The things I loved seeing when watching Emmitt Smith run the ball was his Toughness, Patience, Vision, Balance, & he was also Versatile. That's what I think of when you mention Emmitt Smith, cause he wasn't the fastest or strongest or the most elusive RB, he was just a natural pure RB that was good at what he did, but Emmitt Smith just can't take all that credit & glory alone, cause he did run behind the best OL in the NFL, plus Big Moose, the full back, clearing Smith out many paths too!
The incredible thing about Emmitt Smith is that he was even better than all of the credit is given to him because there are things he did great that flew under the radar from his power running skills. His nose for the first down marker kept drive after drive after drive alive, which culminated in points and wins. His blocking was superb, and was the biggest weapon Dallas had when they beat Buffalo in that first Super Bowl, as he continual picked up those great blitzing linebackers of Buffalo, which gave Aikman that added extra time to hit Novacek with short passes to keep drives alive. The Cowboys won because of Emmitt. Without him the team’s offense was non existent.
I live in Dallas, and the Cowboys was the team in the 90's. I remember when we drafted Emmit, I said, who is the small guy, he sure shut my mouth. I miss those days.

I got to see Emmitt play in the 91-92 season at the LA Coliseum against the Raiders. It was Todd Marinovich against Troy Aikman. Emmitt scored three touchdowns and ran all over the Raiders.
For me I say it's Jim Brown because he ran for I think 12+thousand yards in seasons with only 12-14 games and I believe he only played 8 years. Yes, that's correct I said it. Still no one can take away what emmitt accomplished. He's definitely in my top 3.
Emmitt Smith was one of a kind. I love his interior and his self-drive. What a man. God bless that man. You can all do it and have the drive and a goal. Don't give up. Believe in the Lord you can do it

You’ll never fade Emmitt…never…one of the greatest…
Yes he was good, somewhere after Sanders, Brown, and Simpson .
@@rpena62, sure bud. Learn the game and watch film. He was his own type of player that played his way and it led to something none of those other guys were able to do.
@@MaddDogg316 to me he was better than those other guys there was something special about Emmett
Watching all these documentaries shows how many can come together and work for the same goal no matter how much they make or where they live. Inspiring all of them!
you can’t say he did this and did that because of his team. but they couldn’t do shit without him. so that alone makes him an all time great
Thanks for the memories and the inspiration! One of a kind
Loved sports documentary’s growing up reminds me of the 90s as a kid
Emmitt is probably the luckiest (I mean hard working) man on earth... blessed with a successful career, beautiful family...... and omg his wife is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for everything Mr.Smith 🙏🏼 🙏🏼..
Pure Class! Thanks Emmitt!
Trust me some of these episodes make me want to cry. I feel it in my heart after watching each story.
Getting to see Greatness behind the scenes is why I like this show so much.
Great man, great competitor, great player! It all starts with your upbringing, your mother, father and family and his wife's support.
im forever grateful that i was born in 85 and to this day remember watching the Cowboys in there prime, he will always be my favorite running back of all time and the team has a huge place in my heart. Thank you mr smith for everything you did on that field sir.
Thanks Emmitt. You did an awesome job and in return we got to see some of the best football. Every time they said, It's a hand off to Emmitt every body slid up in there seats.
Probably the best to ever do it and a even better man! Emmit Smith is GREAT!
Cool to see the respect that all the running backs have for each other
Doesn't get the respect he deserves in my opinion. People say he played behind the Cowboys line. But he ran for over 8,000 in HS and over 3,000 in college. He has been great for a long time.
Barry Sanders is My All Time Favorite Football Player Barry 🐐
But Emmitt is The Sheeit and I’ve always been a fan.
Even though I haven’t ever liked the team I still love some Emmitt.
Dudes Dope AF
My favorite football player of all time. Emmitt!!!!
That's one crazy cool cat kicking goals to this very day.Everyday is an opportunity to achieve something good in life. What a message, what an inspiration, what a performer.A real living legend!
Loved watching Emma his absolute best true legend as a running back and a solid individual off the field
Emmitt Smith: Simply the best running back to date! 🤠
He gave it his best on the field.
The greatest of all time so good for so long he was taken for granted it happens when someone is consistent for so long
I respect what you did for the game of football and the NFL! I will miss your work ethic, but not beating my Bills. I am still a Bills fan even after all the heartache I have endured. I am still a believer that they will win one one day! I wish you the best in your professional life and with your family! Nuture your family and do not forget this. Peace!
With Josh Allen at QB Buffalo will have a ring sooner rather than later. That dude is a straight up monster.
Dude is of awesome character that we should all aspire to replicate in our own way
somehow i see how in storage wars season 52 they will get to emmith storage room lol
Your Royalty Majesty ⭐ Emmitt Smith ⭐ The World is waiting on your Phenomenal Museum so your leadership and Greatness can be seen by fans from all over the World.Dr.Dixon⭐⭐⭐
I love the life behind the story. The bond between Mr.Smith and Moose.
The appreciation they have for one another is good medicine for us.
Emmit was the best guy to break Walters record. Great player and a great teammate.
He was smart with running the ball.
He has Barry Sanders to thank for retiring early
Miss this dude. It was an honor to watch these games growing up.
As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, much respect two Emmitt smith, your a great player, and a great human being, much respect.
The best Running back that ever played. I’m a Steelers fan
1. you’re wrong. And 2. what the hell does being a steelers fan have to do with the first statement ? like your opinion is somehow validated because you cheer for a different team ? 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
@@jerraddennis2225 like you said, it’s my opinion little man. Go be ignorant somewhere else.
This was 1 damn good documentary
We're in 2022 and he still holds the record
He should be forever thankful to Barry Sanders and his early retirement decision.
@@JermTOOL, Lol no. Barry quit, plain and simple. Smith played as long as he wanted until he physically, mentally, and emotionally couldn't do it anymore. Barry didn't have the drive in him to reach this goal. Which is why he never did it. If anything, had Barry stayed, it would've pushed Emmitt even further. So thank Barry that Smith's yardage is what it is and not over 20k.
Best running back ever. I use to be a huge cowboy fan solely because of Emmitt Smith.
He is the first RB in the Super Bowl era to have led the league in rushing and played on a Super Bowl winning team.
And second is Terrell Davis (1998). Emmitt is the one to also win SB MVP in that same season (1993)!
I played Rugby all my life; but still named my first son after This power house
You know were great when you have a warehouse just for trophies and memorabilia. Not a case, a warehouse.
It's storage unit bro...
On 2Wheels haha yep not a warehouse
So classy just keeping them in a lock up; ego maniacs would have them all over their house
Imagine what Brady has. He might need an Amazon warehouse.
Love Emmitt Smith. Greatest draft pick ever on my Dallas Cowboys team and such a great person too . We don't win 3 superbowls without Emmitt also.
What a player this man was. He was an integral part of a dynasty, that had Jimmy Johnson not left, I'm convinced would have atleast threepeated, maybe more.
Came back to see it again!!! For some reason when Emmitt teared up, I did too. It will NEVER be about skin color. It will always be about ACHIEVEMENT!! As a hard-core Cowboys fan for 55 years, I can safely say Mr. Smith IS the greatest running back in the history of pro-football.
I was hoping to see Emmitt's perspective on the Emmitt vs Barry games. I didn't like Emmitt simply because he played for the Cowboys. Now looking back, I respect him as a person and athlete. I liked his comments on Barry Sanders which shows to me that he is a humble guy.
I went to a Monday Night Football game in Dallas. Emmitt had over 180 plus yards and Barry had 200 plus. It was a great game... unfortunately the Lions won in overtime... :( It was still fun to watch though.
My favorite player E Smith broke all-time NFL leading rushing record on my bday 10-27, 🐐
football taught me that life.. is a team game.. joe namath .. these game help mold young people, men and woman into truly better human beings.. just look at Emmitt and Daryll hugging each other .. tears.. unashamed to declare a very real love for for each other.. a black man and a white man .. in the United States of America.. we are learning.
Emmitt Smith
A True Team Player
A True Champion 🏆🏆🏆
I got to see Emmitt play in the 91-92 season at the LA Coliseum against the Raiders. It was Todd Marinovich against Troy Aikman. Emmitt scored three touchdowns and ran all over the Raiders.
For me I say it's Jim Brown because he ran for I think 12+thousand yards in seasons with only 12-14 games and I believe he only played 8 years. Yes, that's correct I said it. Still no one can take away what emmitt accomplished. He's definitely in my top 3.
Jim Brown also played with 8 different Hall of Fame lineman throughout his career. Emmitt had 1. Larry Allen.
Emmitt is one of the top 10 leaders indeed!!!
👑🦁🥰
I feel sorry for Emmitt the IV. Because he's gonna be expected to be as good as his father if he plays NFL football.
Emmitt Smith career was a beautiful dream unreal
I never realized his impact on the Cardinals. He legit laid the foundation for a SB run a couple years later
Emmitt Smith was one of a kind. I love his interior and his self-drive. What a man. God bless that man. You can all do it and have the drive and a goal. Don't give up. Believe in the Lord you can do it
People say Emmitt had the best offensive line in history those same guys didn't block for him in high school and college he was just great
Does he hold any NCAA records still ? Barry does Emmitt was very good but not in the same League as Barry
@@rpena62 23 100 games college and an all American Emmitt didn't play his senior season he went to the Cowboys and became the goat
@@rpena62 Tony Dorsett does he's in the top 5 in history in all records and he's a cowboy
Eagles fan here and I love me some Emmit! He's great...always has been.
Funny as hell seeing Emmitt with hair because, I never remember seeing Emmit with hair 🏈 Cowboys 4 Life
another 30 yrs will pass & still no
Super Bowl just like the
Cheating Chief's
😆😅🤣😂
Emmitt Smith thank you for playing good football from Florida you're the man
Emmitt was high school player of year in the state of Florida. Over 8,800 yards in high school. At Florida Gators broke all college records as a running back in three years. Really?
I was living in Philly when he got like 230 yards plus rushing against us. One game Wow. He's retired so we Eagle fans can appreciate him now lol❤
As an Arizona Cardinal, I enjoyed seeing Emmit Smith score 2 touchdowns vs the Giants.
What a legend👏🏽 Despite the sliminess of the Cowboys’ owner, he prevailed victorious💪🏽 I remember watching him on Dancing with the Stars as a kid. Didn’t know who he was then, so it’s great to see his life’s journey in this way. God is Good🙌🏽
The greatest quarterback of alltime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!####
This Series is Amazingly put together.
Emmitt Smith far and away the Greatest Cowboys player. Cowboys won without Aikman, without Irvin. They NEVER won without Emmitt Smith.
Think Roger Staubach may have something to say about that 🏈 Cowboys 4 Life💯
Either Emmitt or Bob Lilly.
Larry Allen pound for pound.
Let's not get caught up in this nonsense. Let's just take time to appreciate the fact that trying to pick 4 faces for the Cowboys Mt. Rushmore is a daunting task. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
He was my favorite player.
The great one.... My favourite sports athlete.
The first thing I wanna say is I love me some Emmett Smith! and I love that dream team cowboy magic!
Emmtt Smith #22 is the King but there should be recognition for Darryl Johnson #48, he should have one of these episodes dedicated to him.
