Being able to see so many monuments at once is like going back in time through time and space! Chris's explanation is really great, like a historian, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
Carol: Congratulations to you for your new remarkable video today’s in February of 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand to visit great places in Southeast Asia 2023❤❤❤
Beautiful country- when we went we visited Bangkok- Phuket and Chang Mai. The elephant reserve for injured elephants in Chang Mai was great. Walking alongside the elephants will be something I will never forget.
Great to see the four of you. 🤗 Continued blessings in exploring the world. 🙏 Such a joy to watch you in your highly interesting videos. Very informative! 🥰🏆👍
I prefer Ayutthaya temples than anywhere else in Thailand. Cheers! Btw, you might want to check out the slow boat trip going to Luang Prabang that you can start from either Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai.
Ayuthya is named after Ayodhya the birth city of Lord Ram in the Indian Ramayana. Thai kings also often have Rama in their names and Thai royal courts use Sanskrit rituals with Brahmin priests and Vedic rites especially for coronations.
Hello Chris & Carol awesome video capturing Ancient city of Ayutthaya your journey is amazing have been watching all your videos taken 3 weeks lol I started from recent videos moving backwards and down to where you left the Philippines during covid and returned to Portugal. You are both inspirational I love your videos. Nearly 300k subs Take Care. 😍
The two Prince were killed fighting among themselves wanting to be the rulers of Ayutaya. Both died in this battle which was taken place near Wat Rachaburana. The only temple that was not damaged is the Wat Na Pralarn.
The ancient city of Ayutthaya is so beautiful and a great way to learn about the history of the area. Bangkok is full of amazing sights, sounds and history! I can’t wait to visit sometime soon! Thanks for taking us around with you…so informative and visually stunning!❤
Absolutely loved it 🥰 so interesting! I think I would love exploring Bangkok ‼️ I cannot wait for Chang Mai and Chang Rai this is really where you want to visit the most 😊 Thank you 👌🏼 Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
Absolutely amazing trip to the old city of Thailand the ayuthaya that was the first capital cities back into the 1700 hundred before being attacked by Camboria The ayuthaya were being burned down .
Really great video! You can take a converted rice barge up the Chao Phraya river - excellent tour, some with food & drinks. I wonder how many steps you do in day?
If you plan on the way Chiangmai, , please spend a few day to visit Sukhothai , very beautiful temple , eat local Sukhothai noodle and you can made local Sukhothai pottery inthe village, enjoyed!
Just want to make clear, sorry 😅 the main train station is “Krung Tep Apiwat” station. Hua Lampong station, where you started your trip is no longer the main station.
Hiya. Chris and Carol. The best tour guides around any destination. Beautiful tour around. Informative. Always. Enjoyable content. So happy you have hit 300K. Congratulations. My favorite youtube channel and couple. The food looked tasty. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week.
Yeah Angkor is definitely the most impressive we have been visually, although we actually liked bagan in myanmar more overall. Think mainly because there are over 2000 temples there and the majority you get to on little dirt paths which added to the vibe, and the large majority are completely empty since there are so many.
Oh, I appreciate you researching Ayutthaya old city well about its history. I'm Thai and don't know as much as you. I'm so embarrassed, thank you, I didn't miss a minute.
4.00 Ayutthaya is not the Khmer style like Angor wat.Ayutthaya they had own style. But the inspiration came from Buddhist culture from India not from Khmer style(it is architechtural came from Hindi people from India too)So It's different. you can see most of pagoda it's different.

It seems like you were lucky with the cloudy weather. We went there in March 2019 and the heat was unbearable. 🥲 had to cut the tour short and go home 😅

I kinda prefer the story of them dying trying to fight a mighty elephant. Don’t mess with elephants!
oh right, why would they make up the elephant story on the sign at the temple lol
@@JumpingPlaces Exactly. I’m going with the elephant for sure.
They died in battle both were on elephant back, probably the elephants went berserk and went after each other…….killing their riders!
I prefer your story coz it's the human nature all around the world 👍🇱🇧✌
I will it again thanks for sharing. You can teach world history hahaha
Just came back from Bangkok. Hope to visit again and will look at this video as a way to travel.

Ankor wat and the Cambodia was the colony of Siam for 400+ year, Since the Ayutthaya era.
So, Buda reclined when he got sick and then he died. Any recounts about his resurrection??? Did he die for the salvation of the world??
They will have the modern express train (like the bts) to Ayuthaya in the soon future . It will be convenient to visit there. I love the old city .

THE TEMPLE OF THE ORDER LIGHTS (MORTAL KOMBAT MOVIE)
Wasn’t bloodsport movie filmed here ?
That place is so cool, but after Angkor Wat is hard to be overwhelmed by anything
Yeah Angkor is definitely the most impressive we have been visually, although we actually liked bagan in myanmar more overall. Think mainly because there are over 2000 temples there and the majority you get to on little dirt paths which added to the vibe, and the large majority are completely empty since there are so many.
Ayuthaya army they destroy Angor wat army.
@@JumpingPlaces That place looks so amazing. I'm bummed I didn't make it there yet. Hopefully things will chill out at some point soon
Cambodia belong to Thailand.
Ayuthaya a former Khmer military post
This place is an old city from 400 years ago, not a temple.❤❤❤
I love all the temple ruins and broken artifacts of Ayutthaya. It’s so interesting and unique. 🤙
Oh, I appreciate you researching Ayutthaya old city well about its history. I'm Thai and don't know as much as you. I'm so embarrassed, thank you, I didn't miss a minute.

Glad i went when Thailand wasnt a popular over ran by tourist but hands down to Ankor wat ruins way bigger n interesting than Ayutthaya ruins.

ทุกอย่างถูกเคลือบด้วยทองคำ พม่าจึงเผาและขนเอาทองคำกลับไป
In the past, the capital of Thailand was Ayutthaya not Bangkok
Old city of Bangkok was Krung Thep. A Kampucha city invaded Siam/Ayuttata and reestablished as a new Siam/ Ayuttaya capital after defeat by Burma.
It seems like you were lucky with the cloudy weather. We went there in March 2019 and the heat was unbearable. 🥲 had to cut the tour short and go home 😅
