Dreamshore Forest was written about 23 years ago using a Roland MC-303 as the only sound source. A few weeks back I thought I'd do a remake using only analog synths( For instance I used sampled Oberheim pads in the original, and this time I used a real Oberheim)
As you will notice I added some drums and 303's :)

Carbon Based Lifeforms (CBL) are Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid , both born in 1976 and based in Göteborg, south¬west Sweden. They met when both 15 and are still, amazingly, working happily together, over 25 years later. CBL itself was formed in 1996, as an offshoot from other projects, but it soon became their focal point, culminating in their first release on ‘mp3.com’ in 1998. The duo signed with the celebrated Lyon¬ based ‘Ultimae’ label in 2002 and went independent in 2014 To date they have released six official, full length albums and is one of the biggest names in their genre.
CBL aim to combine earth and space in their music. Using the combination of nature and technology as the main inspiration for their work, they like to represent both the positive and negative effects that this collaboration can lead to.
CBL are frequently present among the headliners of the biggest Psytrance festivals across Europe and have done many shows in Russia and even USA and Australia.
I wish I could find the words to express what a central, grounding anchor your music has been throughout a significant chunk of my life. Some of the memories that are caught up in these specific sounds cut deeply into my soul. I know I can't be the only person your music has had a profound effect on.
I totally agree with you. CBL for me when I discovered them were such an existential profound feeling that I listened to nothing else. It was the ideal form of music for me, transcending a specific feeling that made a world tangible that I would find nowhere else. It doesn´t even feel composed, it feels channeled... I find that very rarely with music. CBL is absolute top for me.
CBL...The best electronic music to date today.Period.
The same I said.

Nice rework.👌
Awesome to see some of the synths and what they are doing- I often wonder what it looks like as they are making these incredible songs.
CBL are out of this world, thank you for all of your work!
One of the best!
Can be compared to Vangelis or Hans Zimmer, cbl is one of the best out there.
Constantin Art. Bits of Tangerine Dream in there, too
It's amazing to me how you did the original with the Roland. While it's interesting how you recreated those sounds today, I'd love to hear how you did it back then!
MISS BOTH OF U VERY MUCH

🤗
Amazing ! Will there be more bts?
Ansioso pra ouvir
Always fun to recreate. I know a lot of people ragged on the MC-303, but you can squeeze some good sounds out of it. Hell, I had a Korg Poly 61 and a Roland MS-1 sampler. I was able to do some fun stuff with it. Sampled My Friend Sam Feat Viola Wills - Its My Pleasure for the breakbeat and added some strings with the Korg and a 2 channel piece of shit DJ mixer from Radio Shack.
Fint!
To think that's I'm here when it says "1 view". So proud :D
👍👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
