirt underneath her bikini bra. That Aunt told me, she was about to lift and take off her shirt, the local guys mouth start to open up. The local women stared and start to gossip. So She stopped taking off her shirt and shorts. LoL 😂😆 that was back in the early 90's How time had changed now!

Chris is cool, joe is cool but when you look at romance and why it works guys take the lunch for example, the average wage daily of non agriculture workers in manila is 537 baht a day, the 2400 pesos meal was the cost of 3.5 days of work, by the time the day is over after another few meals and a hotel for the night she's at 2 weeks of pay. in local terms here in the usa, for a fast food worker making 16 a hour x 8 hours= 125 dollars, times 3 days= 375 usd. romance you seeing is when a rich man leaves the house which is infact cool. imagine your western date, you take her to a resort, gonna be over a hundred for sure for food and drink, then had dinner somewhere in a local resturant that night, thats gonna be around a hundred, then get a room for the night, gonna be over a hundred, your gonna have to come up with 4 days of a fast food workers money in the west to do this aka 400 bucks just for this lil date chris and joe had. im just giving some perspective, ''act right'' in women happens all over the world when stepping up in life style is offered, but how similar things really are cost wise and what you get for the cost at the end of the day. shout out to men, shout out to keeping it real.

Rates of the listed activities are overpriced though...especially considering that guests (hotel occupants and day users) would already be paying for access to the property. Their golf offering is not even a standard 9-hole Par 3 course. Perhaps it's why I didn't see anybody engaging in those activities; and the schnorkelers probably brought their own gear. I think the white sand was imported as with most other resorts in the area.
Agree. Really expensive but not bad for day use. The beach was nice and enjoyed the free snorkeling. I’d go back for a day.

My 2 Aunts went to the beach, my one Aunt was wearing shorts underneath her bikini and a t-shirt underneath her bikini bra.
That Aunt told me, she was about to lift and take off her shirt, the local guys mouth start to open up.
The local women stared and start to gossip. So She stopped taking off her shirt and shorts. LoL 😂😆 that was back in the early 90's

Not really. One of the downsides of Cebu City. No good beaches close unless you go to a resort

Chris is cool, joe is cool but when you look at romance and why it works guys take the lunch for example, the average wage daily of non agriculture workers in manila is 537 baht a day, the 2400 pesos meal was the cost of 3.5 days of work, by the time the day is over after another few meals and a hotel for the night she's at 2 weeks of pay.
in local terms here in the usa, for a fast food worker making 16 a hour x 8 hours= 125 dollars, times 3 days= 375 usd.
romance you seeing is when a rich man leaves the house which is infact cool.
imagine your western date, you take her to a resort, gonna be over a hundred for sure for food and drink, then had dinner somewhere in a local resturant that night, thats gonna be around a hundred, then get a room for the night, gonna be over a hundred, your gonna have to come up with 4 days of a fast food workers money in the west to do this aka 400 bucks just for this lil date chris and joe had.
im just giving some perspective, ''act right'' in women happens all over the world when stepping up in life style is offered, but how similar things really are cost wise and what you get for the cost at the end of the day.
