Bryan is my friend's uncle and I was bowling next to him that night, still so unreal. I'm pretty sure that was me in the video yelling "Come on Bryan"😂
For a well practiced and accomplished bowler, modern equipment has made rolling a 300 not nearly as difficult as it used to be, but to roll three of them in a row is nigh impossible. Very impressive!
Great series Brian. I too have bowled my whole life competitively. Several 300’s, several high 800’s, but you hit the grand daddy! Great job man. My grandfather is who got me into the sport at 5 years old, now I’m 45 lol. Good friend of mine went 879 around 10 years ago or so and holds the record here in Stark County Ohio. I haven’t heard anyone breaking it yet. Well done and great story to go with it!
I’ve done a triple/triple.... Three 900 series’, each of them for three days in a row. No one will ever break my record. 9 300’s, in 9 games...over the span of 3 days
That’s the maximum score you can achieve. Only 36 people have ever done this out of tens of millions of games bowled through the history of the game. Unbelievable
Bowling a 900 series is like a pitcher pitching a perfect game ... three times in a row. Most really good bowlers may rack up a few 300's in their entire lives, but to get three in a row in a single 3-game series? The stars and planets have to be in perfect alignment -- 36 consecutive balls knocking down 10 pins 60 ft. away each and every time. There are much better bowlers than this guy who will never bowl a 900 series. That Monday night was his!
Glen Allison was the first to do it in the early 80s. He did it with a Columbia yellow dot. That was a time when a 300 game still meant something. Todays equipment in my opinion ruined bowling. Two handed bowling should be only for 4 year old girls.
Todays equipment ruined the game. That's what they said when they came out with the yellow dot. That ball was so good, virtually every bowler was using it. Bowling hasn't changed that much. I recently had a 758 and a 736 with a plastic Columbia white dot bowling sweeper tournaments at two different houses the same day.
Nice.I threw my first 300 last night with the black widow spider ball .I know the feeling specially in the 11th frame 😭🤣 I almost over hooked and lucky it pushed through the back and hit the pocket nice.12 shot was money .I was told rule of thumb,is move over a board and half to two boards and sure enough I struck the last one..
@@peterbubb5811 I said nobody cares. including me. meaning it didnt remotely hurt my feelings. And yes.. I believe I will go practice 2 handed bowling. Great idea.
The sports intergrity was seriously compromised. The Pro's are nothing nothing more than a strike fest, especially on TV. Lets see him on dry lanes, wood and drop that shirt in the clothing drop off bin.
Not sure what you mean about the integrity part but the balls are pretty advance anymore and also the pros bowl 50 plus games a week on a sport pattern. Now the guy in this video IMO did not have super high revs and had somewhat bad form at the foul line but still pretty impression that he accomplished an incredible feat of 900 scratch.
Half of this I agree with. It took 60+ years for Allie Brandt's 886 to be broken (not including Glenn Allison, which should have been sanctioned) and then within 20 years, 25+ 900s were bowled. I call BS on the sport. No shade intended on this guy personally, but score inflation negates how special this accomplishment really is from the baseline of the sport, historically. Sure, all sports evolve. But the rules for lane conditions and bowling balls were all-but suspended so that "steroids" (artificially advantageous lane conditions and equipment) could be used with impunity. The industry let it happen because every house was closing for lack of league participation (started in the 1980s). It was a business decision. Second, the PBA is not nearly a strike fest as you might think. The Tour these days is using dual conditions on each pair (left lane a different pattern than the right), and if you follow Jason Belmonte's YT channel, you will see incredible insight into the lane conditions, lane topography, and equipment choices required to be competitive. IMHO, the Tour has never been more challenging given the insane amount of adjustment required over a 6, 8, or 10-game block. They are also more athletic than the classic PBA Tour years prior to the mid-1990s.
This man scored more points in 3 games than I have in the past 3 years.
Yeah I don't bowl at all really either

Good bowling, Brian!

BLUE CORAL VENOM!!! MOTIVE GANGGG
I was really tired and not in a good mood and bowling very average and then the third game I shoot 300 after about 6 beers lol
A ducking 900 is impossible that’s like getting struck by lightening twice getting attacked by 4 sharks and winning the powerball
Not all three, mathematically, but literally two of them, which is still insane

he's two-handed shouldnt count
this is why 2 handed bowling should be illigal. hes not using a thumb. he needs 2 handes to put the ball back like that.
Bowling is dead if you remove 2 handers
They already removed %80 of ball drilling options and all hand positions
That negatively affected two handers
