video that was 2 years ago is still helping me to this day i was going to get the fs-6 for xmas and i have saved alot of money for my parents getting this instead. thanks!
You are an absolute legend. Was looking at Boss one and this one. I was worried that this one might not work because I know some companies make proprietary products that only work when using their house brand. Thanks for saving me the money for that switch.
I'm guessing this will work with the katana artist MK2, maybe I'll give it a punt. I'm using the Airstep with my amp but at £11.30 it won't hurt to have a simple alternative like this.
I have a question to ask, If you set the presets from the app and then disconnect the amp from the pc, are the presets the same or they just go to what is accessible for the physical amp? Great video by the way, you are saving me 60 euro!
Yep. The switch is independent of a pedals. Switch plugs into the switch input at the back to control the amp patches. Then you can run a pedal board as usual from your guitar, through the board and into the main input on top in the normal way.
Just testet the FS-2 on a K100 MK1 (not head, but I think their interface is the same). It works well to switch the bank and between channels 1 and 2 (only them), just like it's documented in the manual. You have to use the SEL CH 1 CH 2/EXP plug, not the GA-FC here.
@@shakyblues2099 yeah I’ve been researching a bit, thanks for the help. The amp I bought last night didn’t have a footswitch connector. Couldn’t get another amp because I’m on a budget and wanted to get the best I could. Thanks for your help again.
@@Piastowicc If your amp doesn't have a footswitch for fx, you can get a couple of cheaper pedals to put in line instead. The Behringer pedals are very cheap and quite good for starters, then you could progress to more expensive stuff later. Second hand Behringer pedals are literally a few pounds/dollars on ebay and sound great. As a beginner I'd say an overdrive pedal, a reverb pedal (if you don't have reverb built into your amp already) and a delay pedal are the basics. Good luck with it all.
@@shakyblues2099 Good idea, I was looking at some pedals the other day. I’m a big nirvana fan so I was thinking of investing in a boss-ds1 and a small clone chorus pedal. It’s costs a bit but I’m willing to wait a bit to get the grunge sound.

Great. Glad it helped.

Pleasure. Happy to help.
Same story right here.
Thanks very much for that - I've just ordered one.....now 11 quid and a tenner delivery so still a great price!!!
Thanks for the video, I was just about to buy the fs-6 but you just saved me a bunch of money.
And that's all i needed to know.
Thank you veeery much.
Thanks fella, just ordered!
Absolutly amazing. I'm getting me one as quickly as i can.
Super awsome for my Katana 1 super amp.
Oh yeah man!! The informations that i was lookin for!!!
Thanks man!! Just the info I needed!! 😊👍🏻👏🏻
Really useful info. Was this straight out the box or is any software tweaking required? 👍
Straight out of the box. Plug it in, off you go.
@@shakyblues2099 Many thanks! 👍
Thank you! Would there also be a way I could use the FS-2 and the Nektar Exp Pedal simultaneously? :)
No idea. Haven't used the Nektar.
Best of luck.
Where does the cable that connects the guitar to the footswitch go?
Guitar plugs into the front of the amp as normal. Footswitch plugs into the Footswitch jack socket on the back of the amp.
@@shakyblues2099 Thank you😊
No were! You plug your footswitch cable in the back of your amp.And your guitarcable in your amp.( Katana amp)
That's all.

Nice ! Works on my boss 100mk2.

Glad to save you some money.
I've never used the app, just the on board stuff.
Good luck.
If you write the presets to the amp, using the software, then they stay on the amp until they are overwritten.
Hi mate, does this work as a switcher WITH a pedalboard so i can switch patches from lead, hi gain, clean 1, clean 2?
Yep.
The switch is independent of a pedals.
Switch plugs into the switch input at the back to control the amp patches. Then you can run a pedal board as usual from your guitar, through the board and into the main input on top in the normal way.
Do you know if this will work for the Boss Katana 100 MK1 head?
No idea. My mate has the 100w combo and that requires a four switch foot controller.

Any suggestions for the 100 MKii?
Unfortunately not.
I've not seen a 4-way footswitch on Thomann for Katana.
Worth looking through their site though.
@@shakyblues2099 Thanks!
For katana 100/head/artist mk2 you should check out Airstep Kat. There's bunch of videos out there, it really makes editing your tone easy!
It works, i have 100 mk2
Can I use it for enable / disable SOLO mode??
No idea, sorry
No. The best way to do this is to set up your Solo mode as one of the Presets then it can be selected with a footswitch.
Is it compatible with cube street 2?
No idea, sorry.
Feel sorry and stupid to ask but as a beginner where do you plug the guitar into the amp? I’m considering buying it but I don’t wanna waste money
Hello mate.
Footswitch goes in the Footswitch input on the back.
Guitar goes in the normal input on the top.

Check this guy out. He's the king of budget pedals and a massive grunge fan.
Does it work for roland cube amp??
No idea, sorry.
Does it work with boss katana 50 mkI?
No idea, sorry
Yes it does.
Are you able to switch to panel mode so you can play what the panel is currently set at rather than the pre sets?
Not that I can see unfortunately
Not with a footswitch. You have to use the Panel button on the amp. It will go back to a Preset if you use the Footswitch again.
Where to buy?
www.thomann.de/gb/lead_foot_fs2.htm
how is this powered?
It's passive. No power supply needed
