Just watch a boss review and they said the footswitch needs a TRS [Tip Ring Cable which is like a stereo double-ring jack] cable which is different to a 1/4 in xlr.

It's not that necessarily, it's that the gafc isn't compatible w the 50w model. You can use a 2ch ab switch to go through your 4 presets but you can't use the gafc to control the amp so this is a workaround for that.
If I were to purchase again I would just get the 100w with gafc

not with the 50watt model. only with with 100w. you can get the channel switch for the 50w though

I am so sorry I never responded!
This footswitch works with the app that is used to control this amp via USB cable. This amp has no mobile-app that connects directly to it.
