Call me weird, but I think mine has to be VLA: 002, it’s truly so psychedelic at some points, it makes me feel like I’m floating, far away from everyone and everything, distant, but in a good way if that makes any sense haha.
This music is playing in HEAVEN. I have no doubt in that.
I have listened to this song for a few years now, really sometimes for hour on repeat. Helps with study, long drives, star gazing with a telescope.

This album inspired the sound track to my short film Strummers Gold. I've found so much peace listening to this through the years and I've had some real deep insights also. It doesn't get much better than CBL

Very Ethereal.......kind of like what Progressive Space Rock would sound like if the Main song riffs were eliminated, and just the Intros and Endings were morphed into an extended melody ! \m/

03 "Somewhere in Russia" is quite amazing. It really reminds me of the Skyrim soundtrack. I no longer play that game, and have not in years, but the nostalgia of a track that evokes the long journeys through the wilds, dungeons, and cities is intense. I recall many nights spent exploring and adventuring. The feelings of contentment I experienced while sitting alone at home in my own digital world make those some very nice memories, and I'm happy they rose to the surface due to this album.
Yes, it is magical, it really reminds me of Russia and my childhood. I think that true artists can transfer emotions and feelings into their art, and Carbon Based Lifeforms managed to do this in many of their works

It is very fitting, or perhaps my brain has just decided that an album called Twentythree should be listened to a lot in 2023, while I'm 23 years old.

For some reason, "Somewhere in Russia" makes me imagine a top secret underground research laboratory in northern Siberia, completely protected from the prying eyes of the West, where the unexplained is studied by a nation that believes not in political freedom, but in a more existential kind.

Hard to say which song I like the most. So many good tunes on this one. I'd have to probably go with either Intertia or Terpene.
+Xerxes Break I don't even consider CBL albums to be divided into separate tracks in a way, with VLA this is empirically what they have done. They are all stunning :)
+Xerxes Break Some say consistency is a good thing. I generally like consistent albums, if I'm going to listen to an album, and especially if I'm going to buy one. They've got that 100% perfected here. All good tunes.

I don't bother seeing banners each track, and don't bother seeing video ads at the beginning and the end: labels and artists shall get revenue for their competent work and I'm fine with this. But the VIDEO ads in the MIDDLE of the album oohhhMFG; they are really annoying! Even more annoying when the music genre is supposed to get our minds away from mundane crap.
